Chapter 2066: Chapter 1627: Find Another God Star to Slay
Under Negris’s watchful eyes, Ursman conjured up an Energy State Apocalypse Array of over ten meters in size with his hands. Seeing this, Negris breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness, although it’s complex, it’s acceptable when it’s this small. If it had truly depicted that kind of gigantic World-Ending Magic Formation in its original form, Negris would probably have his eyes popped out.
After crafting the array, Ursman floated himself in the void, transformed into a shadow, and then loaded himself into the mouth of the array.
Negris was startled and quickly asked, "What are you doing? Are you going to blast yourself?"
Ursman didn’t respond to him but quietly adjusted the direction of the array, aiming at the very center of the God Star.
The World-Ending Magic Formation launched, and Ursman, transformed into shadow, instantly bombarded the center of the God Star, penetrating inside.
The God Star emitted a sharp scream and then ’bang’ with a shake; something internally exploded.
Negris took a deep breath and asked in shock, "Did you hit its Star Soul?"
No one responded. After shouting several times in the Soul Network, Ursman had no reaction until Ange reached out a hand and grabbed Wolfsman’s consciousness back, although his stacked pieces were shattered.
From inside his body, he pulled out a stacked piece and pressed Ursman’s consciousness into it. The severely impacted consciousness of Ursman slowly woke up.
Negris, both anxious and angry, shouted loudly, "Are you insane? Using yourself as the apocalypse storm?"
Ursman was still a bit dazed, slowly asking, "How was it, how was it, did I hit it?"
Negris replied irritably, "You should have hit it. So what if you did? You almost died."
Ursman dismissed it nonchalantly, "That’s because I’m too weak. If my stacked pieces were stronger, it would have been easy to destroy him. Not next time, next time I’ll use another stacked piece, not personally go in."
Negris said, "You should have done that just now, thankfully Ange pulled you back, you madman, claiming to be a Wise Man. Would a Wise Man act so recklessly?"
While Negris was complaining here, the hit God Star slowly began to boil.
Although it had been hacked into gullies before and spewed out hundreds of fire columns, the Star Flame of the God Star always remained stable. But at this moment, countless bubbles started bubbling up from the surface.
Bigger and more numerous, innumerable Star Flames scattered upon the bubbling’s rupture, just like the boiling of a stew over a big fire.
A complete God Star just like that became a crazy scatterer of its material, like a sand pile on the beach being washed by sea water.
One shot, using the World-Ending Magic Formation as a crossbow and ghost-stacks as arrows, one shot blasted away the Star Soul of the God Star.
The God Star, bereft of its Star Soul, could no longer maintain its form, unleashing its energy wildly into the void. As its body dispersed and mass loss continued, the God Star could not maintain the integrity of its gravitational structure and would eventually explode.
But that requires a period of dispersion; for now, it won’t explode.
Dalasso stood aghast, glancing at the disintegrating God Star and then at the distant Negris and Ursman, feeling shocked and bewildered. Is this it?
Dalasso did not kill a God Star as swiftly as now; he couldn’t even manage a proper God Star. Last time, the Star Soul he compensated to Ange was from a small, depleted God Star that he found, stubbornly grinding its opponent to death because it couldn’t run away or defeat him.
This time, he was bold enough to propose hunting God Stars due to the presence of so many guides and travelers. Unexpectedly, it succeeded, and so quickly; could it be an illusion?
But the dispersion of the God Star was no illusion; Dalasso sighed in relief. Whatever it was, the God Star had already begun dispersing. Dalasso shouted, "Everyone, let’s tear it apart, don’t let the increment go to waste."
Only now did everyone react, Negris was the first to shout, "Star Soul, Star Soul, bring the Star Soul to Ange."
Ange shook his head and flipped over a stacked piece, revealing a familiar shadow that was none other than the God Star dispersing before them.
When Ursman hit the opponent’s Star Soul earlier, he had already imprinted the Star Soul. Now, only the Divine Star Body is dispersing.
With the Star Soul in hand, the rest is just collecting increment. Everyone was very enthusiastic, all gathering around.
As shadows passed through, those Star Flames, not yet extinguished, transformed into Incremental Fog, absorbed by shadows in succession. Over and over again, the God Star shrunk circle by circle.
The God Star’s distress alert startled nearby God Stars, but they couldn’t arrive so quickly. Yet those God Stars that received the signal had all turned into blue points, blue-shift, clearly rushing here at high speed.
Arriving faster than the God Stars were the Star Sharp, with Star Descendants emerging from the void. When they saw shadows engulfing the God Star, they hesitated for a moment before hurrying to retreat, wasting no time.
Soon after, those stars initially appearing blue-shift suddenly flashed and then shifted to red.
"Redshift means going away; have they run away?" Negris asked in shock.
"Are we that frightening?" Ursman also asked in surprise.
Only Dalasso said matter-of-factly, "They flee at the sight of me alone. I can scare them away, let alone when we’re together. They’re not afraid of us but of the master. If they knew the master is here, they’d run even faster."
The whole void God Stars were immensely shocked, because the Star Descendants relayed the news that several Ghost Guides had arrived here. As the God Stars panicked and fled, their redshift light illuminated the whole void.
Before Negris and others could fully plunder this God Star, the entire void dimmed; all starlights vanished, those colorful lines disappeared. The void returned to its pitch-black stillness.
"Did they all run away?" Negris asked in shock, feeling that Ghost Tourers were such terrifying existences in the void, clearing everything away.
Undisturbed, everyone quietly devoured the God Star and then looked somewhat unsatisfied at the silent void.
The harvest was immense; everyone felt their two stacked pieces had doubled in strength, swelling from consciousness to form, spirits lifted. The craving for strength was overpowering, feeling like heading out to find a big fellow to fight.
The growth in power also brought some unexpected benefits; even Negris learned Shadow Suspension.
Strength growth is addictive; otherwise, there wouldn’t be so many workout enthusiasts. Now even Tyrone and Xisluo, who least liked fighting, were eager to find another God Star to kill.
Unfortunately, all the God Stars had fled or hidden away. Everyone exchanged glances: "Spread out and search!"
