Chapter 527: Great Secret! Entering the Ancestral Dragon Pool

The Dragon Domain Sovereign’s eyes were filled with pride. The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons certainly had a right to be proud!

They were born at the World Realm and with an innate mastery of the three profundities of the Space Law. Moreover, it was a hundred times easier for them to refine Primordial Dragon Essence Blood than it was for other races!

And the more they refined, the lower the difficulty of breaking through their bottlenecks would become!

Li Yang was completely shocked to hear this.

’The difficulty of breaking through to the Sovereign Realm is lowered?’

In the entire Cosmos, he had heard of treasures that could help one break through to the level of Deities, but he had never heard of anything that could help one reach the Emperor realm, let alone the Sovereign Realm!

After all, if a race had even one Sovereign, it could barely establish a foothold among the countless other races. This just went to show how terrifying a powerhouse of that level truly was!

And now, he was hearing from the Dragon Domain Sovereign that refining more Primordial Dragon Essence Blood could help one break through to the Sovereign Realm?

Seeing the shock in Li Yang’s eyes, the Dragon Domain Sovereign said, "There’s no need to be surprised, Kong Yu. Do you have any idea what life level the Ancestral Dragon was at? It was a born Creator Ancestor. How high do you think its life level was? By integrating more of its essence blood, it’s only natural that one can break through to higher realms more easily!"

In the outside world, it was widely believed that the Ancestral Dragon was a born Sovereign, but according to the Dragon Domain Sovereign, the Ancestral Dragon was actually a born Creator Ancestor.

"However, this secret is known only to my Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon race and a handful of others. Even the Human Race and Demon Race are likely unaware," the Dragon Domain Sovereign said with a smile.

"Of course, it would be useless even if they did know. The Primordial Dragon Essence Blood is most effective for races like us, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons, as it helps us break through. As for the Human Race, the Demon Race, and others—even if they absorbed vast amounts, it would have little effect. Their bloodlines are simply incompatible."

As descendants of the Ancestral Dragon, they possessed a trace of its bloodline, making it easier for them to absorb and refine the Primordial Dragon Essence Blood. They had researched the matter extensively and uncovered certain things.

This information was a top secret within their race. If the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, weren’t such a monstrous genius of their people, the Sovereign would never have revealed it.

Li Yang was clearly stunned. In just a short time, he had received a flood of new information.

’Primordial Dragon Essence Blood has completely different effects on different races. It’s most beneficial for those with the Ancestral Dragon’s bloodline, like the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons. It can even make it easier to break through to new realms...’

These were secrets Li Yang had known nothing about until now.

However, amidst his surprise, Li Yang also felt a surge of joy.

’I am a Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon right now!’

’My main body and my various avatars are all one. If my Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar absorbs a large amount of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood and lowers the difficulty of breaking through, then when this avatar breaks through in the future, my main body and all my other avatars will break through at the same time!’

Li Yang thought excitedly.

It didn’t matter if it was his main body or an avatar—as long as one of them broke through, all the others would follow suit.

If the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon’s path to the Sovereign Realm became easier, it meant the path would become easier for his main body and other avatars as well.

The joy on Li Yang’s face was impossible to hide.

The Dragon Domain Sovereign wasn’t surprised by this in the least. No one who learned about the Ancestral Dragon Pool wouldn’t be overjoyed.

"Alright, Kong Yu. From now on, as long as you can continue to refine it, you may absorb energy from the Ancestral Dragon Pool for as long as you wish," the Dragon Domain Sovereign said with a smile.

When it came to entering the Ancestral Dragon Pool, they didn’t care about the duration. They only cared about one’s ability to absorb the energy.

If someone could absorb it continuously, they would be thrilled to have them stay in the Ancestral Dragon Pool indefinitely.

"In addition, the race’s ancestral grounds will be opened to you. You may enter for a period of four months within the next year!"

"Four months?" Li Yang’s heart leaped with joy again.

That was one month longer than what the Thunder Star Beast race had offered.

"The time can be accumulated, so don’t be in a hurry to use it, Kong Yu. For now, you can try entering the Ancestral Dragon Pool and see how much energy you can absorb," the Dragon Domain Sovereign said with a laugh.

He clearly held Li Yang in high regard.

As the proud Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon race, they were well aware that several monstrous geniuses had recently appeared across the Cosmos. Among them, the genius of the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons was destined to become the strongest.

"Yes!" Li Yang nodded in response to the Dragon Domain Sovereign’s words.

A look of anticipation gleamed in his eyes.

’My main body could refine one and a half drops of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood. Now, as a Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar, and in this Ancestral Dragon Pool where absorption is even easier, I wonder how much I’ll be able to absorb?’

Li Yang, in his Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon form, was filled with anticipation.

Without hesitation, he leaped directly into the blood-red pool before him.

The moment he entered the pool, Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon body was enveloped in energy. Some of this energy carried an immense pressure, and a faint, bloody scent wafted from it.

’This pressure is incredible. There must be more than one drop of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood in this Ancestral Dragon Pool.’

His main body still had one and a half drops of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood left, so he was naturally familiar with its properties.

’Absorb!’

Pushing his various thoughts aside, Li Yang immediately began to absorb the energy.

As soon as he tried, he felt streams of energy flowing into his body.

’It works! I can really absorb it!’ Li Yang was overjoyed.

’That makes sense. My main body cultivated the technique from the Mysterious Small Sword Skill, and so did this Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar. There’s no reason it wouldn’t be able to absorb it.’

Previously, Li Yang’s main body had been able to absorb an amount of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood that surpassed even most Emperors. He had deduced that this was due to some effect the Mysterious Small Sword Skill had on his physical body.

’If that’s true for my main body, it should be the same for my Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar!’

Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar rejoiced. ’And it’s absorbing even faster! The speed is about thirty percent quicker!’

’The ability to absorb the Ancestral Dragon’s blood comes from the Mysterious Small Sword’s Inner Power Skill. The fact that my absorption speed is so much faster than my main body’s must be due to the bloodline connection between the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon and the Ancestral Dragon.’

The many thoughts racing through his mind were quickly reigned in by Li Yang.

’Absorb!’

Thinking no more, Li Yang began to absorb with all his might!

...

Outside the blood-red pool, the Dragon Domain Sovereign watched.

’I wonder how much energy Kong Yu can refine?’ His eyes were clearly filled with anticipation.

Absorbing Primordial Dragon Essence Blood resulted in a massive increase in strength. Even for an Emperor, a perfect absorption could boost their power tenfold!

A tenfold power boost for an Emperor—what did that even mean? It was precisely why they valued the Ancestral Dragon Pool so highly.

Moreover, according to their research, that tenfold increase was likely not even the upper limit.

However, one could never know just how much any given genius could absorb without putting them to the test.

As his race’s monstrous genius, Kong Yu was certain to become one of their top-tier powerhouses once he fully matured!

If he could absorb a large amount of energy from the Ancestral Dragon Pool, his strength would become even more terrifying! The benefits this would bring to their race were self-evident.

’We’ll just have to wait and see.’ The Dragon Domain Sovereign thought to himself. It was impossible to tell how much energy could be absorbed in a short period.

Many geniuses in their race, even those who could absorb a great deal of the Primordial Dragon Essence Blood’s energy, took a very long time to reach their limit during their first absorption—at least ten years or more.
