Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 467: Inside A Coffin
So, it turned out that Faye was inside a coffin, and Kiara was trapped in there with her.
Faye would have preferred to believe she was having a nightmare, but the hard surface beneath her body and the limited space around her made it impossible to ignore reality. There was barely enough room for the two of them to move comfortably, and every attempt to adjust their positions ended with them bumping into each other.
"This is not good for me. I cannot be this close to you in just one week. What is the meaning of this?" Faye grumbled, trying to find a comfortable position.
Unfortunately, the coffin was too small to allow any meaningful movement, and after another unsuccessful attempt, she finally gave up. She wasn’t going to waste her energy struggling against a wooden box.
Instead, she turned towards the woman lying beside her, her feet..
"Kiara, why are we here?"
"I have no idea why, but I’m guessing this is the doing of my sister and her sidekick," Kiara replied.
"Arrrg!" Faye groaned, squeezing her eyes shut in frustration. "I warned the doctor not to do anything, so why am I involved? Why am I always at the centre of people’s problems?"
What had she done to deserve this kind of treatment?
She had been enjoying her Friday morning, making pancakes and thinking about her girlfriend, only for Kiara’s ghost or whatever to show up at her house and drag her into another ridiculous situation. Now, instead of enjoying breakfast with her family, she was trapped inside a coffin with a woman who seemed to attract trouble almost as effortlessly as she breathed.
"I wonder as well," Kiara replied. "I’ve been here for seven hours, and there’s been no progress."
Faye turned towards her.
"Seven hours?"
"Yes, seven hours."
Faye stared at her in disbelief. Kiara had been trapped inside this coffin for seven hours, and nobody had bothered to let them out?
What the hell was wrong with these people?
"Whatever. I’m just going to link up with one of my Betas, and they’ll come to rescue us."
Determined to get out of this ridiculous situation, Faye closed her eyes and concentrated. She tried reaching out to Bambi, Kiara, and Peamah through their mental connections, hoping at least one of them would notice her attempt and come looking for her.
Nothing happened.
She tried again, focusing harder, but there was still no response. It was as though the connection had disappeared entirely, leaving her unable to reach any of her Betas.
Faye frowned and made another attempt, growing increasingly frustrated when nothing changed.
"Are you done? Did you contact any of those losers?" Kiara asked, her tone suggesting that she wasn’t particularly interested in the answer.
Faye opened her eyes and glared at her feet.
"No. Why can’t I do it? I can’t even feel them in my mind!"
It was the strangest thing. She could usually sense her Betas through their connection, but right now, there was absolutely nothing. It felt as though she had never been connected to them in the first place.
Kiara sighed.
"The little witch happens to be involved, and your brother doesn’t want to assist. The boy is a claustrophobic freak, and I can’t even turn around in here."
Faye stared at the girl’s manicure toes, wondering how any of that was supposed to help their situation.
Then again, knowing Kiara, she probably had an explanation for everything, even if it did nothing to solve their problem.
As for her brother, his refusal to help wasn’t entirely surprising. Given his fear of confined spaces, the idea of squeezing himself into a coffin would probably send him running in the opposite direction.
Kiara was also becoming irritated by the lack of space. Her experiences with Perico had already given her enough reasons to hate being trapped in enclosed places. When he was a child, the villagers had confined him to a small room for days before sacrificing him, leaving him without proper food and subjecting him to a miserable existence.
Now, she was stuck in another cramped space, barely able to turn her body.
"Also, can you keep your feet in one place? I hate the constant movement," Kiara complained as Faye’s feet brushed against her face again.
"Are those two going to keep us inside here forever?" Faye asked, completely ignoring her complaint.
"Faye, please do not speak a word. I’m trying to figure out how to get out of here, and I’m making sure those two bitches regret trying to cross me."
She paused, her expression growing darker as she thought about her sister.
"I warned Silviana not to do anything. I do not wish to follow her way, but she’s just determined to do whatever she likes."
Although Kiara understood that her sister was trying to help her break free from the Fire Demon and prevent her death, that did not mean she agreed with her methods.
In fact, Kiara had no intention of giving up Perico’s powers. She wanted them, and she had already obtained them without allowing him to take control of her mind or body. With his abilities at her disposal, there was so much she could accomplish, yet those two seemed determined to underestimate her.
They had no idea what she was capable of, and Kiara intended to make them regret their decision.
Meanwhile, Faye was still wondering why she had been dragged into this mess in the first place.
What had she done to deserve being locked inside a coffin with Kiara, of all people?
She had her own problems to deal with, including a girlfriend waiting for her return and a birthday present she was eager to give her. Instead, she was stuck in a box with no way to contact her Betas, no idea where she was, and absolutely no guarantee that anyone would come to rescue them.
"I feel like I’m suffocating in here," Faye complained, trying to find a comfortable position without touching Kiara again.
"Relax. Walkers sleep in coffins all the time, and they seem perfectly fine, so shut up and stop breathing hot air on my toes. It feels weird," Kiara replied.
Faye turned her head towards her feet before looking back at Kiara in disbelief.
Was this woman serious?
How was she supposed to relax when she was trapped inside a coffin with someone who seemed more concerned about her toes than their actual predicament?
"I wish they would put us inside separate coffins," Faye muttered, turning her head the other way.
That would have been far better than sharing this tiny space with Kiara. At least then she could stretch her legs, move around, and breathe without worrying about annoying the woman beside her.
Unfortunately, nobody seemed interested in granting her that wish.
As time passed, Faye eventually grew tired of complaining. The cramped space was uncomfortable, the darkness was irritating, and the lack of answers was beginning to wear her down.
At some point, she finally fell asleep.
When she woke up, she was still inside the coffin. For a few seconds, she lay quietly, hoping she had somehow escaped while sleeping. However, the familiar wooden walls surrounding her quickly crushed that hope.
She was still trapped. Faye let out a frustrated groan.
"I’m hungry."
Kiara didn’t immediately respond.
"I skipped breakfast because of all this nonsense, and now I’m starving," Faye continued. "I should have finished eating before coming outside."
If she had known what awaited her, she would have stayed at the breakfast table and enjoyed every last bite. At least she would have been comfortable, with a full stomach and her family around her.
Instead, she was lying inside a coffin with Kiara, who seemed perfectly content to remain quiet while they waited for someone to rescue them.
Faye shifted slightly, sighed, and eventually closed her eyes again. If nobody intended to let them out anytime soon, she might as well sleep until someone finally remembered they were in there.
So, she fell asleep again.
Time passed before a noise suddenly interrupted the silence.
Someone was opening the coffin.
Faye’s eyes snapped open as she heard the sound above them. Kiara also appeared to notice the movement, and for the first time in what felt like forever, they had a reason to believe their miserable situation might finally be coming to an end.
The lid began to open, allowing light to spill into the coffin.
Then a familiar voice broke the silence.
"I can’t believe this. I was gone for six days, and I find you inside a coffin..."
