Chapter 529: Another 2.5 Years Pass

“Lord Master.” The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, spoke immediately upon seeing the Dragon Domain Master.

“Kong Yu.”

The Dragon Domain Master looked at the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, and asked directly, “How goes your energy absorption? And what state has your physical body reached?”

Li Yang had demonstrated his power before, so the Dragon Domain Master had a clear understanding of his capabilities. Therefore, he only needed to gauge Li Yang’s current strength to easily determine exactly how much Primordial Dragon Essence Blood energy he had absorbed.

‘How much did I absorb?’

Hearing the Dragon Domain Master’s question, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, answered respectfully, “Lord Master, I’m not sure of the exact amount, but I’ve absorbed a great deal. My physical body should now be approaching the level of a Dual Pantheon Deity.”

BOOM!

As he spoke, an immensely powerful aura erupted from the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang.

That’s right. In just one short year, the power of Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar had undergone a complete transformation!

By absorbing only the energy from the Primordial Dragon Essence Blood, without relying on any other power source, he had nearly reached the level of a Dual Pantheon Deity!

“A Dual Pantheon Deity!”

Sensing this aura, an astonishing light flashed in the Dragon Domain Master’s eyes!

“Excellent!!!”

Reaching this level proved that the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, had completely absorbed the energy of an entire drop of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood in just one year!

‘And what realm is the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, in? The World Realm! He’s not even a Deity yet, but refining the Primordial Dragon Essence Blood is this easy for him!’

Nearby, Emperor Hengmo had guessed as much, but actually hearing Li Yang’s confirmation still brought a look of astonishment to his eyes.

‘One year to absorb the energy of a single drop of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood… This Kong Yu… is truly a monster.’

He was a powerful Emperor, yet to this day, he had only absorbed a total of five drops of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood.

‘When I was at the World Realm, it took me several thousand years just to absorb less than a tenth of a single drop!’

‘And throughout my time in the Divine Realm, I’ve only managed to absorb one additional drop.’

Looking at the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, the Dragon Domain Master asked, “Kong Yu, can you still absorb more energy?”

‘The pool’s energy is nearly depleted, which most likely means Li Yang hasn’t reached his limit yet.’

“Yes.” The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, nodded.

“Good. In that case, continue absorbing!”

Seeing Li Yang nod, the Dragon Domain Master was overjoyed. With a clench of his right fist, a transparent bottle appeared in his hand. A red liquid sloshed within it.

The moment he opened the bottle, Li Yang felt an incomparably tyrannical aura wash over him, carrying with it an endless, oppressive might.

‘Primordial Dragon Essence Blood?’

A thought struck Li Yang as he watched.

‘That bottle of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood… there must be at least a hundred drops in there.’

‘If I could refine all of this, even someone at the World Realm could probably match an Emperor, couldn’t they?’

‘I have no idea where the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan managed to get so much Primordial Dragon Essence Blood.’

However, according to the information Li Yang had gathered, there wasn’t just one Ancestral Dragon in the entire Cosmos. Several had appeared throughout history, and each one possessed the power of a Creator Ancestor from the moment of its birth!

Within the sun of the Milky Way Galaxy alone, there was a complete Ancestral Dragon corpse!

After opening the bottle, the Dragon Domain Master let three drops fall into the Ancestral Dragon Pool.

RUMBLE!

As the three drops of blood entered, the somewhat faded Ancestral Dragon Pool instantly erupted. Its dim color vanished, replaced by the crimson hue of a true pool of blood! Wave after wave of berserk energy radiated outwards.

“Get in, Kong Yu. Keep absorbing energy! Only come out when you can’t absorb any more,” the Dragon Domain Master said with a smile.

He looked at the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, his eyes filled with even greater anticipation.

‘Absorbing the energy of one drop of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood in a single year… This proves Li Yang is exceptionally suited to refining it! He surpasses every other genius our clan has ever produced!’

‘Previously, our fastest genius took seven years to absorb a single drop, and that was while he was already at the Divine Realm!’

‘Li Yang is only at the World Realm!’

‘The more one absorbs, the easier it is to break through to higher realms in the future!’

‘Those who can absorb more Primordial Dragon Essence Blood have a much higher chance of breaking through to the Emperor or even the Master level in the future! We place immense value on such geniuses and focus all our resources on nurturing them!’

‘And right now, Li Yang’s absorption speed is at least a hundred times faster than our clan’s previous strongest genius!’

‘What does that even mean?’

‘If Li Yang can absorb so much, so quickly, while still so weak, he will surely be able to refine and absorb even more in the future—perhaps more than anyone in our clan’s history!’

‘Li Yang’s chances of breaking through to the Master level are a hundred times, perhaps even several hundred times, higher than any other Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon!’

‘With such powerful Talent and access to so much Primordial Dragon Essence Blood… the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, could very well become our clan’s next Master!’

‘How could I not value such a genius?’ At that moment, Li Yang’s importance in the Dragon Domain Master’s heart rose significantly once again.

“Yes, Lord Master.” Hearing the Dragon Domain Master’s words, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, replied respectfully.

He leaped directly into the pool and resumed his absorption.

As he began to absorb, an incredibly dense energy surged from all around, continuously pouring into his body.

‘I can absorb this much again?’ Li Yang felt a surge of joy.

‘Time to absorb with all my might!’ Without a second thought, he began to circulate his Cultivation Technique.

Watching Li Yang re-enter the pool of blood, the Dragon Domain Master still wore a smile.

“Haha! To so easily absorb the energy of a drop of Primordial Dragon Essence Blood while at the World Realm… I truly wonder where Kong Yu’s limit lies!”

‘As things stand, the more Li Yang absorbs, the higher his limit, and the greater his potential will be!’

‘Now, we wait.’

And so, the Dragon Domain Master began to wait once more.

This time, however, he did not look away. He kept his attention fixed on the pool!

Every day that passed was another day added to the new record for their Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan!

…

Time continued to pass. One month… six months… one year… two years…

In the blink of an eye, another two and a half years had passed.

In total, Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar had now spent three and a half years in the Ancestral Dragon Pool!

‘Am I about to reach saturation?’

The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, could feel that his ability to absorb energy was reaching its limit.

‘This state feels similar to what my main body experienced before.’

‘Before, it was like drinking from a full pond. Now, it’s like trying to squeeze a drop of water from a parched desert; I can barely absorb anything even after half a day.’

‘In that case, I should stop. Forcing myself to absorb these tiny wisps of energy is just a waste of time.’

Without hesitation, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon, Li Yang, stopped and climbed out of the Ancestral Dragon Pool.

He could technically continue to absorb, but the rate had become far too slow. The amount he could absorb in another two years would likely be less than what he had absorbed in just ten days before. It simply wasn’t worth it.

‘It would be best to wait a while before coming back in to absorb more.’
