Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2551: My Family Used to Be Strict

  • Next Chapter

Sunday, the movie premiere.

Justin Usama arrived on time to pick up Jasmine Yale.

The premiere was held in a large venue, and sure enough, many Hallywood stars and media were present, with flashing lights constantly flickering on site.

There were lots of celebrities, and although Jasmine Yale couldn’t recognize them all, Justin Usama would introduce each one to her, explain to her, and even discuss some of the movies’ plots.

Jasmine Yale listened with great interest.

It was her first time at such a place, and she found it very novel.

Their seats weren’t far from the front, allowing them to see every expression on everyone’s face clearly.

"Celebrities generally look much better in person than on TV," Jasmine Yale sighed, "Their skin is really good, so well-maintained."

"You’re younger than them, no need to be envious."

"It’s just that I’m not that age yet—when I reach it, who knows what I’ll become."

"Don’t worry, you’ll still look great." Justin Usama sat next to her.

The venue was noisy, and after a while of excitement, the premiere began.

Jasmine Yale watched intently, occasionally taking photos with her phone. The atmosphere was very harmonious, and her heart leapt with excitement.

She had never attended such an event before; she hadn’t even been to a singer’s concert.

"Jasmine, do you like these kinds of events? I mean, ones like this."

"I quite like them; the atmosphere is great."

"I like them too. I originally thought you preferred quiet, independent, free spaces."

"Not at all." Jasmine Yale shook her head, "I’m quite a simple person, I like lively and crowded places."

"If there’s another similar event in the future, I’ll keep a ticket for you."

"Oh, it’s too much trouble. How about I treat you to dinner tomorrow?" Jasmine Yale turned to look at him.

Today, Jasmine Yale wore a simple blue shirt, with her hair tied up, looking fresh and full of energy and vitality.

"Sure, just send me the address, and I’ll be there on time."

"Alright!"

"Have you ever attended such events before? Whether it’s a premiere or a star’s concert, I remember back in my student days, I really liked listening to a singer’s songs, and as soon as I heard they were having a concert, I would buy tickets early and fly over, it’s actually quite an interesting memory when I think about it now."

Jasmine Yale shook her head: "No, my family was strict before; if I went home late, I’d get scolded."

"Is that so? No wonder you look like a good student."

"Now I’m free, it doesn’t matter as long as I take care of my daughter, I’m free at other times."

"So do you prefer your current life or your past life?" Justin Usama asked casually.

"Each has its differences."

"Yes, each is different, nothing to compare, see, I asked a stupid question." Justin Usama was quite an easygoing person, with a good temper and personality that were easy to get along with.

Jasmine Yale smiled, didn’t mind, and continued watching the premiere with him.

Jasmine Yale met many celebrities, and although she wasn’t a fan, she was very happy, acting like a student.

Justin Usama would sometimes speak to her softly, very politely, and would take the initiative to start conversations; they got along without awkwardness.

Although they didn’t have much in common or many topics to discuss, Justin Usama always managed to keep the atmosphere lively.

A lot of things Jasmine Yale didn’t need to worry about, Justin Usama handled very well, like handing her a bottle of mineral water when she was thirsty, or noticing she particularly liked a certain female celebrity and even getting an autograph for her.
