Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2652: So What If You Spoil a Little Girl?

  • Next Chapter

In the afternoon, Jasmine Yale sent her employee badge, company documents, and resignation letter to ZR. She did not plan to step into the company again.

Butler Santana didn’t ask anything. She was never one to like asking questions and always respected all of Jasmine Yale’s decisions.

During this time, work was busy, and the Oasis project was always her responsibility. Now she finally didn’t have to be busy anymore.

She took Little Clementine to play at the indoor amusement park, to the park, and to see flowers.

The autumn sun was warm and bright, not hot.

Little Clementine loved riding the little train the most.

When the little train started with a "buzz," she clapped her hands happily.

"One ticket for the little train, please." Jasmine Yale handed over the US Dollar.

"Today is the mall’s anniversary, there’s a promotion. Buy two tickets and get one free."

Jasmine Yale shook her head with a smile, "No need, just one ticket."

"Alright."

Jasmine Yale held Little Clementine as they sat in the little train, with Little Clementine leaning on the front, her big eyes looking out.

The little train started, chugging along bumpily, and it was exceptionally fun.

Little Clementine giggled the entire time, waving her small hands around.

Jasmine Yale snuggled lovingly against her daughter, her cheek touching Little Clementine’s soft face.

When they were having the most fun, Little Clementine turned her face: "Ma... Ma..."

"Mom is here, always here." Jasmine Yale held her hand.

Little Clementine couldn’t be happier, her face full of joy.

They were sitting on the little train, and no one noticed the burning eyes watching them from the mall’s VIP guest lounge by the window.

Beside Sylvan Cheney’s hand was a cup of steaming hot coffee, which he hadn’t taken a sip of, sitting upstairs, looking through the window downstairs.

Wherever the little train turned, his gaze followed.

His chiseled face had sharp lines, with tightly pressed thin lips, a deep gaze, and throughout, his face bore little expression—just calm and quiet.

Her ability to heal was much better than he had imagined.

The little train took only ten minutes to make a round.

After ten minutes, the little train stopped.

Little Clementine hadn’t had enough fun yet. As soon as it stopped, she clung to Jasmine Yale’s sleeve with her soft little hand, looking at her pitifully.

"Alright, let’s go play something else, the little wooden horse, do you like it?"

Little Clementine was reluctant to leave.

Jasmine Yale held her, but she clung to the little train’s steering wheel.

"Little Clementine, be good, let’s go play something else." Jasmine Yale coaxed and persuaded.

The staff came over: "Ma’am, you can buy another ticket. If the child likes it, let her play a bit longer."

"You can’t spoil kids like this." Jasmine Yale laughed.

"What’s wrong with spoiling little girls a bit?" Sylvan Cheney walked over and stood in front of them.

Jasmine Yale was surprised and turned her head.

He had changed into a new outfit, a dark shirt, black suit pants, his entire presence exuding the mature aura of a man in his thirties, with understated charm in his stern face.

Jasmine Yale did not speak, but Little Clementine jumped on Jasmine Yale’s lap, reaching out her little hand towards Sylvan Cheney, blinking her big eyes: "Da...daddy..."

Jasmine Yale had never taught her to call for daddy, never at all.

Little Clementine’s call made Sylvan Cheney’s heart soften suddenly, with chaotic emotions flashing through his mind.

He was conquered by the sweet, sticky voice, and a wave of electric current surged through his heart.

It was a complex and wondrous feeling.
