No!

No!

No no no no no!!!

If it’s really what I thought before, that this task assigned to me alone by the boss is actually a kind of test, that would be a bit too anticlimactic!

Indeed, I did feel a bit of frustration and lesson, and I have been continuously reflecting along the way, but in that person’s eyes, the cost of such a degree is probably like child’s play. After all, the fact that I could pass so easily fundamentally indicates a huge problem and contradiction.

Someone who had long been aware of my existence and laid such meticulous preparations, would they really be so easily persuaded?

Clearly, they took great pains to catch me, clearly they already learned the specific ability effects of [Thousand Faces], knowing well that once I escape their control, there would basically be no possibility of capture again, would they really let me go so easily?

Someone who previously set up countless layers quietly finishing a lot of preparation work right under my nose without leaving a single clue, a person whose psychological qualities are practically insane, would they really be satisfied with intelligence of this degree?

Someone who caught the boss’s attention and is highly likely to be regarded as a key focus, would they really remain indifferent after I gained so much intelligence, not probing thoroughly to ensure there are no future worries?

At the moment of realizing this series of issues, Jiawen was less than twenty meters away from ’Sin Knight’s’ place in Academy City, which is the Glaze Pavilion on the east side of the Central District.

And once entering that place, it would mean she would have no room to maneuver!

[Now this is a big problem...]

Jiawen sighed inwardly with relief at her timely reaction, but lamented that dodging this calamity today seemed somewhat difficult, then walked straight past the pedestrian path opposite Glaze Pavilion without even a glance.

At this moment, she could almost be one hundred percent sure that, not only was she not safe now, but was instead in some kind of extremely dangerous situation, the most deadly aspect being that she didn’t know exactly in what form the other party had her under control.

The most troubling thing was that she wasn’t even sure if the other party was really doing something right now!

Of course, there is a way to confirm, but it is exceptionally troublesome, however, under the current situation, there may be no other way...

Jiawen narrowed her eyes slightly and continued walking leisurely down the street, and when she turned the next corner, her appearance and figure changed dramatically. Regardless of gender, race, appearance, or attire, everything was completely random, except for the detail that they all looked somewhat similar to NPCs, there was no pattern to find.

Given her perfect timing when changing her appearance each time, although there were many pedestrians on the street, no one noticed this person who changed identities nearly ten times within just a few hundred meters.

Moreover, every time Jiawen completed a look update, she naturally integrated into the pedestrians, and when she left the crowd, many details on her would undergo significant changes, including but not limited to skin color, height, hair volume, eye color, clothing colors, and facial contours. Although these changes were updated slightly during her movements, hardly arousing any suspicion from surrounding pedestrians, if someone didn’t keep an eye on her the entire time, the difference from when she joined the crowd to when she left would be so big it would be hard to imagine her as the same person.

In short, Jiawen strolled along a certain path in the Central District for about ten minutes before casually walking into a restaurant named [Telaya] with an elf-themed style. After ordering a mild-tasting dessert, she found a corner and sat down, and at this moment her appearance was that of a half elf girl, of petite stature and ordinary looks.

A moment later, Jiawen smiled and thanked the server who brought her dessert, then yawned lazily, leaning back on her seat, closing her eyes to listen to the soothing rhythm of the music in the Sound Recording Crystal, her expression looking very content.

The deep red student uniform on her body merged perfectly with the burgundy seat, and the matcha dessert on a light green plate blended slightly with the vine-woven table. Although sitting right by the window, there happened to be a large land dragon vehicle parked outside, and at the neighboring table, there was a young couple who looked like they were discussing the issue of school starting on September 1st. Based on the conversation, it seemed likely they were a deeply affectionate childhood sweethearts couple who didn’t get into the same university.

Since it was not meal time and the couple next to her already had their table full of food, it was highly unlikely that servers would frequently appear in this corner. This way, while seemingly sitting in plain view, Jiawen actually created a vacuum zone centered around herself as far as NPCs were concerned.

The land dragon vehicle parked very close, although it couldn’t block the sun, it was enough to shield the gazes of passersby, her clothing color and the dessert in front of her both naturally camouflaged with the environment. From a distance, it was easy to overlook her, and although the couple nearby occasionally glanced over, since they were players, it didn’t matter how much they looked.
