Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 466: Kidnap Again
It was Friday morning, and Faye was in the kitchen happily flipping pancakes while thinking about her own pancake.
Her pancake.
Princess.
She had just finished talking to her girlfriend on the phone, and the woman couldn’t wait for her to return home tomorrow, Saturday. Faye couldn’t blame her because she was equally excited about seeing her girlfriend and pups again. It had only been a few days, but she already missed them terribly.
However, as much as she wanted to see her family, there was one thing she was particularly looking forward to.
Her girlfriend’s birthday present.
Faye couldn’t wait to see Princess’s reaction when she finally showed her what she had prepared. She had put a lot of effort into it, and although she was confident Princess would love it, a small part of her was still curious about how her girlfriend would react.
Would she be surprised? Would she smile? Would she throw herself into Faye’s arms and cover her face with kisses?
Just imagining it made Faye grin as she flipped another pancake.
Unfortunately, she was so busy thinking about her girlfriend that she had completely forgotten about the pancake in the pan.
"Looks like we’re eating burnt pancakes for breakfast," Eriko remarked from behind her, staring at the frying pan.
"Oh, shit!"
Faye immediately snapped out of her thoughts and looked down at the pancake, which was already burning. She quickly removed it from the pan, greased the surface again, and poured in another batch of batter before she could ruin the entire breakfast.
She really needed to stop thinking about Princess while cooking. Otherwise, she might end up poisoning her own family with burnt food before she even got the chance to return home.
"Don’t worry, sister. Your brother is here to the rescue!"
Paye, who happened to be in the kitchen, stepped forward and picked up the burnt pancake before shoving the entire thing into his mouth at once.
Faye turned towards her big brother and smiled.
"Thank you, my second-best brother."
"Second?" Paye repeated, looking at her with a confused expression. "I am your one and only brother!"
He corrected her with complete confidence before returning to the living room couch, apparently satisfied with his contribution to the family breakfast.
Faye simply chuckled.
If Paye ever found out that there was another brother in her life, he would probably be the one getting jealous. For now, she was perfectly happy to let him believe he held the position of her one and only brother.
Besides, he had just sacrificed himself by eating a burnt pancake. Surely, that deserved some appreciation.
While Faye continued preparing breakfast, Eriko stepped closer to the counter and reached for one of the freshly made pancakes.
"Don’t touch that," Faye warned without even looking at him.
Eriko paused and turned towards her.
"But you let him take one," he grumbled, pointing towards the living room where Paye had disappeared with the burnt pancake.
"That one was burnt. Do you want to eat burnt pancakes too?"
"No, thank you."
Eriko abandoned his attempt to steal a pancake and headed towards the fridge instead. He opened it, retrieved a can of beer, and deliberately made sure Faye was watching as he pulled the tab.
He took his first sip with a satisfied expression, almost as though he had just won an argument. The message was clear. She could stop him from touching her pancakes, but she couldn’t stop him from enjoying his beer alone.
Faye shook her head at his behaviour and returned her attention to the stove.
Eriko, meanwhile, carried his beer back into the living room and settled onto the couch beside Paye. The two men were already absorbed in the morning show playing on the television, apparently having forgotten all about the little exchange in the kitchen.
Faye finished preparing breakfast and arranged the food on the table. By the time she was ready to eat, Eriko and Paye were already enjoying their meals, leaving her to shake her head at their lack of patience.
Honestly, what was the point of cooking for people who couldn’t even wait for everyone to sit down before eating?
She was just about to take her first bite when Bambi walked into the house.
"Good morning, Bambi. You’re right on time. Have your seat. Breakfast is ready," Faye greeted her, gesturing towards the table.
"Good morning, everyone."
Bambi returned the greeting before turning towards Faye with an unusual expression.
"Faye, there is a Kiara outside the house."
Faye paused, her fork hovering above her plate.
"Kiara?"
"Yes, Kiara," Bambi confirmed, pointing towards the door.
"What is she doing here?" Faye wondered aloud.
"I am having the same thought," Bambi replied.
She pulled out a chair, sat down with the others, and began serving herself breakfast as though Kiara standing outside the house was none of her business.
Faye, on the other hand, couldn’t stop wondering why Kiara had decided to show up without warning. They had no plans together today, and as far as she knew, there was nothing urgent they needed to discuss.
So why hadn’t Kiara simply come inside?
And why was she standing outside the house instead of knocking on the door like a normal person?
Faye stared towards the entrance for another moment before finally pushing her chair back.
She would have to find out for herself.
Leaving her breakfast behind, she walked towards the front door and stepped outside. Her eyes immediately landed on Kiara, who was standing nearby as though she had been waiting for her to appear.
"Kiara, what are you doing here? We have no business today," Faye said the moment she approached her.
She glanced around, expecting to see Kiara’s car parked nearby, but there was no sign of it.
Kiara, however, seemed unconcerned by Faye’s suspicion.
"I just want to talk to you about something," she replied.
Faye narrowed her eyes.
"Where is your car?"
"I left it at home."
Faye stared at her, waiting for the explanation that would make this situation sound less ridiculous.
"So, did you walk all the way here just to talk to me? Why?"
She wasn’t buying it. Kiara hardly went anywhere without her car. Even when she needed to attend school, which wasn’t far from her house, she still drove herself there. Yet, for some unknown reason, she had decided to leave her car at home and travel all the way to Faye’s house on foot.
What exactly was so important that she couldn’t wait or simply call her?
Faye folded her arms, growing increasingly suspicious of the woman standing in front of her.
She was about to tell Kiara to leave if she had nothing reasonable to discuss when everything suddenly changed.
Before Faye could even react, Kiara reached out and touched her.
In the next instant, Faye found herself somewhere completely unfamiliar.
Darkness surrounded her, and the first thing she noticed was the solid walls enclosing the space. She couldn’t remain standing and had ended up lying flat on the ground, with no idea how she had gotten there or what the hell Kiara had just done to her.
For a moment, she could only stare into the darkness, trying to make sense of what had happened. Then the realisation hit her.
"Fucking hell, that sick bitch!"
Faye coughed as she struggled to gather herself, furious that Kiara had somehow managed to drag her into another unknown danger without even giving her a proper warning.
Again!
Was this woman ever going to let her live in peace?
First, there had been the endless trouble surrounding the Council, the Deansons, and everything else they were planning. Now, Kiara had apparently decided to introduce her to another mystery without bothering to explain anything beforehand.
Faye was going to kill her.
"When you say bitch, are you referring to me?"
The familiar voice came from somewhere near Faye’s feet.
Except, when she turned her head towards the sound, she realised something was terribly wrong.
Her feet were beside her head.
Faye froze for a moment, trying to understand how she had ended up in such an awkward position. Then she recognised the voice and turned towards it again.
"Kiara, is that you?"
"Yes, it is I," Kiara answered calmly. "And FYI, we are about to be executed..."
