Chapter 725: Enough Playing Around
The largest one... the alpha... stayed at the rear.
It was bigger than the others by half, its fur matted with old scars, its eyes colder and more calculating. It did not blindly charge. Instead, it watched with it’s head low, assessing the strange scene in front of it.
"Sol... shadow wolves!" Zeyra hissed in a urgent whisper, her hands instinctively reaching for her hunting spear, which was stuck upright in the mud three paces away. Her thighs clamped tightly around his hips as her body tensed in alarm.
"I can see them," Sol drawled lazily, his rhythm barely slowing down.
While Zeyra was on high alert, Sol didn’t show a single sliver of concern. His crimson eyes flicked casually over the ten beasts, his expression unbothered, as if he were looking at a pack of mangy stray dogs rather than a lethal hunting horde. He didn’t even bother pulling out of her pussy.
Sol reached out with one hand, still holding Zeyra securely with the other arm and the strength of his core, and snapped a thick branch from a nearby ironwood sapling.
The stick was rough, dry, and entirely mundane... the kind of scrap wood a child might use to poke at an ant hill.
He gave it a short experimental swing while continuing to thrust up into Zeyra in short, controlled motions. The wet sound of their bodies never fully stopped.
Seeing the two humans tangled together... one suspended off the ground and the other holding a pathetic wooden stick... the Shadow-Wolf pack misread the situation entirely.
To their primitive, predatory instincts, these two-legged creatures were distracted, immobile, and utterly vulnerable.
The Alpha snared, its tail flicking in a cold, calculating gesture. It was a cunning beast; instead of diving in blindly, it uttered a raspy bark, ordering two of its frontline vanguards to test the waters.
RUFF!
Two of the younger wolves launched forward at the alpha’s low, guttural signal. Their muscular hind legs exploded against the moss, launching their five-hundred-pound bodies into the air.
They flew toward Sol from opposite flanks, their jaws stretched wide, black saliva dripping from their razor-sharp fangs as they aimed straight for his exposed neck and chest!
Zeyra gasped, her fingers digging into Sol’s back as she prepared to channel her spirit essence to deflect the strike.
"Stay still," Sol murmured smoothly.
Without even stopping the slow, deliberate grind of his hips into Zeyra’s core, Sol casually flicked his wrist.
WHACK! WHACK!
The mundane ironwood stick moved like a streak of invisible lightning, carrying the terrifying, ungodly physical weight of his sun core.
The first blow struck the left wolf square in the skull mid-air. The wooden branch didn’t break; instead, the absolute density behind the strike shattered the wolf’s head like a dry gourd!
Brain matter, black blood, and bone fragments exploded outward in a violent spray as the beast’s body was instantly crushed into a mangled, lifeless lump of meat that crashed into the mud.
Before the second wolf could even realize its partner had been vaporized, Sol’s backhand stroke caught it flush under the jaw.
CRACK!
The impact snapped the beast’s spine in three places, caving its chest in completely. The second shadow-wolf was swatted out of the air like an annoying fly, tumbling end over end across the clearing before slamming into a distant boulders with a sickening, wet thud, dead before it hit the ground.
The entire exchange had taken less than two heartbeats.
Not caring about the deaths of wolves, "Sol... put me down!" Zeyra panted, her voice trembling as she squirmed against his chest. "Let me stand so we can finish the rest of them properly! The Alpha is watching!"
"Put you down?" Sol scoffed, his hands clamping harder onto the firm, round meat of her buttocks. He pulled her forward and drove upward with a sudden, vicious thrust that buried him all the way to the balls, hitting her sensitive sweet spot with brutal precision.
"AHNN!" Zeyra shrieked, her head snapping back as her toes curled in sheer ecstasy, her grip on his shoulders tightening so hard her knuckles turned white.
"Not a chance, woman," Sol smirked, his breath hot against her ear as he resumed his heavy, rhythmic strokes. "You think eight overgrown dogs are worth interrupting my fun? Keep your legs locked where they are."
Across the clearing, the remaining eight shadow-wolves stood frozen in horror.
The Alpha’s red-tinged eyes narrowed into thin, intelligent slits.
It looked at the two ruined corpses of its strongest vanguard, then looked at the human male who was still casually plowing the female, holding that stupid wooden stick in his right hand.
Instead of flying into a mindless rage, the Alpha proved why it was the leader of the pack. It let out a low, warning growl, signaling the remaining six wolves to circle outward.
It wasn’t retreating, nor was it attacking blindly; it was deliberately pacing back and forth, using its packmates to probe for a blind spot, waiting for the human male to overcommit or show a split second of fatigue.
Sol watched the Alpha’s clever tactical maneuvering with a dry, deadpan expression, his hips never once pausing their steady, punishing drive into Zeyra’s body.
Then, mid-stroke, a sudden thought struck Sol’s mind.
Wait a minute...
Sol stared at the ironwood branch in his hand, then looked at the cunning Alpha pacing in the brush, and mentally slapped himself across the face.
Why the hell am I standing here swinging a wooden stick like some primitive caveman? Sol thought, feeling an overwhelming surge of self-mockery. I have my cheat abilities. I have my Free Use domain and spiritual manipulation. I can literally rewrite the consciousness of lower-tier entities with a thought, and here I am trying to play swordsman with a tree branch while holding my woman?
He truly felt like facepalming at his own muscle-brained habit of relying on raw physical violence. Ancients were really right, women are really the deaths of warriors. I should really work hard in the future to fuck all kind of women to be immune to this danger.
He let the branch drop to the ground.
"Alright," Sol muttered under his breath, a cold, wicked glint flashing in his neon-crimson eyes. "Enough playing around."
