Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2612: Realizing She’s a Bit Out of Control

  • Next Chapter

The next day, back to Old York.

Jasmine Yale took a day off from Will Caddel.

She didn’t go anywhere, spent the entire day at home with Little Clementine.

Little Clementine saw her return and crawled towards the door on the carpet, her big eyes sparkling.

Jasmine Yale hugged her tightly, kissing her with a mix of reluctance and indulgence.

"Miss Yale, you’re back. This business trip was a bit long; Little Clementine missed you a lot."

"I missed Little Clementine too. I thought about her day and night, thinking of her while eating, thinking of her while sleeping." Jasmine Yale kissed the little one, holding her hand.

She hadn’t forgotten last night’s nightmare. At this moment, truly holding her daughter, she realized that it was just a nightmare; her Little Clementine was still safely at home.

Little Clementine snuggled closely to Jasmine Yale, nuzzling against her neck with her soft cheeks.

"Baby, Mommy won’t go anywhere today, I’ll stay with you. Mommy brought lots of gifts for you; shall we take a look?"

Jasmine Yale asked Butler Santana to open the suitcase while she sat on the carpet at home with Little Clementine in her arms.

As soon as the suitcase was opened, Little Clementine curiously started grabbing Jasmine Yale’s things.

"That’s Mommy’s clothes. Look, this, this is the new outfit I bought for Little Clementine." Jasmine Yale unfolded a pale blue little sweater, "Come, let’s try it on."

Jasmine Yale put the little sweater on Little Clementine directly, and it fit perfectly.

Little Clementine giggled, showing her cute small baby teeth.

Jasmine Yale took out her phone: "Little Clementine, don’t move, Mommy’s going to take a picture of you. One, two, three..."

With a "click," Jasmine Yale took a joyful photo of Little Clementine.

Looking at her obedient and adorable daughter, Jasmine Yale couldn’t tell where the emotion came from, she hugged Little Clementine tightly, her eyes rimmed with redness.

Little Clementine rested quietly in Jasmine Yale’s arms, her small hands clutching Jasmine Yale’s clothes.

Jasmine Yale held Little Clementine like this, unwilling to let go for a long time.

Nearby, Butler Santana was at a loss, wondering what’s wrong with Miss Yale... After going to Old York, her mood seemed off.

Perhaps Little Clementine was also startled, she didn’t move, lying still.

After a while, Jasmine Yale realized she was a bit out of control, placing Little Clementine on the carpet.

She gave gifts to Little Clementine, read bedtime stories to her, fed her... She spent the whole day revolving around Little Clementine.

She placed the eternal flower given by Will Caddel in the bedroom drawer and hung the unity knot on the wall.

Sometimes, she would also hold Little Clementine in a daze, her gaze wandering over the white walls at home.

...

In golden autumn October, osmanthus fragrance filled the air.

The leaves on the street trees were once again entering the time of decline, what was once vibrant foliage, now with a blow of the wind, would spin in the sky, dancing forlornly to the ground.

After a cold snap, the entire Cakago seemed to change overnight from green to withered yellow.

As far as the eye could see, there was a desolate chill, with the red maple leaves being the sole vitality.

Summer has passed.

Autumn has quietly arrived.

Sunshine no longer blazes like in summer, but has become gentle.

Jasmine Yale’s work was becoming more and more competent, no longer going on business trips but instead starting to handle several financial cases thrown her way by Will Caddel.

On this day, she went to deliver documents to Will Caddel.

Will Caddel stood at the window smoking, his back to her.

She rarely saw Will Caddel smoking and knocked on the door.
