Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 430: Kidnapping A Fish
The shop happened to be a simple, bustling barbershop.
It was the kind of place that stayed busy throughout the day, with old chairs lined up in front of large mirrors and the smell of hair products hanging heavily in the air. Clippers buzzed from time to time, and the walls were decorated with pictures of different hairstyles.
But Faye was not there for a haircut.
She had come for one very specific reason.
The Beast Morph.
When Faye walked into the shop and asked for the fish, the barber immediately declined.
The man did not even look interested in negotiating. As far as he was concerned, the fish belonged to him, and that was the end of the conversation.
Even when Faye offered him money, he shook his head, saying Nemo was completely priceless to him.
Faye laughed out loud because of the name, but her laughter did not impress him, and the barber eventually drove her right out of the shop.
She stood outside for a moment, staring at the closed door with disbelief.
The fish was apparently worth more than all the money she had offered.
That was ridiculous.
But Faye was not ready to give up.
If buying it was impossible, then she would simply have to find another way.
So Henry pretended to get a haircut as a clever distraction while Faye tried her best to steal the fish from shop.
She felt like she had no other choice left.
Henry sat in the barber’s chair and acted like he was completely interested in getting his hair fixed while Faye quietly disappeared toward the back.
The plan sounded simple in their heads.
It was not simple in reality.
Every attempt went wrong.
Sometimes Faye barely got close to the aquarium before someone walked past the room. Another time, she almost managed to reach the tank, only for the barber to suddenly appear nearby and force her to hide.
Eventually, there was no way to pretend anymore.
After many failed attempts to steal the fish, they still got caught red-handed, and Henry was also thrown out of the shop alongside her.
Faye gave up on the spot, sighing as she declared that getting the fish was strictly Malo’s job from now on. He happened to know how to get into people’s heads or play mischief to get whatever he wanted without trying so hard.
That lucky bastard.
Compared to whatever nonsense she and Henry had just gone through, Malo’s appearance sounded extremely needed.
Faye was just about to pull out her phone and call Malo when Henry grabbed her arm and stopped her.
"I have Plan G..." Henry whispered with a wide grin.
Faye stared at him.
After everything that had happened, she was not sure whether hearing about another plan was comforting or terrifying.
Then she saw Kali quietly crawling along the edge of the pavement, slithering towards the shop.
The snake moved without making much noise, keeping low as she approached the building.
Faye watched with growing confusion as Kali slipped through the open window, entered the glass aquarium, and devoured every single fish swimming inside the tank within seconds.
There was barely enough time for the fish to react.
One moment, the aquarium was full of movement.
The next, it was completely empty.
Faye almost panicked, her mouth dropping open as she stared at the giant snake slipping back out.
"Did she just swallow the Beast Morph?" Faye gasped.
Henry looked far less surprised than she was.
"Come on, let’s leave before he notices his fish are gone..." Henry said, nudging her side.
Faye did not need to be told twice.
The two immediately followed Kali away from the shop before the barber could discover what had happened.
Kali returned alongside Faye and Henry to Pali Patel’s shop down the road.
Patel looked up at the kids entering the shop. It was already dark outside, and he still wondered why on earth Faye was still lingering in his area.
He had already dealt with enough trouble for one day.
The last thing he wanted was another surprise.
He suddenly noticed Kali with them, and right in front of his eyes, the heavy snake opened her jaws and vomited the entire contents of her stomach out onto the floor.
"What is the meaning of this?" Pali yelled from behind his counter, staring at how the disgusting snake had messed up his clean floor.
The floor was suddenly covered in slimy seaweed, water, and the remains of the fish Kali had swallowed.
"Sorry, boss. I will clean it up right after..." Henry said quickly as he dropped to his knees, searching through the pile for the blue fish among the slimy sea weeds and other random dead fish scattered across the floor.
He moved his hands through the disgusting mess, searching carefully.
Faye, meanwhile, stayed several steps away.
"Fuck, I’m going to fucking puke..." Faye said, covering her mouth and nose with her hand as she became thoroughly nauseated by the foul scene.
"Then go home..." Pali snapped at her without hesitation.
He didn’t even bother to ask why Kali was throwing up. He just wanted that girl to leave his sight, because whatever chaotic thing was happening in his shop tonight was all because of Faye. First his broken roof, and now whatever disgusting mess Henry was sifting through on the floor.
Faye probably would have argued with him on any other day.
But right now, she was more focused on not throwing up.
Henry continued searching through the mess until his fingers finally touched something that felt different.
"Found it!" Henry yelled, holding up the slimy creature that was vigorously trying to stretch its shape out of his tight grip.
The Beast Morph was still alive and moving.
Henry quickly put the fish inside a small transparent nylon bag and filled it with water.
Then he gave the plastic bag to Faye and started scrubbing the wet floor.
They had finally gotten what they came for.
Unfortunately, their celebration lasted only a few seconds.
"You thieves... where is my Nemo..?" The angry owner of the barbershop suddenly barged into the shop, holding a cutlass high in the air. "I’m going to hack you two to death, chop you into tiny pieces, and feed you to my sharks..."
"Oh, oh..." Henry muttered, freezing on the ground as he looked up at the wild, angry man.
Pali pinched the bridge of his nose in deep frustration. "And it keeps getting worse... Dre..." Pali called out toward the shadow near the wall.
Before the furious man could lunge forward at the two kids, someone stepped out from the darkness and gently touched his forehead.
The barber’s eyes went completely blank for a second, then returned to normal as his cutlass dropped to his side.
They watched him turn around and leave the shop, looking completely confused and wondering why he had even walked into PP’s shop in the first place.
The entire situation ended almost as quickly as it had started.
Faye stared at Dre with genuine amazement.
"Wow, that is so fucking cool, Dre..."
"You’re welcome..." Dre said with a cool, calm smirk.
"Thank you very much. I owe you our lives..." Faye said, bowing her head slightly to the Walker.
"Okay, Pali, I’m out. See you before sunrise..." Dre said, turning her back to leave the shop.
"Please, take that girl with you before she does anything else to my shop..." Pali begged, waving them off.
Faye immediately started heading toward the exit.
"I’m already leaving. Bye, Henry. Bye, Kali, and you too, PP..." Faye said, stepping out the front door right behind the Night Walker.
"My lamb..." Henry suddenly cried out after her, remembering his reward.
Faye stopped briefly and looked back.
"Come by the gym tomorrow, and you will get your lamb..." Faye yelled back over her shoulder as she walked down the street to her car.
"Bye, see you tomorrow..." Henry waved happily at the departing girl.
Then he turned around to face his boss, who gave him a cold, deadpan look from behind the counter.
"When you are done with the floor, go fix my roof..." Pali ordered sternly.
"Yes, boss..." Henry said happily, whistling a small tune as he continued to clean the floor while Pali walked over, picked up the sleepy Kali in his arms, and went into the back room to bathe the snake and put her safely to sleep.
