Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 462: Eating Noddles
Faye was sitting in the gym with her legs crossed, enjoying a bowl of noodles alongside her friends. Bambi had prepared the meal before driving to the store to share some with Beam, leaving the rest for everyone to enjoy together.
Between mouthfuls, Faye had just finished telling Sasha and Malo about her encounter with the Alpha King. Both listened without interrupting, but their expressions made it clear that they were struggling to believe what they had just heard.
"So the Alpha King, the same man who was supposedly searching for the Moon Wolf, already knew where the Moon Wolf was and who they were?" Malo asked in disbelief. He shook his head and slurped another mouthful of noodles, as though eating might somehow help him make sense of the situation.
"I am shocked, but at the same time, I am not surprised..." Sasha replied thoughtfully.
Faye and Malo both turned towards her.
"Why are you not surprised?" Faye asked, raising an eyebrow.
Sasha placed her bowl down before explaining her reasoning.
"Half of this town already knows that Faye is the Moon Wolf. Princess knows, Leo knows, Kiara knows, Silviana knows, the Chief knows, and there are plenty of other people who are aware of it. The Alpha King is the leader of Oakland. If he doesn’t know something this important, then he must be blind or nothing more than a puppet."
Faye fell silent, considering her friend’s words. It was difficult to argue with that logic, especially after spending years believing that the Alpha King was actively searching for her.
Malo, however, seemed more interested in another part of the story.
"The Alpha King is a mystery. How is he sixty years old and still looks younger than me? That alone is a mystery..." he muttered, staring into his bowl as he wondered what kind of secret could keep someone looking so young.
Faye glanced at him with a faint smile.
"Do you want to find out why he looks so young?"
"No!" Malo answered immediately, shaking his head. "My mind is telling me that finding out will get me killed, so let’s leave that as a mystery."
Sasha burst into laughter, while Faye shook her head at his response.
Malo continued eating until another thought crossed his mind, making his expression turn serious.
"The Council having more power control than the Alpha King is also a mystery. They are always working in the shadows, and from what I have heard, most of the seats are occupied by werewitches, except for the two reserved for Adam Kings and Silviana Kings."
He paused to take another mouthful before looking at Faye.
"By the way, whatever you and that girl are planning, are you also planning to kill Adam Kings and Silviana Kings?"
Faye’s expression grew serious.
"No. Adam and Silviana are not our main targets, but if they get in our way, we will have no choice."
Malo slowly lowered his bowl, clearly unhappy with her answer. He understood why Faye and Kiara wanted revenge, especially after everything that had happened to Faye’s mother, but the thought of going against the people who held Oakland together made him question their plans.
"Is it really necessary for you two to do this?" he asked.
"Yes. They need to go. If they don’t, they will try to kill Kiara."
Faye didn’t hesitate. Whatever doubts she might have had about the Council, she knew that leaving them alone would only give them another opportunity to come after Kiara. She had no intention of allowing that to happen.
Malo stared at her for a moment before releasing a long sigh.
"Okay, then. Good luck, and make sure you inform me about the date so I can lock myself inside my house. I have no idea how you intend to fight the pillars of Oakland and still expect to win..." he said, sounding genuinely concerned despite his attempt to make light of the situation.
Faye chuckled.
"You don’t need to worry, Malo. It is just going to be me and Kiara. I’m not even going to recruit Sasha or Peamah."
Sasha immediately raised her head, giving Faye a look that made it clear she had heard every word.
"Okay, but if you don’t want any of us to show up, just don’t get hurt. It triggers us..." she warned.
Faye looked at her friends, understanding exactly what Sasha meant. They might not be joining the fight, but that didn’t mean they would sit quietly if anything happened to her. She knew them well enough to realise that keeping them away from danger would be much easier said than done.
They continued eating, with Malo occasionally shaking his head at the thought of Faye and Kiara taking on Oakland’s most powerful figures. Sasha, meanwhile, made sure Faye understood just how angry they would be if she tried to handle everything alone and ended up getting hurt.
Before the argument could continue, Sasha’s phone suddenly rang.
She glanced at the screen and smiled when she saw Haley’s name.
"It’s Haley!" she announced, immediately accepting the video call.
Rather than crowd around the phone, Sasha connected it to the flat-screen television so everyone in the gym could see her clearly.
Haley appeared on the screen with an excited smile, looking happier than they had seen her in a while. She wasted no time telling them how much she was enjoying her new environment.
"I wish you guys could see this place for yourselves!" she exclaimed, turning the camera towards the school premises.
She began giving them a tour, pointing out the different buildings and the impressive technology scattered around the campus. The school was equipped with all sorts of advanced machinery, and Haley seemed particularly excited about the mechanical equipment she had discovered.
Faye and the others watched with interest as she moved around, explaining the things that caught her attention. Every now and then, Haley turned the camera back towards herself to share another detail, barely giving anyone a chance to interrupt.
After showing them the school grounds, she took them to her classroom, giving everyone a glimpse of where she would spend most of her time studying.
Eventually, the tour brought her to her dormitory.
"And this is where I sleep!" Haley announced, turning the camera towards the room she shared with another girl.
She showed them her sleeping area and the other things she had settled into since arriving. Her friends listened as she talked about her new surroundings, occasionally asking questions about anything that caught their attention.
By the time Haley finally ended the call, quite a bit of time had passed.
Sasha disconnected her phone from the television, and everyone began gathering their empty bowls and tidying up the area where they had eaten.
They were still putting everything away when Kiara walked into the gym.
