Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2531: CEO Caddel, You Are a Very Gentlemanly Person
In the open space outside the venue, Will Caddel opened an umbrella and pulled Jasmine Yale closer to his side.
They stood side by side by the roadside waiting for Will Caddel’s driver.
The early morning wind blew by, bringing a slight chill. After her shower, Jasmine Yale felt refreshed and comfortable.
Will Caddel didn’t ask anything, didn’t say a superfluous word, nor did he embarrass her.
In less than five minutes, the driver drove over, and the Bentley stopped in the rain.
"Let’s go, get in the car." Will Caddel tilted the umbrella towards her side.
"Thank you, CEO Caddel." Upon getting in the car, Jasmine Yale glanced up at Will Caddel standing in the rain.
Raindrops fell beside him, his tall figure blending into the dark night scenery, mature and steady, with a gentle aura.
"Thanks for what." He got into the car as well.
As the car door closed, the noisy world outside was locked away, leaving only boundless comfort and ease.
At that moment, Jasmine Yale recalled a saying: If one could find peace in simplicity, who would choose a life of upheaval.
She laughed at herself for being sentimental.
The street lights reflected on the car window, with rainwater trickling down the glass, shimmering in the dark.
As Jasmine Yale looked out the window, she seemed to see a black Maybach flash by in the rain.
When she wanted to take a closer look, the car had already disappeared.
The driver started the car.
The Bentley sped through the rain.
"CEO Caddel, are you tired? If you are, take a nap. I noticed you drank a lot tonight."
"I’m okay, not too sleepy."
"Do you have trouble sleeping after drinking too much?"
"A little, but I can still fall asleep when I’m tired. It’s not a big problem."
"Take good care of yourself. You did say that health comes first." Jasmine Yale reminded.
"Hmm."
The car was dark, and Will Caddel didn’t say much more, rubbing his temple, leaning back tiredly on the seat.
Jasmine Yale didn’t speak again either. She was truly exhausted, resting her head, and soon dozed off.
The car first drove to Jasmine Yale’s neighborhood.
Will Caddel knew she didn’t have an umbrella: "Jasmine, you didn’t bring an umbrella, right? I’ll walk you downstairs."
"Just lend me your umbrella, no need to get out of the car. It’s too much trouble."
"You always refuse me, and I’m not used to being repeatedly declined because it feels quite embarrassing."
Jasmine Yale laughed, "CEO Caddel, you’re quite a gentleman."
"Am I? Maybe..." Will Caddel’s voice trailed off, a deep light in his eyes.
Jasmine Yale didn’t refuse him again.
Will Caddel stepped out with the umbrella, walking alongside her on the quiet path in the neighborhood.
At this hour, there was no one around, very dark, very quiet, like a paradise away from the world. As the wind blew by, the leaves on the roadside trees would fall with a rustling sound, gently rubbing against the ground.
Neither of them spoke, just walked quietly, even their footsteps were light. Will Caddel’s umbrella was always tilted towards Jasmine Yale, preventing her from getting wet.
This path wasn’t long, and they soon reached the end.
There were fallen leaves and flower petals on the road, and the air was filled with fragrance.
"We’re here, CEO Caddel, you should head back. It’s late, and you have a morning meeting tomorrow." Jasmine Yale was quite concerned for him, worried about his health.
"You head up first."
"Alright, remember to drink some hangover tea tonight, otherwise, you’ll feel awful. The weather is stuffy, but be careful not to catch a cold."
"You’re really good at taking care of people." Will Caddel smiled.
"Maybe... I’ve gotten used to taking care of my daughter."
