Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 660 - 303: Thanks for the Invitation—In Prison, Getting Ready to Enroll
In a completely enclosed room, a somewhat glaring white magic lamp hung alone from the ceiling, barely illuminating the interrogation chamber inscribed with more than a dozen magic arrays.
Or perhaps...
It only illuminated the interrogated.
The interrogator sat in a somewhat dim chair, with a menacing look.
"Your name!"
"Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God."
Lu Wenwu lazily lounged in the chair, eyes half-closed, looking as if he was about to fall asleep.
"Age!"
"Hmm, in my twenties, I’m not exactly sure how to calculate it, but I shouldn’t be over thirty."
"Address!"
"Wandering, at ease wherever."
"Which country are you from?"
"I don’t know, I’ve been wandering all this time."
"Do you know what crime you committed!"
"How many times has this been repeated? I really don’t know, I wandered to your place, how would I know what laws you have here."
Lu Wenwu’s obviously "perfunctory" attitude immediately made the interrogator a bit exasperated.
He slammed his fist on the table in front of him, pounding the iron tabletop to thunderous sounds, akin to an enraged lion.
Lu Wenwu was quite accustomed to this.
After all, it’s not the first time he spoke the truth but the other party refused to believe him, nothing special.
The interrogator’s patience seemed to have reached its limit. He suddenly stood up, forcefully leaning on the table, leaning directly in front of Lu Wenwu, staring straight at him.
"You damned bastard, why did you attempt to slay a dying Earth Hammer Dragon in the testing zone! How did you get in! Who are your accomplices! Come clean with me!"
"No accomplices, I don’t even know how I wandered there, that Sub-dragon wanted to eat me, and coincidentally, I was hungry, so I thought of slaughtering it, grilling the four legs, stewing the ribs, boiling the entrails and vertebrae for soup."
Lu Wenwu’s expression was very genuine, focusing on sincerity.
But evidently, the interrogator didn’t think so.
He was now becoming defensive.
From seven days ago until now, he and his colleagues had been interrogating this damned poacher in shifts, yet there hadn’t been a single bit of progress.
Even though they had utilized some relatively inhumane methods, including but not limited to—water deprivation, food deprivation, not allowing rest, torturous magic shackles...
Yet this damned guy, who self-proclaimed as the Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God, remained completely unfazed!
After three days of not eating, drinking, sleeping, or resting, his mental state seemed even stronger than the interrogators in the prison!
How can this be justified?
Just now, they even used the Truth Potion, only permitted when confronting truly vicious and extraordinary criminals.
Yet what he said remained the same as what he had repeated for the entire seven days!
Almost unchanged!
Thus, the current mood of these interrogators was imaginable.
Soon, Lu Wenwu was taken back to his designated dormitory—a medium-sized cell accommodating twelve people, and all imprisoned were serious offenders.
Normally, poachers shouldn’t be held here.
Nevertheless, considering Lu Wenwu’s boldness in infiltrating the entire Jade Empire’s official Magic Beast Testing Ground for poaching, he clearly wasn’t an ordinary person, thus he was exceptionally detained here.
As per the results that he had just openly eavesdropped on, those defensive interrogators planned to label him as a lunatic who had gone berserk due to a mishap in cultivating Fighting Spirit.
However, even though this place could be considered a relatively civilized extraordinary society, it evidently doesn’t have the concept of guaranteeing absolute human rights like Blue Star.
Even a lunatic cannot be exempted, breaking the law means being caught, and then receiving corresponding punishment.
According to the Jade Empire’s legal system, failed poaching results in a minimum five-year sentence, along with a hefty fine, plus the healing cost for the Earth Hammer Dragon.
Poverty-stricken individuals like Lu Wenwu would need to serve as free labor for the prison to offset their fines.
"Damn lunatic, get ready to enjoy your sentence properly!"
The interrogator said through gritted teeth, viciously.
"The inmates here will teach you how to be a man!"
"Bang!"
The heavy door of the prison closed, the outside world completely isolated behind the thick magic sect.
No doubt the interrogator would be disappointed.
Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God returned to his loyal Dragon Nest.
He was greeted by eleven faces with sycophantic smiles.
Alongside their varied wicked aura, the scene looked somewhat absurd.
Evidently, within these seven days, Lu Wenwu had already instructed his roommates on how to be human.
It’s his specialty to win over others through virtue.
Lu Wenwu casually dismissed these sycophants, lying on the best bed in the entire cell to rest his eyes, recalling the information he had gathered.
The foremost certainty was that this world was fundamentally inclined towards a Western fantasy style.
Most classic magic races and cultivation systems were present, except that mages differed slightly from the Masters of Magic in his memory, but others were largely similar.
The current place he was in was situated in the west of the Gods Continent, the Jade Empire, an immensely vast super nation; simultaneously, there were at least over a hundred various-sized countries across the continent.
Despite the abundant martial virtue of the Jade Empire, domestic stability was relatively maintained, and even Transcendents weren’t allowed to kill indiscriminately, the classic gangster cultivation was absent.
