Very few people can enjoy this privilege, allowing him to act so recklessly.

Take the previous Comprehensive Knight Combat Competition for example. Admittedly, Motan indeed went all out throughout, except for not using the highly likely identity-revealing [True Scale Against], he was definitely at full effort. And as his opponent, Showering Snow Sword also clearly did not hold back in the final stage of the battle, but this still does not mean that both of them reached their so-called limits.

The reason is simple. Whether it was Motan or Showering Snow Sword at that time, the starting point of that battle was still sparring and competition, and neither of these words involved using all possible means with intent to kill.

‘Exerting full power to defeat the opponent’ and ‘exerting full power to kill the opponent’ are actually two different concepts.

Why is Motan with a ‘Chaotic Neutral’ persona so fashionable, why can he always perfectly achieve his goal? The fundamental reason is still that he never considered anyone else’s feelings.

As for Motan, who is currently aligned as ‘Orderly Good’, it is exactly the opposite. He is always considering others’ feelings, he always leaves enough room in everything.

And this room left for others will become his own shackle, an intangible, difficult-to-detect but indeed existing shackle.

But now, in the face of someone standing in front of him, able to take over his identity, who knows how much they understand about him, and suspected of once aiding and abetting, nearly helping Buffy Marshall and his family escape guilt, the shackle that has always bound the current Motan has temporarily been removed.

So, at least in this moment, Motan can finally freely unleash his talents and flamboyantly display his skills!

This is something even he didn’t know.

If we were to switch him at this moment to a ‘Chaotic Neutral’ persona, this person would probably immediately say a high-fashion line like ‘even I don’t know how strong I am’.

Jiawen may not be powerful, but she is definitely not weak. Although she spent a lot of time as a casual player in the early game, after gaining the Talent [Sin of Betrayal] and joining someone’s camp, her strength increased tremendously at a visible speed. Plus, she almost plays 24 hours of game time every day. Her intensity may not match Showering Snow Sword, Double Leaf, and others, but if facing the ‘Mor’ during the Comprehensive Knight Combat Competition, it’s definitely not to say she lacks the strength for a fight.

You must know, the ‘Mor’ character is merely at the tail end of the strength ranking, while Jiawen, though not in the strength ranking, has always held steady in the top 20 of the Comprehensive Strength Ranking, and both her equipment and skills are top-notch.

However—

Jiawen casually sprinkled a pack of pale golden powder on her shoulder and simultaneously activated the skills [Charging Clip] and [Bullet Time Modified]. Her right index finger directly pulled the trigger of the [Shadow Spear], firing a seemingly slow but extremely penetrating ‘bullet chain whip’, which was clearly a ranged attack yet performed with the effect of a cold weapon, slicing down towards the man in front. Yet the opponent leisurely sidestepped it with enraging calm, and then her vision blurred, as the longsword, which was just in dagger form, grazed her back, losing nearly half her health points in a chilling sting.

[Focus Barrage]!

Jiawen stopped pulling the trigger, gritted her teeth and retreated, barely lifting her left arm heavily. The dozens of [Evil Shadow Bullets] that seemed caught in slow motion suddenly darted towards the opponent like piranhas smelling blood, and after covertly activating a [Firepower Beacon], the damage, critical hit chance, and critical damage of each bullet increased by a full 60 percent. If they all hit the target, they could almost instantly take away anyone below Epic Tier.

However, just as Jiawen let out a breath of relief and took out a bottle of expensive High-Potency Healing Potion to replenish health points, a snow-white phantom unexpectedly radiated from around the barrage-buried man, producing an earsplitting clanging sound. When she came to her senses, she found that the wall behind her was riddled with large cracks and bullet marks, and the expensive potion in her hand had exploded into shards.

She immediately understood what happened. Simply put, when the white phantom had brightened, the barrage that was about to tear the opponent’s body abruptly reversed direction and plowed a circle with a nearly two-meter radius centered on herself!

“Alright, it’s all messed up…”

Jiawen murmured with a bitter smile, took another bottle of Potion with pale golden aura from the bag, poured it into her mouth, removed the charging accessory that had lost effectiveness from the Shadow Spear, and reloaded it.

She knew very well that if it weren’t for the [Shadow Spear]’s trait that no generated or enchanted ammunition can harm the user, she would probably have been riddled with holes. While it may not mean she would directly die on the spot, it proved the opponent was not joking around.

However, since she had already said to hold out, Jiawen didn’t plan to surrender so easily, and in fact, she never intended to cooperate well with the opponent from the start.

Even if she gets taken out, it doesn’t matter, but if the boss finds out she betrayed him…

[It feels like even that thought shouldn’t arise.]

Jiawen took a deep breath, shook her somewhat muddled head slightly, took a deep breath again, and slowly raised her left hand, softly muttering a sentence—

“Hammer of Dawn.”

Boom!

In an instant, a warhammer wrapped in dazzling golden light descended from the sky, smashing straight towards Motan who was still walking leisurely like a stroll in the courtyard towards Jiawen.

Then it was shattered in the air by a Fierce Soldier, dark purple, emitting a black aura, extremely sinister in design.

Jiawen: “…”

“Hmm, it feels like it’s more comfortable to use, even though the proficiency hasn’t increased… Is it an illusion?”

The man not far away casually swung the fierce weapon that seemed imbued with Evil Qi and murmured with a frown, then horizontally swung it as if weightless. Every time it sliced through the air, it caused streams of wind pressure, apparently due to its sheer power alone sending his Physical Strength Value dropping like a floodgate, directly scattering a silver coin with golden strands flowing around it, a Solar Flame rising from the ground, and an ancient, somber riding spear.

Jiawen: “…”

Five seconds later

Jiawen sighed lightly, and to the man who had already walked before her, still maintaining a composed smile akin to uncomfortable winter sun, she lowered the [Shadow Spear]: “Alright, I admit I can’t do anything against you.”

Motan smiled, transformed the [Dawn Demon Polearm] back into the initial one-handed sword: “So, can we have an open and honest conversation now?”

“Not necessarily.”

Unexpectedly, Jiawen shook her head and shrugged: “Though I admit I can’t beat you, if it’s just about escaping…”

She didn’t continue, but seized the time to recover Physical Strength Value, meaningfully looking at Motan.

Motan only chuckled gracefully, saying liberally: “You can try.”

“Alright.”

Jiawen nodded, then without hesitation brushed past Motan, striding briskly towards the alley’s exit, and a minute later returned, bitterly smiling, with her hands raised.

Standing behind Jiawen, the beast-ear girl glanced with her pretty blood-red eyes at Motan, slightly furrowing her brows…

“This is what you meant by a possibly troublesome person earlier? I almost slapped her to death just now.”
