The moment Yuna Sutton finished speaking, a smile touched Wyatt Thorne’s lips.

’So what if Jasper Shaw is rich? Is he richer than Evelyn Sutton’s dad?’

’He saw Evelyn Sutton’s dad driving a Rolls-Royce last time.’

’How could Jasper Shaw’s Bentley possibly compare?’

"Yuna, I didn’t mean it just now."

Wyatt Thorne’s voice was incredibly gentle as he placated her. "I was too harsh earlier. I’m sorry, Yuna, okay?"

Wyatt Thorne then continued, "Right now, I just want to focus on my studies. I’m not ready for a relationship. If you really like me, you can wait until after we graduate. How does that sound?"

Yuna Sutton’s elegant brows furrowed slightly, but after a glance at Wyatt Thorne, she nodded anyway.

Chloe Sinclair had a full schedule of classes that day and didn’t get out until 6:30 PM.

After class, she stopped by the lab for a look before heading home.

Chloe Sinclair had no classes the next day.

Coincidentally, Mr. Sinclair and Landon Sinclair were coming over that day, so Chloe Sinclair got up bright and early.

She drove her little Beetle to the airport and waited for them in the arrivals hall.

Many heads turned when Landon Sinclair and Mr. Sinclair walked out. Standing in the crowd, Chloe Sinclair spotted them immediately.

"Dad! Landon!"

Chloe Sinclair waved and walked over, reaching for her father’s luggage, but he dodged away.

"You think you can lift this with those skinny arms and legs of yours?"

Chloe Sinclair fell silent, rubbing her nose. "I’m actually pretty strong," she explained.

Mr. Sinclair paused, then he remembered his daughter’s series of past exploits and was suddenly left speechless.

Still, he would never in a million years agree to let his daughter carry the luggage.

Mr. Sinclair’s eyes widened. He changed his tack and continued, "Doesn’t your old man have his own two hands and feet? I can carry it myself, can’t I?"

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Chloe Sinclair relented.

After leaving the airport, the two men put the suitcases in the trunk of the little Beetle.

Chloe Sinclair’s car was quite small. The two men sitting in the back looked completely out of place.

On the way, Mr. Sinclair suddenly asked, "Where are you living now?"

Chloe Sinclair replied without a second thought, "In my older brother’s apartment."

Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she quickly explained, "I’ve gotten to know a lot of people there. I’m not sure I’d adapt well to a new environment."

Mr. Sinclair fell silent as soon as he heard that.

Even though he wanted his daughter to have a better living situation, he had to agree with her reasoning.

"In that case, you can just drop the two of us off at the villa."

He had been to his daughter’s apartment and knew it wasn’t large. There was simply no room for two grown men to stay.

Chloe Sinclair glanced in the rearview mirror and smiled. "It’s fine. Jasper Shaw bought the unit next to my brother’s. He said you two can stay there."

At these words, the two men instantly grew tense and exchanged a look.

"You two are living together?!"

Mr. Sinclair’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Chloe Sinclair jumped in fright.

Landon Sinclair frowned and shot his father a reproachful look. "Dad, Chloe’s driving."

Mr. Sinclair immediately clamped his mouth shut, a flicker of apology in his eyes.

After some time, her father suddenly mumbled, "Chloe, you’re still young..."

Chloe Sinclair was no child and knew exactly what he meant. Hearing his words, she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

"Dad, I know. I won’t do anything reckless. Jasper Shaw’s apartment was under renovation until recently, so he hasn’t even been over."

However, Mr. Sinclair just gave a sullen grunt in response.
