Chapter 849: Chapter 563: Traveling with the Sage, Seeking the Truth of the Giant Dragon Realm

"Raylo, do you know the value of this heritage? It is enough for any faction to rise as the top overlord of the Continent within a century. And you’re just... handing it over like this?"

"In my hands, it might create a powerful army. But in the hands of Mage City, it can change the entire landscape of the war," Raylo said, his tone calm and resolute. "Speed is what we need most right now."

Austin Sage gazed at Raylo’s young face. Finally, he smiled in gratification.

"Good!" he declared solemnly, no longer declining the offer. "Mage City accepts your proposal for cooperation! This heritage will be one of our most important bargaining chips against Divine Authority!

"I promise you that once we successfully decipher it and achieve mass production, Mage City will provide you with enough Heritage Potions to arm three thousand Knights—free of charge!

"Furthermore, if we succeed in developing a Catastrophe Level Heritage Potion in the future, we will also provide you with five portions for free!"

A three-thousand-strong... Dragon Descendant Knight Order!

Even Raylo couldn’t help but feel his heart race at this promise. Such immense generosity!

"Thank you, Master," Raylo said sincerely.

"It is what you deserve," Austin Sage said. Acting decisively, his figure suddenly swayed slightly, and an Energy Avatar identical to himself stepped out of his body.

The avatar bowed slightly to Raylo and its main body, then carefully gathered the stack of Inheritance Stone Slabs. With a flash, it transformed into countless motes of light and vanished directly from the workshop hall. Evidently, it had returned to Mage City with the stone slabs at the very first opportunity.

After doing all this, Austin Sage’s main body finally breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Raylo. "Alright, now we can set off."

Raylo nodded, wasting no more time. He walked over to the stone wall beside the workshop hall that housed the Space Anchor Point to the Giant Dragon Realm.

HUM!

He reached out his hand, and the space in front of him vibrated violently. The next second, a spatial rift slowly emerged on the stone wall and gradually expanded.

The spatial passage to the Giant Dragon Realm was open!

"Let’s go."

Raylo took the lead and stepped into the rift, with Austin Sage following closely behind. As their figures completely disappeared, the pitch-black spatial rift slowly closed behind them.

HUM!

The dizzying sensation of spatial transition flashed by. The next moment, Magic Power and energy that were several times richer washed over their faces.

Austin Sage took a deep breath, a rare trace of intoxication appearing on his wrinkled, old face. "An unimaginable concentration of Magic Power. It is at least three to four times that of our world."

He looked around. "In such an environment, even an ordinary livestock could naturally advance to the Extraordinary Tier as long as it lives long enough. It is truly worthy of being the world that nurtured such top-tier miraculous creatures as the Giant Dragons."

Raylo nodded. They were currently standing in the central square of the Giant City-State. The towering architectural style was rugged and majestic, filled with a sense of primal Power.

It was Noon.

"Twin Suns in the sky..." Austin Sage did not pay much attention to the Hill Giants in the city; instead, he immediately looked up at the sky, a look of shock washing over his face.

High in the heavens, two Suns hung suspended—one gold, one white—radiating different types of light and heat. Two distinct types of brilliance intertwined in the sky yet did not merge. They remained entirely distinct, as if engaged in a silent confrontation.

"That golden Sun..." Austin Sage narrowed his eyes. "It seems you were right. I sense the aura of the Light Deity."

"Hmm?" Raylo’s heart skipped a beat. Even though he had already advanced to the Catastrophe Level, he still couldn’t directly perceive its essence like Austin Sage could.

"They are struggling against each other," Austin Sage continued, his tone carrying a trace of solemnity. "This is not the natural rotation of celestial bodies, but rather a... temporary equilibrium of plundering and devouring."

Hearing this, Raylo’s respect for the Sage deepened. Truly worthy of being one of the three Great Sages of Mage City. With just a single glance, he had seen through the undercurrents behind this wondrous spectacle.

"They are confronting each other, battling, fighting for the right to define the light and heat of this world."

Raylo followed his gaze, extending his Spiritual Power to its absolute limit. The two energies collided and tangled in the formless high altitudes, like two fighting Giant Beasts.

"The claws of the Light Deity have indeed reached into this world as well," Raylo said, his voice cold.

He had originally intended to first visit the master of this land, Great Elder Gu of the Giant City-State. However, when his vast Spiritual Power swept across the entire city-state like spilled mercury, he frowned slightly.

Within the city-state, there were dozens of Domain Level Giant auras, and a few had even reached the Domain Level Peak. Yet, the most ancient and unfathomably deep aura, which felt like a towering mountain, was missing. Great Elder Gu was not in the city-state.

"Perhaps the Great Elder is already in secluded cultivation, attempting to break through to the World Destruction Level," Raylo reasoned inwardly. "How could a world capable of nurturing Giant Dragons be easily defeated? This war has likely lasted for a very long time."

"Let’s go, Raylo." Austin Sage’s voice rang out just as Raylo was deep in thought. "Since we are here, we might as well head higher to see and confirm the true faces of those two ’Suns’ with our own eyes."

This was also one of Austin Sage’s objectives in coming to this world.

"Alright," Raylo nodded.

The next moment, Austin flicked his robe sleeves. The two of them simultaneously transformed into two streaks of light, shooting straight toward the end of the sky.

The earth rapidly shrank beneath their feet. The majestic Giant City-State turned into a tiny model, while the mountains and rivers morphed into mere textures on a sand table. The surrounding air grew increasingly thin, and the winds became fierce and turbulent.

A few minutes later, they reached an extreme altitude unattainable by Mortals. Further up, an invisible film seemed to envelop the entire world.

This was where the World Barrier lay.

"The World Barrier is the foundation of every world’s existence. It acts like an eggshell, protecting the world inside from the encroachment of the outer void. It isolates the chaotic void energy as well as foreign living beings," Austin Sage’s voice echoed by Raylo’s ear as he reached out a finger and tapped gently forward.

HUM!

The space ahead rippled in transparent, concentric circles, like a stone being tossed into a calm lake.

"For the native creatures within this world, this barrier can be passed through freely. But for outsiders like us..." Austin Sage glanced back at Raylo. "...once we step out, we will never be able to re-enter through our own Power. We would be completely rejected by the world. This is also the significance behind the Space Anchor Point."

Raylo understood perfectly. Without the Space Anchor Point connecting to the Giant Dragon Realm in Black Stone City, once they stepped out of this world now, they would never be able to pass through this World Barrier again.

Offering no further explanation, Austin Sage took a step forward. His figure seemed to seamlessly meld into water as he passed silently through the rippling barrier.

Raylo followed closely behind, taking a matching step forward.

There was no dizziness from a spatial passage, nor any tearing sensation typical of Teleportation. It simply felt as if he had walked out of a room and into a courtyard. However, the scene before his eyes instantly overturned his entire understanding of a "world."

There was no up or down here, no left or right, and not even the concept of the passage of time. Endless darkness served as the only backdrop, though it was not entirely empty. Wisps of gray, chaotic energy currents drifted sluggishly through the void. Further away, tiny specks of light twinkled—those were distant Stars.

This was the void.

The "outside" of the world.

Raylo subconsciously looked back. Behind him, a massive planet hung silently in the void. The surface of the glowing sphere was covered by a translucent "eggshell." That was the World Barrier.

Through this barrier, the vibrant world it encased could be clearly seen. Azure oceans, emerald forests, and rolling, earthen-yellow mountain ranges. The Giant Valley, where the Giant City-State was located, had now shrunk to the size of a single speck of dust on a sand table.
