Chapter 490 - 391: Duke VS Catastrophe Level Demon Serpent Avatar

Chapter 490: Chapter 391: Duke VS Catastrophe Level Demon Serpent Avatar

He looked down at the Green Dragon in its death throes, then glanced at the unscathed Giant Legion on the high ground. His eyes grew even more bloodshot.

"Humans!"

He hissed through gritted teeth.

Raylo had no time to waste on idle talk.

Seeing that Cashmo was still hovering in the sky, he laughed and raised his hand again.

"Kado! Don’t let him just hang there! Keep firing!"

"You got it!"

The Giants once again raised their javelins.

Seeing the dark points of the javelins aimed at him once more, Cashmo was scared out of his wits.

He no longer had the Green Dragon’s massive body to use as a shield. If one of those javelins hit him, it would run him straight through.

He didn’t dare hesitate for another second. He rapidly chanted a Spell as a gale erupted around him, whisking him away.

By the time he stopped, he was thousands of meters away, in the midst of the Lizardfolk army.

’Fast runner.’

Raylo pursed his lips and lowered his hand.

He turned to look at the Golden Dragon Sun not far away.

"Sun!"

"Yes, Lord!"

Sun let out a mighty roar.

"Go! Bring that heart back to me!"

"Watch me!"

Sun’s hundred-meter-long golden body shimmered dazzlingly in the daylight.

With one beat of his wings, he flew toward the Heart of the Giant Beast at the lake’s center, exuding an air of invincibility.

"Giant Legion! Ready!"

Raylo’s voice rang out.

"Anyone who dares get near Sun, riddle them with javelins!"

"ROAR!"

Over a hundred Hill Giants roared as one, slamming the butts of their javelins onto the ground with a series of heavy thuds. Their eyes swept across the battlefield, vigilant.

For a moment, not a single person or Demon dared to challenge the Giant Legion and its terrifying presence.

Victory seemed to be within reach.

However, just then, without any warning, the entire sky went dark.

A terrifying pressure, one that could make one’s very soul shudder, came crashing down from the northern sky!

The pressure was so immense, it felt as if the sky itself was caving in.

Everyone present—be they Human Knights, Lizardfolk, or even the Domain Level experts—felt a terror that struck them to their very souls.

Their bodies trembled uncontrollably, and it became hard to breathe, as if an invisible hand were crushing their throats.

Raylo snapped his head up and looked toward the northern sky.

He saw the horizon there consumed by a boundless expanse of thunderclouds.

Within the clouds, countless blue and violet serpents of electricity writhed and coiled, yet not a single sound escaped.

Silent thunder was far more terrifying than any roar.

In the center of the thunderclouds, a kilometer-long silhouette slowly took form.

It was a serpent.

A giant serpent composed entirely of Thunderbolt and Lightning.

Its body snaked and coiled, stretching beyond sight as if it spanned the entire horizon.

The head that emerged from the thunderclouds alone was larger than a small mountain.

The Nine-headed Demon Serpent!

A Catastrophe Level avatar, "Thunderbolthead"!

It was here!

Raylo’s heart lurched.

’I knew this thing would come sooner or later, but I never expected such a terrifying entrance. Experiencing this Sea of Thunderbolt firsthand, surging in from the horizon, was enough to suffocate a man. It felt as if fate itself had its hand wrapped around his throat.’

On the high ground, Aiden Duke’s expression was unprecedentedly grim.

He gazed at the Thunderboltous Giant Serpent in the sky, feeling the Catastrophe Level might that could obliterate anything in its path. He slowly exhaled.

"So, it’s finally here."

He turned to the Thunder Dragon Astra at his side.

"Old friend, are you ready?"

"ROAR!"

Astra let out a heaven-shaking roar. Far from showing fear, its golden draconic eyes burned with a ferocious will to fight.

As a powerhouse at the Domain Peak, it was just one step away from the Catastrophe Level.

’And this is my best chance to break through!’

"Good!"

Aiden Duke let out a great laugh, leaping into the air and landing steadily on Astra’s broad back.

Aiden Duke slapped the dragon’s back.

Astra beat its wings once, powerfully, and shot into the sky like a bolt of Lightning, charging headlong and without hesitation into the world-ending thundercloud.

The Thunderboltous Giant Serpent.

Its eyes, forged from pure lightning, glanced down dispassionately at the approaching Aiden Duke and Astra.

Then, it slowly opened its mouth.

BOOM!

A blue-violet Thunder Pillar, thicker than a mountain range, descended from the heavens. It carried with it the Power to annihilate all of creation as it smashed down fiercely toward Astra.

"Bring it on!"

Standing on the dragon’s back, Aiden Duke’s hair and beard flew wildly as an imperious, world-defying aura erupted from him.

"Frenzy Domain!"

"Thunderbolt Domain!"

Astra roared in response. A Domain, also composed of countless bolts of lightning, unfurled in an instant, shielding it and Aiden Duke within.

BOOM!

The torrent of countless lightning bolts crashed violently against the suddenly deployed Thunderbolt Domain.

The entire world lost all sound and color in that moment.

All that remained was an impossibly brilliant light and an energy storm powerful enough to rip space asunder.

Down on the battlefield, everyone was struck dumb by the god-like battle unfolding before them.

Raylo’s heart was in his throat.

’I know that the Duke and Lord Astra working together have the Power to contend with a Catastrophe Level being. But contending with one isn’t the same as defeating one. This is going to be an incredibly difficult fight.’
