Getting $10 Million From My First Sign-In
Chapter 62: Senior Vice President
Inside the headquarters of Pinnacle Real Estate in the Sunstone District...
Director Bradley remained bowed, sweat pouring down his temples.
Serena watched the display in horror. She had spent years clawing her way to the top of the luxury hierarchy, operating under the assumption that Bradley was the ultimate authority.
Seeing her untouchable boss groveling like a terrified subordinate finally forced her to comprehend the scale of Jude Lawson’s power.
Jude sighed. "I did not authorize Pinnacle to manage the Obsidian Tower, yet your brokers are manipulating my premium inventory to inflate their own commissions. I assure you, Lawson Capital’s private legal division is already drafting the injunctions for fraudulent leasing and tortious interference."
The threat of a multi-billion-dollar corporate lawsuit from Wall Street’s most ruthless predator was the ultimate kill shot.
Pinnacle Real Estate had a total corporate valuation of roughly $500,000,000.
The Obsidian Tower was worth three billion...
Jude could bankrupt the entire agency in a single afternoon of litigation.
Realizing that the survival of his entire firm was hanging by a thread, he instantly redirected his terror into blazing fury aimed directly at Serena.
"Mr. Lawson, I swear on my life, this agency does not condone unauthorized leasing!" Bradley shouted, turning to face his senior broker. "She circumvented the compliance division to lock in her own VIP clients!"
Serena’s eyes widened in panic. "Director Bradley! You... you authorized the deposits!"
"I authorized the deposits under the assumption you had secured the legal proxy!" Bradley roared. "You have compromised this entire agency! Your employment at Pinnacle Real Estate is permanently terminated! You are fired, Serena! I am personally blacklisting you from every single brokerage in this district!"
Serena staggered backward, her face twisting in horror. She had just lost her throne in the span of thirty seconds.
"You can’t do this!" Serena shrieked. "I am the top producer at this firm! I hold the exclusive management rights to twenty ultra-luxury corporate estates! If you fire me, my clients will pull their listings! You will lose millions in quarterly revenue!"
Director Bradley let out a dark laugh. The delusion of her statement was staggering...
"Twenty corporate estates?" Bradley mocked viciously. "Do you have any idea what is standing right in front of you?! Mr. Lawson’s single skyscraper dwarfs the valuation of this entire agency! The Obsidian Tower will generate more leasing revenue in a month than your pathetic portfolio will generate in a decade! You are nothing compared to him! Get your belongings and get out!"
The surrounding clique of junior brokers watched in stunned silence.
The undisputed queen of the Sunstone District had just been brutally decapitated, her entire career incinerated because she had the misfortune of bullying the bloodline of a billionaire.
Desperate, she turned toward the towering silhouette of the billionaire.
"Mr. Lawson, please!" Serena begged, tears of genuine panic streaming down her face, ruining her makeup. "I... I didn’t know! I swear, I didn’t know she was related to you! Please don’t let him fire me! I have a mortgage on my penthouse, I have lifestyle expenses! I cannot survive without this tier of income!"
Jude looked down at her with indifference.
"I recall you lecturing my cousin on the rules of this industry just moments ago," Jude noted. "If you offend the monarchy, you obediently pack your bags and get out. I suggest you start packing."
Realizing the billionaire possessed zero sympathy, Serena pivoted toward Clara.
"Clara! Clara, I am so sorry!" Serena sobbed, abandoning every shred of her dignity. "I was wrong! I was greedy and I was wrong! Please, just tell him to let me keep my job! I’ll transfer the whale client back to you! I’ll give you half my portfolio! Just please don’t let them ruin me!"
Clara stared at the weeping woman. Just ten minutes ago, Serena had gleefully attempted to destroy Clara’s life out of petty spite.
Finding her spine, Clara squared her shoulders, her expression hardening. "You brought this upon yourself, Serena," Clara said, her voice surprisingly steady. "You stole my client and you abused your authority to get me fired. I have no sympathy for you."
Serena let out a pathetic wail as two security guards, summoned by Bradley’s frantic hand gestures, grabbed her by the arms and dragged her toward the exit.
The lobby was finally purged of the toxic broker, leaving only the Managing Director standing before Jude.
Bradley wiped the sweat from his brow, offering a shaky smile. "Mr. Lawson... is there anything I can do to appease you? We would consider it the ultimate honor to formally manage the logistics of the Obsidian Tower. I will restructure our entire executive division to accommodate your asset."
Jude adjusted his cuffs.
He had always intended to outsource the day-to-day property management; he simply refused to let his assets be mismanaged by arrogant subordinates...
"I will allow Pinnacle to retain the management contract for the skyscraper," Jude declared.
Bradley nearly collapsed in sheer relief, praising the heavens.
"However," Jude continued. "I have zero trust in your legacy compliance division. My asset will only remain at Pinnacle under one condition: Clara will oversee the entirety of the Obsidian Tower’s leasing contracts."
Bradley didn’t hesitate for a single second.
The survival of his firm was on the line, and he was eager to bind the billionaire’s bloodline to his agency.
"Consider it done, Mr. Lawson!" Bradley agreed instantly, turning to Clara with a brilliant smile. "Clara, effective immediately, you are promoted to Senior Vice President of Executive Leasing!"
Clara’s jaw dropped. "Senior... Senior Vice President?"
"Yes!" Bradley insisted eagerly. "You will be relocated to the largest corner office on the executive floor. I will assign you a dedicated, elite support staff. Furthermore, your base salary is increased to a guaranteed seven figures, alongside exclusive, top-tier commission rights for every single unit in the Obsidian Tower!"
Clara was speechless.
In less than fifteen minutes, she had gone from a fired, humiliated junior broker to one of the highest-paid executives in the Sunstone District!
