Chapter 501 - 396: Are All Giant Dragons This Vengeful?

Chapter 501: Chapter 396: Are All Giant Dragons This Vengeful?

"Gyeh heh heh..."

The Dogman Wizard let out a grating laugh. Astride his mount, he hovered above Raylo’s army, looking down on everyone below with a condescending air.

"Humans, and Giants... I didn’t expect it to be so lively here."

His voice was hoarse and shrill, like fingernails scraping across glass—truly grating to the ears.

"However, you’re too late."

The Dogman Wizard pointed down at the Earth Dragon caves with his Bone Staff.

"This pack of Earth Dragons has already been claimed by our great master, His Majesty, the ’Black King.’"

"Now, take your men and get the hell out of here, and I’ll pretend I never saw a thing."

His tone was filled with arrogance and disdain.

"Otherwise, don’t blame me for turning you all into decorations for my staff!"

Arrogant!

Utterly, outrageously arrogant!

Ug and Gordo, the two hot-tempered Giants, immediately flew into a rage.

"You bastard! What did you say?!"

"Some hairy little mutt dares to talk to us like that? You’re asking to die!"

Roaring in fury, the two of them started to charge forward, ready to drag that obnoxious Dogman Wizard out of the sky.

Raylo raised a hand to stop them.

He had no desire to waste words on the chattering Dogman Wizard.

He turned to Kado at his side.

"Kado."

"Yes, my lord."

"Show him what true power looks like."

Kado broke into a wide grin.

"You got it, my lord!"

He took a step forward, drawing a javelin from his back.

"Gordo! Ug!"

"Here!"

The other two Domain Level Giants simultaneously drew their javelins.

Three Domain Level Giants, all over ten meters tall, stepped forward in unison.

BOOM!

Three torrents of suffocatingly powerful Domain Power erupted at once, instantly blanketing the entire valley.

In the sky, the smile on the face of the chattering Dogman Wizard, Kazak, froze solid.

His beady little eyes shot wide open.

"Th-Three... Domain Level!"

Fear made his voice shrill and distorted.

He could never have imagined that this unremarkable-looking human army was hiding three Domain Level Giants!

How is this possible?!

Kazak’s mind went blank, and a cold sweat instantly drenched the back of his magic robe.

Three Domain Level Giants!

Faced with this kind of power, forget him—even his master, the Black King, would have to think twice if he were here in person.

He couldn’t even muster a single threat; only one thought remained in his mind.

’Run!’

’I have to run, now! As far away as possible!’

But Kado and the others gave him no such chance.

"Die, you mutt!"

Kado roared like a thunderclap. His corded muscles bulged as he tensed, and the javelin in his hand transformed into a bolt of lightning. It shrieked as it tore through the air, shooting straight for Kazak.

Gordo and Ug unleashed their throws at almost the same time, and three javelins went whistling through the air.

Coming from three different angles, the javelins cut off all of Kazak’s possible escape paths.

The stench of death washed over him, making Kazak’s very soul shudder.

He tried to dodge, but Kado’s Gravity Domain made his body incredibly heavy. Even the flight speed of the Magical Beast beneath him slowed to a crawl.

"No!"

Kazak let out a despairing shriek.

At the precipice of life and death, he unleashed all of his potential.

He abandoned his mount—the massive Bat Dragon was too large to evade the attack. He rapidly chanted a spell, and a black mist enveloped him, allowing him to wrench himself free and "float" away.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The three dull thuds of the impacts into flesh rang out almost simultaneously.

Kazak’s majestic Tier Four Magical Beast mount was killed in mid-air by the three javelins before it could even let out a cry.

Having narrowly escaped with his life, Kazak reappeared in a sorry state hundreds of meters away, in the midst of the Kobold army’s formation.

He looked at the mangled corpse of his mount, then back at the three Giants on the ground, who looked like Demon Deities. He was scared out of his wits.

Not daring to linger for even a moment, he used every ounce of his strength to roar.

"Retreat! Retreat!"

Without a backward glance, he rode the black mist and fled frantically into the distance.

His thousands of Kobold subordinates had already been scared witless by the scene that just unfolded.

Upon hearing the command, as if granted a pardon, they all turned and scrambled over one another to follow their leader in a desperate escape.

They had arrived full of aggression, but they left like beaten dogs with their tails between their legs.

The entire exchange took less than a minute.

A battle that seemed on the verge of erupting ended just as quickly, in an almost comical fashion.

A thunderous cheer erupted from within Raylo’s army.

Kado and the other two, however, returned to their positions in the ranks as if nothing had happened.

To them, defeating such an opponent was no different than swatting away a few annoying flies.

"Nicely done."

Raylo smiled and nodded at them.

"Heh heh, it was nothing, my lord."

Kado scratched his head, smiling sheepishly.

’The flies have been dealt with. Now, it’s time for the real business.’

Raylo’s gaze returned to the cluster of caves on the ground.

"Ed, proceed as planned."

"Yes, my lord!"

Ed immediately gave the order. A contingent of Knights began gathering dry grass and leaves, which they used to build smoky fires at the entrances to the caves. They then fanned the thick smoke inside.
