Chapter 438: Kiara And Faye’s Plan

  • Next Chapter

Malo and Faye went to meet Kiara at a small, noisy pizza place.

"Kiara, you have exactly 20 minutes to say whatever you want to say out loud. I have to be back home by 9," Faye said the moment she slid into the booth, and Malo followed right behind her.

"What is he doing here?" Kiara asked, glaring hard at the uninvited extra.

"He is my best friend, so just deal with it," Faye said without missing a beat.

"Do you see me inviting any of my best friends here right now, or did I tell you this was some best-friend tag-along party?" Kiara argued back, her voice dripping with irritation.

"I said deal with it. He is not going to say a single word..."

"Really? Princess’s talking parrot is going to stay quiet?"

"Hey, I do not work for Princess anymore, and also, I am not a talking parrot," Malo shot back, leaning across the table.

"I still don’t know why you don’t want Princess to know about this other plan," Faye said, turning back to Kiara.

"That is strictly because she is going to try and stop us immediately. I don’t want that happening. This might be the only real way left to end this generational curse forever."

"Just so you know, if this thing enters the red level zone, I am telling my bae everything. She already knows we are cooking something behind her back, and I really don’t like the suspicious look she keeps giving me," Faye said firmly.

"MG, go order the pizza," Kiara ordered casually, waving a hand at Malo.

"Do I look like an errand boy to you? I said I don’t work for Princess, and you are not dating her anymore for you to boss me around like this. I am no longer an errand boy," Malo shot back...

Faye gently tapped his shoulder, calming him down.

"Please go get the pizza for us," Faye said softly.

"I am only going because my best friend asked me nicely, not because of you. My eyes and ears are watching you two," Malo said before sliding out of the booth and going over to the front counter to place their order.

So Kiara started explaining.

"By January, the Council will begin their ritual for the sacrifice, so we have less than a month left to beat them to it. We need a witch and enough raw magic. I have a ring which contains witches’ magic, and I will be needing two other artifacts."

"To do what exactly?" Faye cut in, her brows pulling together.

"I want to have a direct conversation with the demon living inside me, and we are doing it before this year ends."

"So why on earth are you involving me in this?"

"Have you really not noticed it yet? For some weird reason, you aren’t affected by my poison blood at all. Until the day you kinda went out of control, whenever I pierced my own skin, I instantly lost consciousness and the demon inside me took over my body for hours. But now I can just use a single drop of blood per day without losing control, and also, the other day in the gym, you did not get burned by my blood," Kiara explained quickly. She had been carefully monitoring herself lately and even wondering what strange connection she had with Faye, the Moon Wolf.

"So I will be needing your presence when I go deep into my domain," Kiara said, leaning in closer.

"Can you dial it down a bit because I still don’t get it at all," Faye said, shaking her head.

"The demon that lives inside me. We are going to both have a direct conversation with him... inside my head."

"You want me to enter your crazy head to have a discussion with a fire demon?" Faye muttered with a completely straight face.

"Yes, exactly, you are finally getting it."

"No fucking way."

"What do you mean, no fucking way? You already agreed to help me out."

"Yeah, I agreed to help with anything but facing a fucking demon which can easily endanger my life. I don’t want to do something stupid again that affects me or my family..."

"Don’t worry, it’s completely safe. I have done my research, and I hired a very experienced Were-witch online. She will make sure that nothing bad happens to our bodies while we are unconscious. You are going to be fine. You just have to trust me on this," Kiara said, trying to sound reassuring.

"I’d rather trust the devil than trust a snake like you. You are completely selfish," Faye pointed out cold and direct.

"I am just trying to break a blood curse and live my life... because otherwise I am going to die a terrible death that was never meant for me."

"Let’s just wait for Guru to find Prince Kings, and all this chaos will be over anyway."

"Guru is never going to find Prince Kings. He keeps giving us lame excuses, and I do not want to be forced to marry a child."

"Okay, wait. Let’s just say we actually go through with this, go inside your crazy head, and talk directly to the demon. What is next after that? Beg him to leave your body, so he doesn’t have to kill you?" Faye asked, her voice filled with doubt.

"Yes. I am going to beg him to leave my body, and then he is going to burn the Council to the ground."

"Your plan completely sucks. It’s not clicking at all, Kiara. You are lying to me again. Beg him to leave your body and then let him burn the Council? Come on, Kiara... that is not exactly what you are planning to do. I heard that you are not just a vessel for him. You are like the thing that actively weakens him, so he does not have to unleash his full power and destroy the whole world. That is why the moment you turn 18, you will get slaughtered and he enters another fresh vessel. What are you actually trying to do, Kiara?" Faye said, leaning forward across the table.

There was no way she was going to blindly believe the girl’s messy plan. Princess had warned her that she should never trust Kiara fully and should be extremely careful around her.

Kiara stared at her for a long second, her eyes narrowing as the fake innocent expression faded away.

"Fine. I want to control my own body when I am using his powers. I want to make a real deal with the demon. All I need right now is your full cooperation."
