The window opened, allowing the sea breeze to flow in, carrying a moist and salty scent. Jin sat on the windowsill, humming a tune, with her boot-clad feet dangling outside, covered in a layer of silvery light, gentler than frost and cooler than lamplight.

"The world is really so peaceful and calm, it makes me a bit nostalgic for the past."

She turned her head back, revealing one blue and one red eye, strikingly clear in the dim light.

Su Changxing also looked towards the sea, vaguely seeing the lighthouse’s light, and shook his head: "This world isn’t as peaceful as it seems on the surface, after all, it’s shrouded by the White Ice Illusion Mist, making frightening disasters possible at any time."

Shen Jinxuan sighed with a hint of regret: "That’s a bit of a pity."

It’s a pity that such tranquility would be broken, just as all beautiful things eventually wither.

Su Changxing savored the gentle fragrance, leaning by the window, fiddling with a ponytail of blue hair in his hand, and softly said: "That’s probably the nature of things, which is indeed regretful... Has your hair grown longer?"

"Ah, has it?" Jin shook her head, curiously looking, obviously unaware of it herself.

Su Changxing looked outside and said: "Let’s go down for a walk and see this city, we may not have another chance later."

"Alright." After saying that, Jin jumped out of the window, startling the pedestrians outside, who quickly avoided her.

"What are you doing? You scared the life out of me!" A man with himself wrapped tightly was evidently shaken.

Jin made a funny face and said fiercely: "Mind your own business!"

The man felt a jolt in his heart, immediately sensing something amiss, and slipped away quickly, feeling uneasy in Jin’s presence, like ants crawling over his skin.

Su Changxing came out of the inn, seeing this scene, and showed a helpless expression: "These people are just ordinary people, you shouldn’t scare them to death."

Jin muttered: "So fragile."

Su Changxing led him along the street in the direction of the church, visiting his own church; it felt strange, as no Divine Spirit would probably visit their own church.

Jin saw the statue at the top of the church from afar, then turned to glance at Su Changxing, showing a pondering expression: "Is that you?"

Although completely different, she could recognize at a glance that the statue depicted Su Changxing.

Su Changxing nodded: "Yes."

Jin wasn’t surprised, but instead, she commented: "It doesn’t look like you at all."

The church wasn’t crowded, with only a young female priest present. Upon seeing Su Changxing and Jin entering, she broke into a smile. Though there was an All Beings Sect church in this city, the followers were ultimately too few.

"Are you two looking to join us?" The female priest stepped forward and asked with a full smile, her attitude quite peaceful.

Su Changxing shook his head: "No, we’re just here to have a look."

The female priest earnestly said: "Becoming a follower of the Master grants the Master’s protection, for both the soul and the body."

Su Changxing nodded to show he understood and smiled: "Do you have many followers in this city?"

"Not many." The female priest asserted confidently: "The Master’s light has shone upon this land, and the number of followers will grow."

Su Changxing gazed at the statue but sensed something unusual; part of the faith flowed to him, while another part dissipated elsewhere, as if vanishing into the void.

Is someone blatantly stealing faith? And in such a remote location.

The female priest continued: "Even if you’re not followers, you can still pray to the statue to find solace in your heart."

Master Jin looked at the female priest in astonishment, "You want him to worship himself!"

"Hmm?" The female priest was momentarily taken aback, not understanding Jin’s words.

Su Changxing lightly patted Jin on the head: "Don’t speak nonsense."

He didn’t want to frighten this young priest. Divine Spirits should be lofty and maintain a sense of mystery, not suddenly appear before people, especially not within a church.

The priest still hadn’t realized anything unusual. It wasn’t until after Su Changxing and Jin had left that she subconsciously turned to look at the statue behind her, eyes widening in realization. She hurried outside the church but could no longer see Su Changxing’s figure.

"Impossible, right? How could the Master come to such a remote place?" She muttered, convincing herself.

Su Changxing illuminated the church statue with faith, expanding the statue’s influence. In time, more followers should emerge in the city.

What concerned him more was the individual stealing faith in secret. To utilize faith, one must at least be on the Tier Four level, so their strength wouldn’t be weak, likely being some non-human entity.

Su Changxing and Jin strolled around the bustling part of the city, noticing that the number of people also indicated decent public security. Many vendors were selling exotic overseas trinkets, bone armor, sea stones, and newly emerging technological creations from the Wodan Empire.

Since Eric gained fame in the Empire, the Wodan Empire has been leading the world’s technological advancements, far ahead of other countries in terms of technology, including guns, ships, trams, and even airships.

But the winds at sea are too strong, so airships can’t yet replace ships, being usable only inland.

The surrounding regions, especially the nations bordering the Wodan Empire, are also changing, with steam-powered ships and factories.
