Four Split Personalities
Chapter 2932: Just a Mission
“Don’t underestimate me~”
Motan smiled at Ya Ya, then spoke lightly after Jiawen was coerced back in front of him: “As an enemy, I believe this friend will be very hard to deal with. He will cooperate after you make your move, but it’s just a temporary measure after weighing the situation.”
Ya Ya narrowed her eyes dangerously and bared her teeth at Motan: “You’re saying this silly person can easily handle me if he gets serious?”
“I’m just worried you might get hurt due to carelessness.”
Motan didn’t deny Ya Ya’s words, instead offering a diplomatic answer.
“Hmm, at least you care about me.”
However, Ya Ya found it quite pleasing and nodded, then weighed the two fierce soldiers in her hands – [Violent One] and [Flesh Cleaver] – frowning: “But since it’s such a tricky thing, why not just get rid of him?”
Motan shrugged, first blinking at the helpless Jiawen, then gently explained to Ya Ya: “Firstly, it’s because this unknown gentleman holds some information that I’m quite interested in. Secondly, although he’s a difficult enemy to handle, the so-called ‘stance’ can change depending on the situation.”
“Too complicated, make it simpler!”
Ya Ya impatiently made a ‘woo woo’ threatening noise.
“Simply put, if problems can be solved through dialogue and negotiation, I’m personally not fond of using violence.”
Motan ran his fingertip slowly along the blade of [Dawn], speaking softly: “Though I suddenly realized my talent in violence seems to be quite high.”
Jiawen chuckled dryly and forced a smile: “You’re being modest.”
“Alright, whatever you say.”
Ya Ya yawned, walked over to Motan and naturally nuzzled his cheek, then wagged her tail and walked back towards the alley entrance: “So long as I block the way and let no one through but you, right?”
Motan smiled indulgently and nodded: “That’s right, thank you for your hard work.”
“I’m just keeping busy while idle.”
Ya Ya snorted lightly, turned her head to glare at Motan: “It’s not like I want to help you.”
Then she strolled away.
…
After a brief silence,
“Tsundere-type Quan Niang NPC?”
Jiawen raised an eyebrow, suddenly grinned mischievously: “Plus Miss Yege, that beauty who’s hard to resist, Brother Silent really is lucky.”
As Ya Ya disappeared from perception, Motan’s expression suddenly turned grim, his presence growing several times stronger, and he silently smiled, speaking lightly: “You misunderstand.”
Jiawen laughed even more joyfully: “Whether I misunderstand or not… oof!”
A black-gold-colored long staff, etched with jade dragon patterns, suddenly struck her abdomen and slammed her against the wall, causing Jiawen to spit a mouthful of blood from the unexpected impact.
“Whether you misunderstand or not, it has nothing to do with the topic we’re discussing now.”
Holding the [Xiao Longyuan Stick], Motan said flatly, casually shattering the protection on Jiawen’s right arm into a [fracture] state, and only continued once the [Shadow Spear] dissolved into black sparkles: “Apologies, this may have been slightly rough, but as time is short and I have many things to confirm, I can only use this method to set a baseline for our upcoming exchanges.”
Sitting slumped on the ground, Jiawen glanced helplessly at her right arm, twisted at a very awkward 90-degree reverse angle, and chuckled bitterly: “I have to say, this is quite a strong baseline.”
“Can we continue with our previous topic now?”
Motan walked leisurely to Jiawen, crouched down, and smiled at her: “Or do you want to continue struggling?”
She blinked: “Do you still have enough patience?”
“I have some left, for now.”
Motan nodded honestly, then added: “But not much.”
“Very well.”
Upon hearing this, Jiawen immediately, as if by magic, pulled out three dice and tossed them on the ground. As they showed [18 big], she vanished from the spot, followed by a deafening explosion from afar. A few minutes later, Ya Ya, who had just left, returned with Jiawen, now resembling a pile of mud, tossed at Motan’s feet.
It’s worth mentioning that at this moment, Jiawen looked identical to the character ‘Silent’, except her armor was almost shattered, while the real one’s equipment remained intact, making any difference difficult for ordinary people to notice.
Unfortunately, Ya Ya was no ordinary person—
“This guy turned into your likeness to try and leave.”
Ya Ya kicked the body that had taken a direct hit from the [Giant Smasher] (Ateer Split Blade·Flesh Cleaver + Ateer Split Blade·Violent One), now barely alive, and proudly twitched her ears at Motan: “Wang smelled it immediately; she doesn’t carry your scent. It’s a woman’s scent.”
Under the girl’s little boots, Jiawen appropriately spewed blood.
“Thank you~”
Motan nodded, then quickly added before Ya Ya could interrupt: “Whether because you were idle or because you wanted to help me.”
