Chapter 2582: Little Clementine, Put Down the Rag Doll

"I really like them," Jasmine Yale said cheerfully, "They’re beautiful shoes, CEO Caddel has great taste."

"I’m glad you like them," Will Caddel smiled slightly, "Let’s go, to the coffee room, our partners are waiting for us."

"Okay."

Jasmine Yale put on the new shoes and walked back with Will Caddel.

The new shoes matched her pencil skirt well, not looking incongruous, adding a touch of freshness to her sharp appearance.

However, wearing flat shoes made her much shorter than Will Caddel, so she had to slightly tilt her head whenever talking to him. Whenever she did, Will couldn’t help but smile, probably because he found her demeanor amusing.

The meeting lasted until after one o’clock in the afternoon.

It was a lie to say they weren’t hungry.

Will Caddel took her to have steak.

He was always a gentleman, pulling out a chair for Jasmine Yale, carefully laying out her napkin, and cutting the steak for her.

Being with Will was effortless for Jasmine Yale; she hardly needed to worry about anything herself.

She even had a poor sense of direction, so all she had to do was follow Will when walking.

"In the afternoon we’ll go to the trade building, no need to be as tense as in the morning, just relax," Will Caddel said.

Mid-meal, Will went to the smoking room, leaving Jasmine Yale sitting alone by the window, looking at the baby’s breath on the table and the sky outside.

Will was taking his time, so Jasmine simply took out her phone to video call Little Clementine.

On the other side of the phone, Little Clementine was babbling, her big eyes blinking as she kept smiling at Jasmine Yale.

She still hadn’t kicked the habit of chewing on toys, prompting Jasmine Yale to glare at her: "Little Clementine, let go of the doll."

Only then did Little Clementine foolishly drop the doll, probably afraid of her.

"Silly girl," Jasmine Yale laughed, wondering, who does this silliness resemble?

Her? But she’s not silly.

Just seeing Little Clementine made Jasmine Yale smile brightly, revealing two rows of pearl-white teeth, her eyes full of laughter.

The brilliant sunlight fell upon her face, and her long eyelashes gently fluttered, her large eyes always gazing at Little Clementine.

Little Clementine kept looking back, still grinning foolishly.

Jasmine Yale talked to her for a while, never feeling bored, as Little Clementine just stared at Jasmine and occasionally reached out for a hug.

Jasmine Yale also wanted to hug her.

But she still had several days before she could return.

After about ten minutes, she reluctantly ended the video call and continued eating the steak on her plate.

Will Caddel returned from smoking, still looking elegant, with a smile in his eyes.

After finishing the steak, Jasmine Yale drank the drink Will ordered for her, resting her head with a satisfied look.

Seeing that Will wasn’t eating much, Jasmine felt a bit embarrassed: "CEO Caddel, have I eaten too much? During pregnancy, my appetite grew large and I can’t change it now."

"I didn’t notice, if you ate a lot, you wouldn’t still be so slim."

"Okay, maybe I’ve gained a little weight recently."

"Oh? Can’t tell," Will Caddel laughed, "It looks like we don’t have any plans for the evening, I’ll take you shopping, I plan to get a pen myself."

"Sure, thank you, CEO Caddel."

"No need to be polite."

As Jasmine Yale sipped her drink, Will Caddel sat on the sofa chatting with her.

Sometimes, he would talk to her about Old York’s local customs and fashion, but he rarely mentioned his past life or current private life.

Jasmine Yale didn’t pry into his privacy; she talked about whatever he talked about.

Most of the time, she was a very good listener.
