Four Split Personalities
Chapter 2937 - 1393: Verification_2
Just like that, Jiawen casually poked a small piece of dessert into her mouth, gently swaying her head to the rhythm of the music, contentedly closing her eyes, and in an instant, chose to log out.
...
A moment later
"Today really is unlucky..."
Pushing open the game cabin from inside, Bai Fu Jin sighed softly, elegantly stood up, casually picked up the nearby low table’s cup that possessed a constant temperature function, highly technical content, and extremely expensive price, sipped the red tea that Ah Qing had brewed for him before leaving, leisurely left the bedroom, glanced down at the first-floor foyer from the railing, and then walked back.
Ah Qing’s shoes and handbag weren’t there, clearly still out at social engagements on his behalf and hadn’t returned.
This was expected, after all, even though the counterpart wasn’t particularly difficult to deal with, it wasn’t realistic for Ah Qing to complete negotiations and manage aftermath measures before midnight, given her abilities.
"Today really is unlucky..."
Facing the mirror and seeing the woman dressed in a gauze-like white nightgown, with a lazy demeanor and a dignified appearance, as if walking out from a painting, Bai Fu Jin slightly smiled, repeated the same words softly, then took off his shoes, lay back into the game cabin, and decisively restarted [The Realm of Innocence].
Mind you, the ratio of real-time to game time is 1:2. The actual testing time isn’t much, so despite having to maintain elegance, every second counts.
Thus, Bai Fu Jin transformed back into Jiawen and entered the game.

[Welcome back, chaotic evil Jiawen, preparing to load The Realm of Innocence, wishing you good night]
Game time AM08:24, Academy City Central District, [Tleyya] light meal, Jiawen logged back into the game after six minutes and nineteen seconds offline.
The song reverberating in the air has already changed. If she remembers correctly, it should be from a famous music master of the Griffin Empire who was active two centuries ago, around Holy Calendar 9350, also a Duchess. Floriel Red Branch composed this timeless masterpiece in collaboration with the renowned songstress Colis Clotilde of the same era, titled [Phantas-Magoria] in Elf Language and [Fantasy Song] in Universal Language. Even two centuries later, it remains highly popular.
However, it is worth mentioning that although [Fantasy Song] possesses a dominating status in the realm of music within The Realm of Innocence, for some reason, the original version of the song, Clotilde’s rendition, has not been passed down. Even the version currently playing in the store is merely one of the popular cover versions.
"Loka·R·Lindford."
Immediately identifying the performer, Jiawen contentedly squinted her eyes and murmured softly: "Her only non-original song with a celestial voice, haha, if there’s a chance, I’d truly like to hear the legendary songstress herself sing it~"
After expressing this sentiment, she deftly stood up, casually tossed the fork she had been holding since logging in onto the table, and walked briskly towards the store’s exit.
The proof had ended.
As expected earlier, she truly couldn’t escape the surveillance of the other party.
Bathed in soft sunlight, Jiawen sighed with a hint of helplessness but didn’t show much frustration, merely stood at the store entrance and lazily stretched her body, taking approximately three seconds to consolidate information.
She remained under the other’s surveillance.
Most likely, quite a few NPCs make up the agent overseeing this.
The person monitoring her was either an NPC or some kind of device controlled by NPC, whose sole purpose was to prevent ’Jiawen’ from disappearing offline from The Realm of Innocence.
In conjunction with the initial encounter with Cole Shuren, it’s likely the Law Enforcement Force also had setups by the other party.
Theoretically, those targeting her included at least one Half Dragon Knight Mor, but it’s possible that the Black Vatican Priest she acted as today and the gentleman named Tan Mo-as mentioned by Cole-were also involved.
Based on the structure of the current Law Enforcement Force in Academy City, there’s over an eighty percent chance that Foster Ward sanctioned the capture operation and possibly provided assistance, not ruling out targeting her wholeheartedly.
At least three more hours of real time remain before Ah Qing’s return, though she had sent him a message when she logged off, the possibility of taking the initiative with fellow player cooperators hasn’t been ruled out, not to mention that six hours of game time is exceedingly lengthy, thus this unstable ’card’ cannot be incorporated into subsequent plans.
The reconnaissance feedback indicated the NPC watching her should be at least two hundred meters away.
Taking into account reasons pertaining to stereoscopic vision, to ensure control over her, the counterpart must’ve been on a building with a height not less than twenty meters and a wide field of vision, equivalently impeding agility in movement.
Furthermore, since the observer must be an NPC, no matter how optimized their arrangements, there would inevitably be a player alongside them as a message relay.
Their purpose should be verifying the prior lie’s veracity, namely whether she was simply a player hustling for task chains. If she started camouflaging again from scratch...impossible, her actions were absolutely clear. As long as they’re not fools, the earlier irregular offline probably stirred suspicion.
This was inevitable...
Ultimately, my release was never a possibility; even sans clear suspicion about my justifications, which were objectively unquestionable, they’ll likely apply secondary verification.
No regrets are necessary; this outcome was destined from the moment I joined that alley with Silent Brother.
This concludes the analysis of information collected thus far.
Jiawen lightly exhaled, discreetly rolled her eyes, and then pulled out the Whisper Scripture she upgraded from [Whisper Pages] during her mischief in the Violet Empire, now elevated two full tiers in quality, ascending from [Trash] to [Common] equipment—
...
[Whisper Scripture]
Quality: Common-Growable
Category: Special
Equipment Requirements: Believer of God of Lies Ithanal
Attributes: All combat attributes +5%
Trait:
[Conversion]: Generates 30 pages of quality-fixed [Trash] [Whisper Pages], cooldown 720 hours game time, during which cannot be used normally.
[Catalysis]: Resets cooldown time of [Holy Water Starlight Bottle] in backpack, cooldown 720 hours game time, during which cannot be used normally.
[Gospel]: Your next lie has a certain probability of becoming true, specific value proportional to the commonality of the lie, cooldown 72 hours game time, unsuccessful activation only incurs 1/10 of the cooldown time, during which cannot be used normally.
[Note: At least I won’t lie in this scripture.]
[Note2: Even if I lied, you could still take it truthfully.]
...
"Within the next twelve hours, I can feel a gaze cast from afar."
Without any frills, not even any unnecessary embellishments, Jiawen, upon touching the scripture, whispered this line and activated the trait [Gospel].
Soon after, she felt a slight burning sensation continuously emanating from her body, and a buff named [Borderless Perception] with a remaining time of 11 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds appeared in her status bar.
Clearly, the [Gospel] trait took effect. Despite that feeling being rather discomforting, it still counted as good news.
"If I don’t mess up this time, I swear..."
Casually hanging the now functionless scripture back at her waist, Jiawen shook her head, smiled wryly and moved forward—
"I’ll never randomly raise flags again."
