"Congratulations, you are pregnant..."

Hearing the news had a completely different point of view for both of them.

One was undeniably happy, while the other sat on the edge of the examination table, far too stunned to speak.

Princess could barely hide her happiness, while Faye remained frozen on the edge of the examination table, unable to process what she had just heard. Neither spoke for several seconds. The room fell strangely quiet as they stared at each other, each struggling with emotions that were completely different but equally overwhelming.

Faye stared at Doctor Jacqueline as if the woman had just announced something impossible. Her mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. Her mind seemed to have stopped working altogether.

Doctor Jacqueline was asked to confirm the results again and redo the entire test from scratch.

The doctor held her ground, looking over her charts and insisting that Faye Grande definitely had a bun in her oven.

There was no mistake.

She had checked everything twice already, but Faye’s expression made it obvious that another confirmation would probably be necessary if she wanted to leave the room without getting blamed for the entire situation.

She gave the two girls some much-needed time alone inside the room to process the overwhelming information, mostly before someone ended up punching the absolute life out of her for uttering those exact words.

Princess stood near the foot of the bed, staring directly at her girlfriend and silently waiting for the right time to say something.

Actually, she was carefully calculating inside her head whether she should say what was really on her mind.

She was excited.

Very excited.

But she knew Faye well enough to understand that celebrating right now would probably be the worst possible decision.

She could get punched..

So she kept her mouth shut, waiting for Faye to react and say something first.

"How is this possible..? I can’t be pregnant.. again.. that’s fucking insane.. You can’t hear any heartbeats, right...?" Faye mumbled, her hands shaking slightly as she looked up at Princess.

Princess listened closely.

She tilted her head slightly, concentrating on the sounds around them.

Nothing.

She couldn’t hear any heartbeat coming from Faye’s lower belly.

That was strange.

Werewolf hearts usually formed during the first week of pregnancy, and Princess was still completely sure she had picked up distinct heartbeats that night in the car.

She remembered the sound clearly.

There had been more than one.

That memory made her even more confused.

"I am not hearing any heartbeats, but you heard the doctor.. she is the professional one... she said you are pregnant, and lately you have been showing signs..."

Faye immediately shook her head.

"That cannot be.. I take the tea every time we do it. I did not miss one.."

She desperately searched for logical answers.

There had to be an explanation.

Maybe the test was wrong.

Maybe the tea had somehow stopped working.

Maybe her werewolf body was doing something strange again.

Her thoughts suddenly stopped.

Her eyes narrowed as she slowly looked at Princess.

"Princess, did you switch my tea.. so you can have another baby?"

Princess’s eyes widened.

"No, I did not do such things.. I can’t be that desperate.. I said I was going to wait until you are ready.. but it turned out the Moon Goddess is on my side..."

She tried to sound serious.

She really did.

But her lips were already threatening to curve upward.

No, she was practically dying to swing her arm in the air and do a wild victory dance right there in the room.

Another baby. Another little pup.

Their family was growing again.

Then Faye suddenly snapped, reaching out and hitting Princess on the chest.

"You bitch.. this is your fault, and you want to laugh.. I am still in school and pregnant for the second time, and you are trying to celebrate..."

Princess took the hit without even moving.

"No, I’m not.. I am as shocked as you are, baby.. I watched you drink a lot of that tea, and I am even wondering why that tea failed to protect you..."

Her expression remained perfectly straight.

At least, she tried.

Inside her head, however, things were completely different.

I’m having baby number five.. my little pups are having a little sibling.. I am so happy that stupid tea failed.. hum, hum..

She almost smiled again. Faye immediately noticed.

"Princess, stop it... I know you are lying to me.. I feel your happy pheromones..."

Princess froze.

Faye couldn’t read her mate’s inner thoughts, but she didn’t need to.

She could clearly feel and smell the girl’s overwhelmingly sweet scent filling the quiet room.

It was spiked completely over the roof.

There was no hiding it.

Princess sighed.

"Okay, okay.. I will not lie.. I am so happy, very happy that we are having another baby..."

She finally gave up.

Her broad smile appeared instantly, and her joyful pheromones spread even more strongly through the room.

Faye stared at her.

For a moment, she looked almost offended by how happy Princess was.

Then all the stress she had been holding inside finally became too much.

Her eyes became watery.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

Then another.

Seeing her girlfriend looking so genuinely happy only made Faye’s emotions crash down harder.

"I don’t want to be pregnant, this is not fair.. I just got my fitness back.. Do you know how long it took for me to get a flat tummy and then my six-pack abs..? I did so many exercises, skipped carbs, and now I am going to do it all over again because of you... I don’t know why you keep having sex with me..."

Princess’s smile weakened slightly.

"You are the one who always initiates, saying your tea is there to save the day.. We enjoyed having sex.."

Faye’s face became red.

"That is not the point!"

She wiped her eyes angrily.

"I am never having sex with you ever again in my life.. after this child.. no more sex with you, Princess Kings..."

"Okay, no more sex.. even when you throw yourself at me, I am going to resist you like you are a pandemic...." Princess muttered under her breath.

Faye barely heard her.

Her mind was already somewhere else.

"Argh... we are having another baby now. How are we going to handle school..? We still have two more years..."

Princess crossed her arms.

"Well, that is for you.. but I am going to be a full-time stay-at-home mom for my pups.."

Faye stopped wiping her eyes. She slowly looked up.

"What?"

"I said I am going to stay home with the pups."

"Are you dropping out?"

"No, I am graduating with Class 12..."

Faye stared at her.

That made absolutely no sense.

Princess was currently only a Class 11 student, which made it impossible for Faye to understand how she was suddenly planning to graduate a whole year early.

"I don’t understand.. are you trying to use your family power to jump a class..?"

Princess raised an eyebrow.

"I see you do not pay attention in school.. Year 11 students can graduate.."

Faye blinked.

"Oh."

She paused.

"Okay, that is good news.. but why am I not graduating...?"

Princess gave her a look.

"Only the top 10 are qualified for that.. I am number 3.. Kiara is somehow number 1 and Beam is number 2... then I think your friend Haley is number 7... MG is number 11.. He was supposed to try and take number 10, but he fell behind..."

Faye listened carefully.

The information slowly began sinking in.

She had known that the academy took rankings seriously, but she had never really understood why everyone acted like their position was a matter of life and death.

Now it finally made sense. She looked at Princess.

"So what number am I...?"

Princess hesitated for half a second.

"Number 37... there is no chance of you graduating, not at all..."

Faye’s expression went blank.

"Thirty-seven?"

Princess nodded.

"Thirty-seven."

Faye stared at the floor.

All those years of watching students obsess over tests, training, assignments, examinations, ability assessments, and academic rankings suddenly made sense.

The academy wasn’t simply rewarding intelligence.

The highest-ranked students were given opportunities other students didn’t have.

Early graduation was one of them.

Faye slowly leaned back against the examination table.

"So everyone is fighting for the top ten just so they can leave early..."

"Pretty much... I am part of the top ten.."

"And I’m number 37."

"Yes baby.. you are."

"And you’re number 3."

"Yes again baby.... It’s a good thing..."

Faye narrowed her eyes.

"I hate you, a lot, very, very much..."

Princess smiled.

"And I love you too, very, very, very much..."

Faye groaned and covered her face with both hands.

She had walked into the clinic worried about some strange symptoms.

She was leaving with a pregnancy she never expected, another baby joining their already chaotic family, and the painful realization that her school ranking had officially become a problem.

The room suddenly felt much smaller than before.

For Princess, however, it felt like the beginning of another beautiful Chapter.

For Faye, it felt like the Moon Goddess had personally decided to ruin her entire week.

And Fuck!!! Faye is having the Alpha Princess’s Baby, again..
