Seeing Su Chen’s choices, Hamis breathed a sigh of relief. At least they hadn’t been completely outdone by Louis Vuitton. As for George from Kaiyun Group, he could only sigh softly and accept the final result.

Su Chen wiped his mouth with a napkin and looked at the three of them. "As for the price of these three watches, coordinate directly with Jiang Hui."

"Uh, sir, you don’t have to pay for these watches..." Emma quickly spoke up, but Su Chen cut her off with a raised hand before she could finish.

"I’ll pay whatever the asking price is for these watches. If word got out that I didn’t, I’d become a laughingstock."

Although Su Chen knew giving the watches away was within Emma and the others’ discretionary power, he wasn’t one for taking small handouts. It was only a matter of a few million—no big deal.

Seeing Su Chen’s determined expression, Emma and the others could only nod in agreement. However, Emma’s eyes met Hamis’s for a brief moment, and they instantly reached a silent consensus: they just wouldn’t contact Jiang Hui.

If Su Chen knew about their little scheme, he would have to give them a thumbs-up. They were certainly quick-witted.

"I won’t keep you any longer. You should all get back to your own business." With that, Su Chen picked up the three boxes and headed upstairs.

Seeing this, the three of them had no choice but to pack up the various watches on the table. After saying a quick goodbye to Jiang Hui, they picked up their things and left.

’Sigh, this T3 terminal is massive. It takes over ten minutes just to walk out.’

After picking out the gifts that morning, Su Chen had packed a few clothes and taken a private jet straight back to Wudu. He hadn’t brought anyone with him this time.

Jiang Hui had wanted to tag along and lend a hand, but Su Chen had refused. He was back for his father’s birthday; what would it look like if he brought an assistant?

If his mother saw him ordering around a middle-aged man like Jiang Hui, she would probably accuse him of being rich and callous. So, he had simply returned alone.

As soon as he stepped out of the airport, Su Chen spotted Su Yan standing beside a Mercedes G-Wagen, chatting with a beautiful woman who was pulling a suitcase and wearing a sexy red dress.

Su Chen couldn’t get a clear look at her face, but her figure was undeniably stunning—curvy in all the right places.

Judging by their body language, however, it seemed the beautiful woman was the one who had initiated the conversation.

The reason Su Chen could tell at a glance was Su Yan’s dismissive attitude. He had a look of impatience on his face and would occasionally inch a small step away from her.

Anyone who didn’t know better would have thought he was just playing it cool and aloof.

’He won’t even take the meat that’s delivered right to his mouth. My little brother really is a straight arrow,’ Su Chen mused. With a small sigh, he grabbed his luggage and walked toward Su Yan.

"Hey, handsome~ Let’s add each other on WeChat. It’s my first time in Wudu and I don’t know my way around. If you’re free tonight, maybe you could show me the city lights?"

"What do you say, handsome~?"

As he got closer, he heard her cooing voice. The woman was a master of the deliberately cutesy, high-pitched tone, and her saccharine act was enough to make even Su Chen shiver. He had no idea how his little brother was holding out.

Anyone else would have probably opened the car door and invited her to get in on the spot.

Just then, Su Yan spotted Su Chen approaching. He turned to the beautiful woman beside him and said impatiently, "I already told you, I don’t add people on WeChat. Could you please step aside? Don’t bother me while I’m here to pick someone up!"

With that, he strode quickly toward Su Chen. Noticing the teasing look in his brother’s eyes, he immediately explained, "Big Brother, don’t get the wrong idea. I have absolutely nothing to do with her."

’Oh, my foolish little brother.’ Su Chen could now see the woman’s face clearly. Her features were actually quite pretty, and she wore exquisite makeup.

If he had to give a score, she was a solid seven or eight out of ten, factoring in her figure and outfit. She definitely qualified as a great beauty.

A pity... she had run into this blockhead of a brother.

Seeing Su Chen’s arrival, the beautiful woman didn’t linger either. She grabbed her suitcase and vanished into the crowd.

"Hey, little bro, your beautiful lady left. Aren’t you going to try and stop her?"

A helpless expression appeared on Su Yan’s face. "Big Brother, you know full well why she was hitting on me. I’m not even that handsome. If it weren’t for that G-Wagen, she wouldn’t have given me a second glance."

To be fair, Su Yan was actually decent-looking and had a very sturdy build. It was just that he was quite tan from his time in the military, which significantly impacted his looks.

Su Chen clapped him on the arm. "Have a little more confidence. They say money makes a man bold. Our family isn’t short on cash now, so what’s there to be afraid of? Next time something like this happens, just seal the deal first and figure out the rest later."

"Uh..." Su Yan was stunned. ’Is my brother actually encouraging me to be a playboy?’

Su Yan didn’t dwell on it. He took the luggage from Su Chen’s hands and headed toward the G-Wagen.

The traffic around Jiangbei Airport was insane. It took nearly half an hour of stop-and-go before they finally made it onto the inner ring expressway.

"Big Brother, are we going to the restaurant or to your new place?" Su Yan asked, glancing over.

Su Chen had mentioned buying a house when he left after the New Year, so he wasn’t surprised by the question. He was just curious where his mother and father had ended up buying.

"Su Yan, where did Mom and Dad end up buying the house?"

"It’s in the Zhaomu Mountain area, a place called Shunshan Prefecture. It’s over two hundred square meters and beautifully decorated." As Su Yan spoke, an expectant look appeared on his face; he seemed extremely pleased with the house in Shunshan Prefecture.

Su Chen had heard of the area; it was considered one of Wudu’s luxury residential districts. He hadn’t expected his mother to buy a house there.

Su Yan knew the route well, and they arrived at Shunshan Prefecture in under half an hour.

When Su Chen saw the complex’s exterior, he understood why Su Yan was so pleased. Even by his standards, it was quite impressive.

The unit they had bought was located deep within the complex, near the villa section at the back. The view was incredibly open, with almost nothing to obstruct it.

"Didn’t think Mom and Dad had such good taste in enjoying life!" Su Chen said, settling into the living room’s massage chair and happily enjoying the massage.

He hadn’t been enjoying it for more than a moment when Su Yan, who was sitting nearby, got a call. Seeing the caller ID, Su Yan made sure to let Su Chen know, "It’s Auntie!"

"Yeah, I’ve picked up Big Brother. We’re at the house now!"

"Okay, I’ll let him know. I’ll head back to the restaurant in a bit!"

"Got it, Mom!"

After hanging up, Su Yan turned to Su Chen. "Big Brother, Auntie wants to know if you’ll be stopping by the restaurant later. If you do, she said to go to the main branch at Jiefangbei. She has something she wants to talk to you about."

"Did she say what it’s about?" Su Chen asked, his eyes still closed.

Su Yan thought about the phone call for a moment, then shook his head. "No. It’s probably not important. Auntie said if you don’t go, she can just tell you tonight when she gets back."

Su Chen thought for a moment and shook his head. "I’m not going. I’ll just stay here and rest today."

’The hotpot restaurant is busiest in the evening. If I go, I’ll inevitably get roped into working. It won’t matter if I’m the boss or a board member; I’ll just end up as a waiter carrying out dishes.’

Su Chen had no desire to make more work for himself. What could be better than just relaxing at home?

"Alright, Big Brother, I’ll head back to the restaurant then. I left the car keys on the table for you, just in case you need to go out!" Su Yan said, getting ready to leave.

"Uh, if you give me the keys, how are you getting back? Are you going to walk out of the complex to catch a cab?"

They had driven for quite a ways after entering the complex gates; walking out would take at least ten minutes.

A smile spread across Su Yan’s honest, dark-tanned face. He pulled a key from his pocket and chuckled. "Uncle gave me the Volkswagen you gave him!"

A flash of surprise crossed Su Chen’s eyes. He hadn’t expected his uncle to be so generous. It seemed the old man had high hopes for Su Yan.

"Alright. Drive safe on your way."

Su Yan nodded and headed for the door. "I’m off then, Big Brother," he said as he walked. "Call me if you need anything."

With his eyes still closed, Su Chen gave a dismissive wave to show he understood.

He had less than five minutes of peace before the phone he’d left on the table started ringing, and his good mood instantly soured.

It took some effort to pull himself out of the massage chair. When he saw the caller ID, Su Chen was a little surprised.

’How did this kid know I was back in Wudu?’

Muttering to himself, he answered the call anyway.
