Chapter 489: Chapter 391: Duke VS Catastrophe Level Demon Serpent Avatar

"For Modo!"

Cashmo raised the Bone Staff in his hand and let out a hoarse cry.

The massive Green Dragon beneath him abruptly beat its wings, kicking up a furious gale. Like a dark green arrow shot from a bow, it dove toward the Heart of the Giant Beast in the center of the lake!

Its speed was incredible!

On the highlands, Aiden Duke’s expression darkened instantly.

Behind him, the Thunder Dragon Astra let out a low growl, preparing to launch into the sky.

"Astra!"

The Duke stopped his impatient Thunder Dragon companion. It wasn’t their time to act yet.

The Green Dragon was too fast.

"Don’t even think about it!"

General Gaius roared, steering his own Thunder Dragon companion to charge from the flank and intercept.

His Thunder Dragon companion was named Rosa, and she was Astra’s mate.

But Cashmo had clearly come prepared. From behind him, several Domain Level Lizardfolk powerhouses riding Flying Magical Beasts charged forward fearlessly, pinning down General Gaius.

It seemed as if the radiant Heart of the Giant Beast was about to fall into Cashmo’s hands.

But a cold smile touched the corner of Raylo’s lips.

’This is the moment I’ve been waiting for!’

He had held the Giant Legion back from the main battlefield for this very purpose.

"Kado!"

Raylo’s voice boomed like thunder before the Giant Legion’s formation.

"Here!"

"See that Green Dragon in the sky?"

"Shoot it down for me!"

Raylo gave the order.

"You got it!"

Kado and Ug exchanged a look, their faces lighting up with excitement.

"All Giants! On my command!"

Kado’s voice cut through all the noise of the battlefield.

"Target! The Green Dragon in the sky!"

"Ready!"

Over a hundred Hill Giants simultaneously drew the Javelins from their backs that they had yet to use.

These Javelins were specially forged for the Giants by the Valen Family, their heads crafted from Refined Iron.

Most importantly, these Javelins were coated in a potent poison.

The very same "Sigh of the Giant Dragon" that Raylo had previously refined from Scorpion-tailed Lion Venom.

This poison was exceptionally effective against the tough-skinned, thick-fleshed Giant Dragons.

Over a hundred Giants raised their Javelins in unison.

Their gnarled, muscular arms were like fully drawn bowstrings, containing a terrifying power capable of tearing anything apart.

All eyes were locked onto the swiftly diving Green Dragon.

Cashmo had evidently noticed the commotion on the ground as well.

He glanced down at the Giants, a flash of disdain in his eyes.

’A bunch of big oafs who can’t even fly. What can they do to me?’

His Green Dragon companion was already a High Tier Domain Level beast, just a step away from the Peak. It had no reason to fear ordinary attacks.

He didn’t even bother to dodge, continuing to urge his Green Dragon toward the Heart of the Giant Beast.

Victory seemed to be within his grasp.

Watching his arrogant display, Raylo sneered inwardly.

’Idiot.’

"Fire!"

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Hundreds of poisoned Javelins shot forth in unison, whistling with the sound of death.

The dark, dense volley was like a giant net rising from the ground, instantly sealing off all of the Green Dragon’s escape routes.

Cashmo’s expression finally changed.

He could feel the terrifying force contained within those Javelins!

Every single Javelin was enough to pose a threat to his Green Dragon companion!

"ROAR!"

The Green Dragon also sensed the mortal danger. It let out a furious roar and abruptly opened its cavernous maw.

A thick, highly corrosive, dark green venom spewed from its mouth like a waterfall, meeting the rain of javelins.

TSSSSS...

A piercing sound rang out.

The moment the first few dozen Javelins at the front came into contact with the venom, the Refined Iron of their tips was rapidly corroded, turning into pools of molten iron.

But there were simply too many Javelins!

And the power behind the Giants’ throws was too immense!

The subsequent Javelins broke through the venom blockade. Although their momentum had lessened, they still carried astonishing power as they viciously stabbed toward the Green Dragon.

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK!

The Green Dragon’s tough scales, hard enough to block ordinary swords and blades, were still pierced by these custom-made Giant’s Javelins.

Over a dozen Javelins buried themselves deep in the Green Dragon’s body.

Some pierced its massive wing membranes, others plunged into its thick belly, and one even ran straight through its shoulder!

"AWOOOO!"

The Green Dragon let out a most wretched, blood-curdling shriek.

The intense pain, combined with the fast-acting poison of the "Sigh of the Giant Dragon" on the javelin heads, caused it to instantly lose control of its body.

Its massive body went rigid in mid-air, then plummeted straight down like a stone into the Mire Lake below.

"No!"

Cashmo let out a furious roar.

He never could have imagined that his proud companion would be shot down in such a way, in a single exchange.

BOOM!

A tremendous crash.

The Green Dragon’s massive body slammed heavily into the lake, sending up a sky-high splash of mud and poisoned water.

On the lake’s surface, all that remained was its twitching tail and a spreading pool of dark green blood.

This sudden turn of events brought the entire battlefield to a hush.

Everyone, from the fighting Thunder Dragon Knight Order to the Lords of the Northern Territory, stared at the scene, dumbfounded.

’A Domain Level Giant Dragon... was shot down just like that?’

’And by a group of Hill Giants with Javelins, no less?’

’This is too ridiculous!’

The instant the Green Dragon fell, Cashmo cast a spell similar to the Floating Technique, leaving himself hovering wretchedly in mid-air.
