Though the man had aged, his facial contours were very similar to Will Caddel, making it apparent that he must have resembled Will quite a bit when he was younger.

Jasmine Yale paused her steps and did not advance further; instead, she smiled and nodded slightly, signaling, "President Caddel."

The secretary stepped forward and whispered two sentences in the man’s ear. He nodded and waved, "You all can leave."

The women smoking reluctantly stood up, cast another glance at Jasmine Yale, and twisted their waists as they left the private room.

In an instant, everyone in the room had left, leaving only Jasmine Yale and President Caddel.

President Caddel’s face was expressionless as he smoked, gazing at Jasmine Yale, staring at her with an unfathomable look in his eyes.

The private room was silent, and even the music was turned off, allowing the sound of the rain outside to be heard. The lighting remained ambiguous, a blend of colorful lights.

The man sat with his legs crossed, continuously looking at the standing Jasmine Yale.

Jasmine greeted him, but he did not respond.

Feeling uneasy under his gaze, she smiled slightly, "President Caddel, is there something you wanted to discuss with me?"

He did not speak but continued to look at Jasmine Yale.

Jasmine wondered if her attire was inappropriate and glanced down at her clothes, which seemed fine.

Tonight, she wore a conventional white shirt and a black pencil skirt, dignified and professional, nearly suitable for any occasion.

"Is your name Jasmine Yale?" He finally spoke, his voice a standard Kong Hong accent, deep and resonant, eyes never leaving her face.

"I am Jasmine Yale."

"My son is quite impressive..." he smirked, a gleam in his eyes.

Jasmine didn’t understand what he meant and furrowed her brow, "President Caddel, is there something you wanted to discuss with me?"

President Caddel extinguished the cigarette in his hand and tossed it into the ashtray, lowering his crossed leg, intertwining his fingers, and leaning forward slightly.

Jasmine Yale stood only two steps away from him.

This President Caddel was different from what she imagined, unpredictable, revealing no emotions.

The room was filled with the smell of smoke; she frowned, waiting for his response.

However, he remained silent, just watching her, scrutinizing her.

Jasmine was lost and confused, her head starting to ache slightly, so she said, "President Caddel... if there’s nothing urgent, I should return to handle the Oasis contract, I still have a report to finish tonight."

"How is my son treating you?" He suddenly spoke again.

"Vice CEO Caddel? He treats me well; my salary and benefits are more than satisfactory. Vice CEO Caddel is generally kind to people, has a good temper, and is very patient."

The man stared into her eyes, "How did you get into ZR?"

"I submitted my resume and got in through the interview," Jasmine Yale didn’t quite understand the purpose of his questions but answered truthfully.

"You’ve had quite a bit to drink tonight; girls shouldn’t be drinking."

"I’m fine; I didn’t drink too much, just some work-related socializing."

"My son really has a mind for this," the man sneered, "I underestimated him."

Jasmine still didn’t understand what he meant. He looked at her, and she scrutinized him a few times.

The man was dressed in designer clothes, and the Patek Philippe watch on his wrist shimmered under the lights; a discarded cigarette box and lighter lay near his hand.

"President Caddel..." she tentatively called out to him, "It’s getting late; perhaps I should be going."

"My son treats you well?" He interrupted her.
