Chapter 2067: Chapter 1628: Is He Going to Devour Morania?

Everyone scattered in different directions to search. Anthony thought for a moment, then flew toward Morania; that God Star was the closest to them, and had probably been scared away the very first moment.

But if you’re in a strange place and can’t find any native creatures, what’s the first thing you should do? Of course you find a local to lead the way.

If a God Star doesn’t build a Star Bridge, its speed of movement is far slower than that of a Star Descendant, and even more so compared to a Stacked Ghost with more than two Stacked Pieces.

Anthony swung left, swung right, it felt like just a casual flick of his hand, and he easily caught up.

Sure enough, Morania was flying in a straight line at full speed toward the nearest material cloud, without even looking back.

But his accelerated movement put a huge strain on the lives on his body; his hard shell kept cracking open, spiderweb-like fissures spreading over the entire God Star.

The Tree People or Rock Turtles roaming over the shell were in constant peril, dodging the massive cracks that suddenly appeared on the ground and the high-temperature hot streams that gushed out. Fortunately it was only hot air; if Star Flame had erupted, nothing near those cracks would have survived.

Anthony changed his form into a Star God’s Body and slowly landed on the rock shell’s surface. Morania noticed his arrival; his Thought swept over, discovered he was a Star Descendant, and turned away again. He probably thought Anthony just wanted a ride.

He really had zero sense of vigilance. A star had just blown up this close to him, and now he was carelessly letting an unfamiliar Star Descendant land on his body. Do these God Stars not know anything about disguises? Or has there never been a Ghost Guide who disguised themselves as a Star Descendant?

Anthony couldn’t figure it out and temporarily set the question aside, wandering casually over the surface of the God Star.

Apart from the creatures on the rock shell being affected by the God Star’s haste to travel, the rest of the areas weren’t much impacted. The residents’ lives continued as usual, full of vitality, everything thriving, bustling with noise and excitement.

Although all the creatures here lived on the body of the Tree of All Worlds, the surface area was so huge that the divine tree only occupied one-third of the surface, and that was enough to support tens of billions of inhabitants.

Besides the Mors, Anthony also saw some Elves. They were humanoid, but their skin was a layer of smooth, dense, blackened tree bark.

In this high-temperature environment of a God Star, sun protection and heat insulation had already become a default feature built into their skin.

Anthony stared curiously for a few more moments and happened to see one of the Tree Bark Elves take out something like a block of hardwood and start crunching into it.

"This Elf’s teeth... are kinda impressive." Anthony stared in shock at the block of hardwood in his hand.

This stuff could be used to build houses on the Master Plane, and was probably harder than those green bricks. Yet the Tree Bark Elf was biting it off chunk by chunk and chewing it down. If you brought this Elf to the human Master Plane, he could be used as a jaw-type rock crusher.

In his shock, Anthony couldn’t help thinking of a question: "Where do they get these foodstuffs from? Are they grown?"

Crops planted on the surface of a God Star—even if only on the hard shell or on the Tree of All Worlds—were able to withstand the high temperatures here. Lord Seed would definitely love these.

So Anthony slipped into the crowd, keeping his eyes on these Tree Bark Elves, to see where their food came from.

After some investigation, Anthony arrived at a place like a marketplace, where Mors and Tree Bark Elves were trading all kinds of things.

At the entrance of the market, there was a stall with a strange machine. The bottom of it was suspended in midair. Someone placed a bucket under the hanging outlet, pressed a button, and small pebbles poured out of the opening, quickly filling the bucket.

This person carried the bucket of "gravel" back to a huge millstone and poured the pebbles in. They were soon ground into fine powder. They piled this powder into a square mold and pressed it down with all their strength.

After pressing, they didn’t even need to cook it; the air temperature was so high that it soon sintered the powder into a solid block.

These edible bricks were set aside, and every now and then someone would come up to buy a piece or two.

Luo Lin went back to that pebble-spitting machine again. What he needed to know now was how this machine spat out the little stones—were they being transferred from somewhere else, or being converted from something?

The people buying the little stones came in an endless stream, but he never saw anyone add anything to the machine. Only after four days did Anthony see someone open a small port on the machine and stuff in a Crystal Stone that sealed a fingernail-sized bit of Star Flame.

This machine actually consumed Star Flame? No wonder there were people riding Tree People and Rock Turtles all over the outer crust, roaming around; so they were out searching for Star Flame.

Looked at this way, this device was a great piece of equipment. As long as you fed it Star Flame, it could continuously produce these edible little stones, solving the food problem. Wasn’t this just as miraculous as Ange kneading bread out of the Force of Faith before?

Anthony stayed here for a full ten days and observed for ten days, confirming that this was a well-functioning world of life. He even bought one of those machines that could produce the little stones, planning to present it to the Lord.

Ten days later, Morania finally entered the material cloud.

Why did so many God Stars on the Lania Road hide inside this material cloud?

Because this material cloud was the best hiding space. They had only carved out a huge cavity for ease of communication, but in fact, when danger appeared, the best refuge was still these material clouds.

Once you plunged in, you couldn’t see your own hand in front of your face, and you couldn’t detect whatever lay ahead. Before long, Morania crashed into another, much larger Rock Shell Divine Star.

This Rock Shell Divine Star was three times the size of Morania, with the mass of twenty-four Little Fireman Divine Stars.

Seeing the other party, Morania actively flickered once, sending a greeting message, then prepared to detour around.

When two meet on a narrow path, the smaller one yields to the larger. This is an unwritten rule in any world, because it’s a law of physics: if you don’t yield, the smaller one shatters.

Who knew the Big God Star actually blocked Morania, a point on its rock shell flashing with Divine Light.

Anthony couldn’t understand and hurriedly sent the Divine Light he’d seen through the Soul Network back home, then asked, "Lord Nage, what are these Divine Lights saying?"

Negris said speechlessly, "I can’t even see them clearly, how am I supposed to understand them? These Divine Lights’ different frequencies and brightness all represent different information. I can’t make out their changes at all—who knows what they’re saying."

Anthony hurriedly winked at him. After a while he finally reacted and quickly shared Ange’s vision.

Only then did Anthony breathe a sigh of relief: You can’t see it, and you don’t think to ask the Lord for help? I actually have to prompt you.

Using Ange’s vision, Negris watched for a while, then translated, "He’s saying: ’By order of the branch-route Lord, low-level God Stars will make a small sacrifice, donate their power, and strengthen other God Stars to resist the Exotic Ghosts.’"

After translating, Negris froze instead: "What does he mean by that? Is he going to swallow Morania?"
