Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 661 - 303: Thanks for the Invite, I’m in Prison, Preparing to Enroll_2
When Lu Wenwu first learned this, he was quite impressed.
In a worldview like this, maintaining a relatively stable nation requires not just progressive ideas but absolute strength.
When individual power can outweigh numbers, force becomes the absolute core, the paramount condition for realizing everything.
It’s truly remarkable that the Jade Empire has managed this.
Of course, since this is a Western fantasy worldview, with a straightforward name like Gods Continent, belief in gods and the like in various churches is naturally indispensable.
For example, the cellmates often believe in gods such as the God of Gold Coins, God of Wealth, God of Slaughter, God of Darkness, God of Theft, and other gods that sound rather criminal.
Lu Wenwu certainly wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to inquire about the gods, which seemed related to the main quest.
He pretended to be an atheist and discussed gods and magic with his cellmates.
Although these cellmates were initially puzzled, later, under his earnest inquiries, with his profound virtue, they candidly shared their insights.
Two people firmly believe in the existence of gods, having received enlightenment and guidance from them, and felt the gaze of the gods during prayer.
Others scoffed at this, thinking they were out of their minds.
If gods exist, why is there no historical record in the Jade Empire, one of the oldest countries on the Gods Continent?
Besides, those churches that believe in various gods certainly can perform unique divine arts.
But transcendents from other cultivation systems can also produce unique effects, it’s not like you’re the only special one.
So, the cellmates generally consider these divine arts to be no different from what mages, knights, thieves, or other systems produce, just with a different name.
Hmm...
Where should we go next?
Should I try visiting the largest mage school at Jade Academy?
If the spell-casting here is similar to ’Harry Potter,’ then this magic academy should be the Hogwarts here?
Just as Lu Wenwu was contemplating where to go after being released, whether to expand his network here before leaving, the recently closed door was suddenly pulled open... with a small gap.
"Swish!"
A pair of eyes glared at Lu Wenwu lying grandly on the bed, as if about to emit fire.
"9527! Get up immediately!"
Hearing the familiar number, Lu Wenwu froze on the bed, flipped over and looked around.
He wanted to see which guy was so impressive, having such a classic number.
But he realized, the cellmates all turned their eyes towards him.
"Damn it! 9527, what are you still dawdling for!"
The door was slammed open, and a menacing prison warden, wearing light armor and with a large sword at his waist, stormed in, heading straight for Lu Wenwu.
Lu Wenwu looked down at the number on his chest and exclaimed ’666’ in astonishment.
was actually himself.
He was a bit confused as he got down from the bed, not knowing what these guys were planning to do.
"Follow me!"
The fierce-looking warden left these words, then turned around and left, not even checking if Lu Wenwu was following.
Lu Wenwu was puzzled, trailing closely behind.
The two walked in silence, winding through at least a dozen doors.
Looking at the scene before him, Lu Wenwu increasingly felt something was off.
Why were they taking him to the front door?
His crime was sentenced to a maximum of five years, not enough to transfer to another prison, right?
He glanced at the heavy prison door and tentatively asked, "Excuse me, if I’m not mistaken, this seems to be the way out?"
The warden remained silent, violently yanking the magic shackles limiting his body’s extraordinary power, pulling him all the way to the prison entrance.
Then he took out a key to remove the shackles, took down the plaque with "9527," and shoved Lu Wenwu out the prison door with a mighty push.
Along with it, a gold-embossed envelope was stuffed into his hands.
"Get lost! You’ve just been released on no charge!"
The warden cursed and left, leaving Lu Wenwu at the prison entrance bewildered, clutching an envelope.
He looked at the envelope in his hand, which bore gold-embossed script:
Addressed to Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God, outside Jade Empire’s Imperial Fourth Prison entrance.
"Huh?"
Lu Wenwu was even more bewildered.
Everyone he knew in this world was still serving time in prison, who would send him a letter?
Even more puzzled, he broke open the exquisite wax seal and took out the letter inside.
[Dear Mr. Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God]
[We are pleased to inform you that you have been granted admission to the Magick Wizard Academy, with the term starting on September 1st. We await your reply within fifteen days from receipt of this letter. If you need assistance, tear this letter in half, and we will dispatch someone to reach you within a certain time. Please try to wait at the original location.]
[Academy Head, Fiery Sun God·Douglas]
[Sincerely]
Lu Wenwu: "??????"
He felt truly at a loss now.
No way, Gomen.
It really is a Otherworld Hogwarts?
But at his age, he can still be admitted to a magic academy, which is quite beyond comprehension.
Is this destiny?
Just thinking of visiting, and the admission letter arrived.
Lu Wenwu pondered and decided to see what this Magick Magic Academy was about, so he tore the letter open and waited quietly at his location.
About ten minutes later, he suddenly sensed a spatial fluctuation.
"Crack!"
A clear sound emerged, and a middle-aged man in a wizard robe, looking very cordial, appeared before Lu Wenwu.
He felt very surprised.
Because he hadn’t sensed the spatial fluctuations typical of a space tunnel.
How did he get here?
[Space Truth·Soriano (S+): 100000/100000]
[Cultivation]: Space System Ninth Ring Arcanist
[Current State]: Cordial, Excited, Enthusiastic, Arcane Defense
[Analysis]: Vice President of Magick Wizard Academy and Arcane Academy, intrigued by your unique identity and circumstances, now preparing to greet you.
Lu Wenwu swears, this was the most fragile, shortest blood-bars S Tier he’s ever seen!
No contest!
Though it’s well known that mages are frail, isn’t this a bit too glass cannon-like?
Lu Wenwu even suspected that without using Arcane for defense, even an ordinary person with no extraordinary power could use hot weapons to kill him.
Soriano hadn’t noticed Lu Wenwu had analyzed him.
He simply smiled warmly, leaving a refreshing feeling, and proactively greeted Lu Wenwu.
"Hello, Mr. Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God. I am the Vice President of Magick Wizard Academy and Arcane Academy. You may call me Professor Soriano. I represent the Magick Magic Academy in welcoming your enrollment."
"... You can simply call me Tyrannosaurus." Lu Wenwu scratched his head, "Actually, is it possible someone around my age can attend school at this academy? Moreover, I don’t have money to pay tuition."
"Certainly, Magick welcomes all mages and arcanists regardless of age or background, regardless of wealth," Soriano replied with a smile, "I assume Mr. Tyrannosaurus is not a native of the empire?"
"Yes, I arrived here accidentally and was jailed because I didn’t understand the laws here," Lu Wenwu answered truthfully, "How did you know?"
"The Wisdom Pyramid inside the Magic Academy detects everyone in the Jade Empire who is unregistered yet possesses talents in magic or arcane, precisely locating them," Soriano said, "We discovered you seven days ago, and the investigation, gathering evidence, and submitting the no-charge application took some time."
Lu Wenwu: "..."
I swear, it’s a super live map, obelisk edition!
