FREE USE in Primitive World
Chapter 726: How Did You Do That?
Instead of swinging the stick again, Sol simply closed his eyes for a fraction of a second, releasing a tiny, microscopic wisp of his Free Use power outward into the clearing.
It was not a technique that required gestures or shouted commands. It simply sank into the nearest living minds and took root.
An invisible, subterranean wave of absolute, terrifying spiritual dominance expanded from his body like a silent shockwave.
It didn’t carry physical force, nor did it kick up dust, but the moment it washed over the remaining shadow-wolves, the world stopped turning for them.
The six circling wolves instantly froze in their tracks.
Their snarls died in their throats. Their glowing eyes lost every shred of intelligence and ferocity, instantly turning blank, glassy, and utterly hollow.
Their minds, raw and primitive, were completely hijacked, overwhelmed, and rewritten by Sol’s absolute will in less time than it took for a heart to beat.
Sol didn’t even look at them. He just kept thrusting rhythmically into Zeyra, his mind casually issuing silent, absolute commands through his domain.
Die.
What followed was a grotesque, macabre spectacle of dramatic suicide that defied every law of nature.
The first shadow-wolf suddenly lowered its head, dug its back claws into the dirt, and sprinted full-speed toward a massive, ironwood trunk. It didn’t brace itself; it accelerated until it was a black blur, slamming its skull directly into the solid wood!
BANG!
The impact caved its head in like an eggshell, splattering grey matter across the bark before its limp body collapsed into the moss.
Before Zeyra could even process what she was seeing, the second wolf turned around, opened its jaws wide, and forcefully jammed its own neck onto a sharp, broken branch jutting out from a nearby thicket.
It pushed forward with terrifying, mechanical force, impaling its own windpipe and thrashing wildly until its lifeblood drained into the dirt!
CRACK! SNAP!
The third and fourth wolves turned toward each other. Without a single growl or hesitation, they lunged forward and clamped their jaws onto each other’s throats, tearing wildly into sinew and arteries until both beasts strangled in their own blood, collapsing in a tangled, writhing heap!
The fifth and sixth wolves simply locked their own jaws around their forelegs, twisting their necks with violent, unnatural jerks until their spines snapped with a series of loud, sickening CRACKS, flopping onto the ground like ragdolls!
Within five seconds, six elite shadow-wolves had executed themselves in the most bizarre, gruesome ways imaginable, leaving the forest floor soaked in black blood and littered with broken bodies.
The Alpha stood completely alone.
The massive beast’s intelligence, which had served it so well in hunting, became its ultimate curse. It stared at its six packmates... who had just violently butchered themselves without the human even lifting a finger... and every biological instinct inside its body screamed in absolute, hysterical terror!
This wasn’t a prey. This wasn’t even a human warrior. This was an anomaly, a walking nightmare that defied the natural order!
The Alpha finally understood that it had made a catastrophic mistake.
With it’s tail tucked between its legs, its spine pikes flattening in total submission. It turned around in a panic, kicking up dirt as it desperately tried to bolt into the dense underbrush to save its life.
Sol, who was driving into Zeyra’s body in slow, deep upward strokes, didn’t even turn his head. He merely let out a low, disdainful snort.
"I gave you an opportunity to walk away earlier, but you wanted to stay and find a chance to kill us," Sol muttered, his voice was quiet, almost conversational, as he continued to fuck Zeyra, "Now that you’ve seen enough, you want to run?" his rough voice echoing coldly through the grove.
FREEZE.
Sol’s spiritual grip slammed down onto the Alpha’s mind before it could take a second step.
The massive Alpha froze mid-bound, its front paws locked in the air as its body trembled violently under the sudden absolute compulsion and was violently brought to a dead halt, then turned back against every natural instinct it possessed.
Its glowing red eyes bulged in utter horror as its own limbs ceased to obey its brain, moving under the absolute, puppeteering force of the human’s will.
Ten paces away lay the skeletal, decaying carcass of a large antlered beast that had died winters ago... its thick, razor-sharp bone-horns sticking straight up out of the mud like broken white spears.
Under Sol’s silent command, the Alpha moved, its eyes wide with helpless, screaming terror. Its legs bent, its muscles strained, and with a sudden, violent burst, the Alpha forced itself to leap high into the air... higher than any natural jump!
It positioned its body directly over the skeleton and allowed gravity to pull it down!
SKEWER!
A thick, two-foot-long bone horn drove straight through the Alpha’s stomach, bursting out through its spine in a fountain of hot, black blood! The massive beast let out a final, strangled whine, its legs twitching weakly as it hung impaled on the skeleton, its life draining into the mud until it went completely still.
Silence returned to the clearing, broken only by the wet sounds of Sol still moving inside Zeyra and the slow drip of blood onto leaves.
The air was thick with the heavy metallic tang of blood and the acrid stench of shadow-beast essence. Ten apex predators lay dead in a wide circle around the tree... two pulverized by a stick, six self-mutilated, and the Alpha impaled on a bone horn.
Neither Sol nor Zeyra possessed a fragile stomach. So neither of them looked particularly disturbed by the gore.
In this savage, uncompromising reality of the Great Orrath, where blood, guts, and violent death were everyday scenery, the gruesome sight didn’t disturb them in the slightest.
They had both seen far worse on battlefields and in the deeper sectors of the Orrath.
Zeyra did, however, raise an eyebrow at him while still breathing hard against his neck, her body still trembling faintly from the interrupted pleasure and the sudden violence.
"How... how did you do that?" Zeyra panted, her voice confused as her breath brushed against his jaw. She had seen something similar in the battlefield before, and was just as confused. "They... they killed themselves. They impaled their own bodies."
