Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2594: Winning or Losing Is Not the Outcome
When it was ZR’s turn to speak, Jasmine Yale represented the company, explaining ZR’s philosophy and management strengths to the other side, and expressing their determination and confidence in participating in the bid.
Her presentation was very clear and well-organized. Will Caddel didn’t say anything, but there was always a slight upward curve at the corner of his mouth, showing great satisfaction.
After roughly ten minutes of free presentation time and ten minutes of Q&A, Jasmine Yale returned to Will Caddel’s side twenty minutes later.
She scanned the venue, always feeling there was a unique gaze, but after a quick glance, she couldn’t figure it out.
"Very good, your work is becoming more and more proficient," Will Caddel remarked.
"That’s because CEO Caddel is such a good teacher. CEO Caddel, do you think we have a chance with this case?"
"There are many companies here, so the chances are not very high. However, your proposal is quite distinctive, and it depends on the organizers’ decision," Will Caddel said. "This time, the focus is on participation. Winning or losing isn’t the outcome. Your performance has already made me very satisfied."
"CEO Caddel, are you trying to give me some experience?" Jasmine Yale laughed.
"Experience is good, and so is practical battle. As long as there is something to gain, that’s the goal."
"CEO Caddel is different from others."
"Oh? How am I different?"
"You don’t care that much about the outcome."
Will Caddel smiled, a deep meaning in his eyes. He neither confirmed nor denied it.
He silently watched the stage, observing one company after another go up.
Jasmine Yale didn’t speak again, her palms covered in a layer of sweat. She took a big gulp of mineral water to calm the heat in her heart.
The venue was bustling, while outside, the sun was shining brightly.
She didn’t expect Erin Janus to come over midway.
She was buried in writing detailed notes, writing very seriously. When she looked up to rest slightly, she suddenly saw a woman with a big belly.
Pregnant women were not common around here, so Erin Janus was especially noticeable.
Erin Janus found her seat, crossed her arms, and looked at the stage expressionlessly.
Her assistant handed her a document and the organizer’s brochure, but she couldn’t be bothered to look at them and just sat there.
Beside her, Jasmine Yale noticed an empty seat with a laptop placed on it. That laptop looked very familiar—he was here too?
No wonder...
Jasmine Yale withdrew her gaze and continued to focus on writing her meeting report.
Will Caddel sat next to her, going through documents and marking things with a pen.
The venue was still crowded, becoming somewhat stuffy.
Jasmine Yale finished a bottle of mineral water, and Will Caddel looked at her, "Are you hungry? What do you want for lunch?"
"Isn’t it said that the canteen will provide a unified meal?"
"You want to eat at the canteen?" Will Caddel laughed.
"I wanted to compare it with ZR’s canteen."
"What, do you usually have complaints about ZR’s canteen that you haven’t mentioned? Hmm?"
"You guessed it, can the chef put a little less salt next time?" Jasmine laughed.
"As the Deputy Secretary, you have the power to solve that when we get back."
"No, I don’t like to do such nasty things."
"So... are you suggesting that I play the villain?"
Jasmine Yale laughed, and so did Will Caddel.
While chatting with Will Caddel, Jasmine occasionally looked up to see Erin Janus not far away.
Erin, clearly bored sitting there alone, didn’t really like listening to the dull speeches, and couldn’t sit still after a while, playing games on her phone.
About fifteen minutes later, Sylvan Cheney returned to his seat.
