Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 659 - 302: Instance: Magic Legend_2
There he was, just about to release his Divine Sense to check out the surrounding situation, when a giant beast appeared on the hillside before him.
Under the midday sunlight, a giant lizard nearly ten meters long, at least as high as two or three stories, emerged with extremely sturdy and powerful limbs.
Its vertical pupils, hidden behind thick earthy yellow scale armor, surveyed Lu Wenwu from above.
The giant lizard resembled the armadillo lizard of Blue Star’s South Africa, but the scale armor lacked the sharp menacing look and instead appeared somewhat smooth, like the beveled edges of a table.
This heavy scale armor stretched all the way to its robust tail.
Only at the base of the tail did blunt, spiky protrusions finally appear.
The giant lizard slammed its tail onto the ground abruptly, as if a heavy stick had smashed into the earth, producing a deep rumbling sound.
Having been a seasoned chef for many years, Lu Wenwu was very sure that this big thing in front of him was definitely interested in him, clearly considering him as lunch.
Using the True Dragon’s unique sense of smell, he took a sniff, inhaling a scent that ordinary creatures couldn’t detect.
It was the scent of bloodline.
Lu Wenwu had once extracted the Demon Dragon Wings from some unlucky guy, and initially merged with the essence of a Western Giant Dragon.
Even though they were later replaced by Nether Yin Dragon Wings, he wasn’t unfamiliar with this scent.
"Tsk, so this is the Legendary Sub-dragon? Looks like this should be a sword and magic Western Fantasy world." Lu Wenwu’s lips curved into a smile, "Perfect, today’s a good day to change flavors, so I’ll eat you."
It seemed that the Sub-dragon sensed Lu Wenwu’s intention, and it suddenly let out an extremely furious dragon roar.
Its entire body was like a fully operating bulldozer, rushing straight at him like a ferocious tiger descending a mountain.
"Your purity seems to be lacking..."
Lu Wenwu stood still, simply extending a hand, palm open in front of him.
The Sub-dragon roared again, its sprinting speed even slightly faster.
At the same time, the scales on its body began to emit an earthy yellow light; its originally impressive Defense became even thicker, and its impact force was even more terrifying.
Now it was like an indestructible Invincible Warhammer!
"Boom!"
When the Sub-dragon collided with Lu Wenwu’s palm, the intense sound and mournful cries immediately echoed together.
Lu Wenwu didn’t move an inch, his arm still stretched out like that.
Meanwhile, the coming Sub-dragon had fallen to the ground, its neck seemed to have broken, its skull was deeply sunken, evidently more air going out than coming in.
Lu Wenwu squatted down and gently patted the giant head of the Sub-dragon.
"See, I told you your purity wasn’t sufficient."
As he spoke, he snapped off a sharp, sturdy fang from the Sub-dragon’s mouth and aimed it at an unarmored eye.
"Calm down, feeling blackouts and shortness of breath is normal, I’m quite an authority in this. Just wait a little, it won’t be very painful."
Just as Lu Wenwu was about to use the Sub-dragon’s fang to end its suffering, suddenly, a shout burst out from behind him.
"Drop the weapon, you are under arrest! Damn poacher, dare to illegally hunt the Earth Hammer Dragon, you have guts! Get ready to lose everything as a fine!"
Along with it came a dazzling red light.
Lu Wenwu didn’t sense any crisis from that red light, so he pretended not to react and didn’t dodge, allowing the opponent to hit him.
He felt a slight tingle in his arms, like someone had struck a nerve.
Plus, there was a force trying to knock the fang out of his hand.
This is magic?
Why does this magic have such an odd effect?
It feels a bit familiar, but he forgot where he saw it.
Lu Wenwu pondered briefly and willingly released the fang from his hand, letting it fall to the ground.
Meanwhile, accompanied by a few strange syllables, three consecutive red beams flew over.
This time, the hit Lu Wenwu felt a somewhat mild dizziness.
Soul Magic?
Is this top-notch stuff really common in this world?
After brief contemplation, Lu Wenwu pretended to faint, ready to see what kind of mage this world had.
Under the probe of Divine Sense, four Masters of Magic wearing Magic Robes, each holding a small wand of different materials as if it were a gun, cautiously emerged from behind the trees, always pointing at him feigning unconsciousness.
"He took three Sleep Spells; he definitely won’t wake up for ten minutes. Do we need to be so cautious?" asked one mage.
"It doesn’t hurt to be careful."
The elder mage who shouted and attacked first gestured to the others to continue to be vigilant and brought the only female mage forward to check.
"These cowardly poachers don’t dare undertake real adventures and always steal in our experimental zone! Damn it, if we hadn’t happened to patrol here, he would’ve succeeded!"
Cursing under his breath, the elder mage stood sideways, raised his right hand halfway and pointed his Magic Staff at Lu Wenwu’s chest.
His left hand kept searching Lu Wenwu and quickly touched him up and down.
Soon he furrowed his brows deeply and muttered, "No Magic Staff, this guy isn’t a wizard. No Longsword, shouldn’t be a knight. No Bow, not a hunter? This frame doesn’t fit a thief either. Damn it, why doesn’t he have any Equipment or items?"
"More concerning than this is the problem with the Earth Hammer Dragon."
The female mage kept searching the Sub-dragon’s head and neck, with a faint white light swirling at the tip of her Magic Staff, constantly releasing the Power of Life.
"Lower right fang broken, forehead flesh torn, skull fractured one-third, brain severely injured, brain tissue bleeding, neck completely broken, shattered fracture... I can’t imagine such injuries appearing on an Earth Hammer Dragon."
"Injured like this?" The elder mage was stunned, "No, injured like this and not dead?"
"That’s definitely strange; the aorta and trachea are untouched." The female mage spoke curiously, "Even the broken bones remain in their original place, except for the irreversible damage to part of the brain tissue."
Of course.
Although Lu Wenwu hadn’t moved on the surface, he slightly controlled the transmission of force when the opponent crashed into him.
Breaking the neck without external injury would prevent blood from splattering inside, affecting meat quality and taste.
Bone fragments would increase cooking trouble and dining experience, naturally, they can’t be allowed to fly and lodge into flesh recklessly.
"Could it be that a giant mastering Fighting Spirit or one of those rough dwarves injured this Earth Hammer Dragon? This ordinary-looking guy was just lucky?"
The elder mage furrowed his brows even tighter.
"Johnny, report this matter and ask the higher-ups to send people to assist, wait here and help Louise stabilize the dragon’s injuries. Leonato, lock up this damn poacher, we’ll take him to prison!"
Lu Wenwu: I have no objection.
Going to prison would be fine; it should be the fastest way to contact the transcendent beings of this world.
Besides, prisons are great places for Enlightenment Dao, full of high-level talent from various industries; there must be plenty of insider and miscellaneous news.
Now Lu Wenwu urgently needs to understand this seemingly odd Western Fantasy World.
I get it, but why do the Masters of Magic here use those little wands like in Harry Potter?
He finally recalled where that strange familiarity came from.
Wasn’t that "Fell unconscious" and "other than your stuff" just now?
So, the Masters of Magic in this world are from the Harry Potter version?
