After tucking their pups into bed and preparing to fall asleep, Princess’s body had not even fully touched the mattress yet.

"Why are we moving, and when are we moving, and where are we moving to...?"

Faye loaded her up with questions without taking a single breath.

Faye was already tucked under the warm covers, her head turned to face the space beside her.

Princess didn’t answer at first. She slowly dimmed the room lights, used her hand to adjust the tablet on the nightstand to control the room temperature enough for her girlfriend to sleep comfortably, then double-checked her girlfriend’s side of the bed, making sure the blanket was properly tucked over her shoulders. Finally, she rested her own head down on the hello kitty pillow, turning her body to face the girl who was patiently waiting for an answer.

"Can we just talk about all of this tomorrow morning?" Princess asked quietly, her eyes heavy.

"I want answers right now, Princess. I won’t be able to fall asleep without them."

Princess sighed softly, reaching out to smooth a stray lock of hair behind Faye’s ear. "Okay, fine... I already said why we are moving. Living in this current place means we have always lived according to the people who rule this town, from the GPF to the council and the Alpha. I just want our pups to grow up in a place that doesn’t have to be defined by strict rules, where they can be free and happy."

Faye watched her eyes closely. "Are you trying to hide that I am the Moon Wolf from your grandfather? Is that the real reason why we are moving?"

"Partly, but it honestly doesn’t matter where we go in the world, we can’t fully hide from him. And also, he is definitely not the only Alpha searching for the Moon Wolf right now. There are other Alphas out there too. And I can’t actually hide you forever. Some way or another, you will eventually expose yourself. You already did that with half this town. The main point is, it’s not strictly about you being the Moon Wolf. It’s about me wanting a fresh, new environment for my family... a big house full of happy kids and just doing a normal slice of life."

"Okay, that’s good. Now I understand that part. Second question..." Faye said, shifting under the sheets.

"I already mentioned that earlier... I said after school..."

"Yeah, but you did not specify that clearly at all. Is it after your schooling or my schooling? Because right now you are the first person who is graduating..."

"After I graduate, we are officially moving..."

Faye nodded her head slowly, taking in the full weight of the information.

"So what about my school?"

"I will figure out a proper way for you to graduate right alongside me. I’m definitely not leaving you behind here."

"Super cool, but what about my friends, especially Malo...? I don’t think he is going to take it lightly at all..." Faye was already picturing his dramatic facial expression the exact second he found out that she was graduating early with Princess and moving.

"Yeah, he is honestly another big reason why we are moving. Just forget about him as your BFFFFFF or whatever that nonsense means to him. You will make new friends who actually don’t invite constant danger into your life."

"Okay, Malo does not invite danger. The entire world we are currently living in is danger. I am a Moon Wolf and somehow danger, you are an Alpha and also danger, we are literally supernatural beings. Everything we do is dangerous..." Faye said, her tone turning completely serious as she defended her best friend.

"Okay, I get it..." Princess said, trying to cut off the list.

But Faye wasn’t done speaking yet.

"Your friends are danger too. One used to deeply envy you that she even slept with your ex and has family anger issues, and the other one is an emotionally detached psychotic bitch who somehow has a whole volcano demon living inside of her. And don’t even let me start with your family..."

"Faye, I said I get it..." Princess interrupted gently, holding up her hand.

"Good... Now for the third question..."

"Why don’t you take a quick guess? I will give you a little hint. A place that has snow..."

Faye blinked, her brows pulling together as she thought. "North Pole?"

Princess laughed quietly under her breath. "No, it’s more like a rural town, and you have literally spent six years there..."

Faye’s eyes went wide as the realization hit her. "We are moving to Redwood?"

"Yeah, baby... I already bought a large piece of land there, and very soon it will have a brand new house built on it..."

"When on earth did all that happen?"

"The exact time we visited Redwood together, I discussed the idea with Guru, and just a week ago he sent me the official land documents..."

"Wow, so back when you were busy asking me if we could just stay in Redwood forever, you were already planning to buy actual land..."

"Yes. Don’t you like the place?" Princess asked, her eyes searching Faye’s face with hope.

Seeing the pure, glowing happiness on Princess’s face, Faye didn’t say anything further to push back.

"Well, anywhere is a home when we are all together..." Faye muttered softly.

She relaxed her weight against her girlfriend’s outstretched arm, leaning in close and sniffing her soothing scent deep into her system.

"But next time, please tell me about any major changes you are making early on..."

"Sure, I definitely will."

"Hmmm, goodnight. Tomorrow morning, I want to wake up to banana toast bread with scrambled eggs and a fresh mango shake..."

"Okay. Good night, Poppy. Also, don’t tell your fucking best friend a single word about this... He is far too clingy, and I really don’t want him ruining my plans..."

"I won’t say anything to him..." Faye muttered into the pillow.

She held onto the warmth, then finally drifted off into a deep sleep while cuddling her Alpha tight through the rest of the night.
