Global Game: I Have Portable Store
Chapter 892 - 245: Immortal
Su Changxing awoke abruptly, feeling his own existence being forcibly erased bit by bit.
This method was akin to antivirus software, disregarding the target’s life force or any other ability to kill it.
His flesh was gradually assimilated by the white text and dissipated into the air.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Su Changxing no longer held back and detonated the plague he had long spread around the space and on Wanfang.
In an instant.
The scene in this world changed drastically, filled with green phosphorescence, as if countless tiny bugs were swimming within.
"What is this!" Wanfang’s eyes widened, suddenly feeling much weaker, his skin rapidly decaying.
"Is this a plague? It can erode my body."
He realized the severity; as a Saint, his body was already immune to a hundred poisons and diseases, but now it was collapsing bit by bit under the influence of the plague.
The plague could affect a Saint like Wanfang, but certainly, its effects would be considerably reduced. So, Su Changxing spent dozens of hours continuously spreading the plague into this space, attempting to overwhelm Wanfang in this way and seize the final victory.
Wanfang’s methods were also beyond his expectations and could possibly kill him, even if he had a clone.
"Useless, you will soon die by my hand."
Wanfang disregarded the plague on him, instead desperately exerting power to kill Su Changxing as quickly as possible. Once he succeeded, some issues would naturally be resolved.
Su Changxing maximized the expansion of his domain, making everything around it extremely slow, except for the plague that continued to move freely, deepening its erosion on Wanfang and continuously weakening his power.
Once again, the collision of domains caused the space to fracture densely. This time, Su Changxing completely gained the upper hand, the plague significantly weakening Wanfang’s power, including his mastery of the rules.
The outcome was still uncertain; most of Su Changxing’s body had already disappeared, decomposed by white text and no longer restored.
This was probably an erasure of existential significance, extremely perilous, equivalent to referencing some substantive rules.
The stakes were fine, with victory and defeat only a hair’s breadth apart.
Wanfang’s eyes flashed red, exerting power again, causing more white text to appear in the space, floating like mist and spreading.
Su Changxing sensed impending doom, his body accelerating in decomposition, transforming into a white light within seconds, disappearing from the spot, seemingly murdered.
The mist-like white text in the sky did not disappear, nor did the bug-like green phosphorescence.
Wanfang showed a look of surprise, feeling that he had erased Su Changxing, yet somehow still felt that Su Changxing was alive.
The so-called Withered Bone Godslaying Curse was a secret technique created by former Saints with Divine Spirits as hypothetical enemies, mobilizing spatial erasure rules through the past powers to forcibly kill an enemy, ignoring its strong life force and any defensive abilities.
The cost of using this secret technique was significant, requiring at least a Saint’s withered bone as a prerequisite and greatly reducing one’s own lifespan.
Reducing lifespan wasn’t much of an issue since Saints live long lives, losing some wasn’t a big deal.
The main issue was the Saint’s withered bone, using one and having one less, and getting entangled with malevolent thoughts.
Su Changxing thought he was dead, yet in a daze, found himself again, in a dark world without light, with only faint and fluctuating howls.
After his main body was erased, his consciousness fully transferred to the clone.
Carrying a backpack, he ran all the way to an abandoned convenience store and stopped, hiding inside like a human; there were three or four other zombies inside.
Ruthlessly, he drove them all out of the store before sitting on the dusty ground, opening the backpack to see what was inside.
Inside were some food, a rusty dagger, and a black crystal.
The crystal was somewhat similar to an Extraordinary Crystal, but likely wasn’t one; he could clearly sense the strange energy contained within.
Currently, he was just a regular zombie, without any abilities from the main body, unable to analyze what this thing was, relying only on perception to judge.
Eat it.
A thought suddenly emerged in Su Changxing’s mind, possibly his body’s instincts reminding him.
Other zombies had no brains, acting purely on instinct. Zombies, in essence, are instinctually driven creatures.
However, he was not a brainless zombie and would not act entirely on instinct; at the moment, with the main body being erased, it was better to be cautious. Doing something careless that gets the clone killed would mean real death.
Su Changxing stuffed a few pieces of biscuits into his mouth, chewing them but tasting nothing, casually tossing them aside. He held the dagger in hand and put the black crystal into a pocket.
He sat quietly in the corner of the convenience store, motionless, carefully sensing the surrounding movements.
He didn’t need to do anything more, just staying alive could allow the main body to resurrect again.
This seemed like a very simple thing.
...
"Oh, by the way. I forgot to tell you, I’m immortal!"
Su Changxing’s voice resounded again, echoing in this space.
Wanfang’s methods were insufficient to kill him, just slightly lacking, possibly needing erasure on the level of antivirus software to completely kill him.
"Why!"
Wanfang’s face changed drastically, seeing a blurred figure appear before him again, unable to believe that Su Changxing could not be killed by him, it was terrifying.
It was like chopping someone into mincemeat with a knife, only to find that person standing before you unharmed the next day.
First the mouth, then the whole face, then the entire body, Su Changxing seemed to appear out of thin air, resurrected.
Such an immortal ability was absolutely bug-level, akin to finding a loophole in life and death, triggering such a loophole for endless resurrections, even without any cost.
Compared to the undead creatures, he was more like a genuine undead.
Wanfang, although shocked, immediately cast the Withered Bone Godslaying Curse on Su Changxing again, believing not that Su Changxing was immortal; if not killable once, then kill twice; if not twice, then thrice, until killed.
Domains clashed again, Su Changxing swung over three thousand blades, cutting off Wanfang’s left hand’s palm.
Yet his body was erased again, largely dissipating into white mist in the air.
...
Su Changxing sat quietly in the convenience store until sensing footsteps approaching from outside, with zombies on the nearby street reacting and charging over.
With the sound of blades slicing into flesh, they were all dealt with, collapsing onto the street.
He reckoned that it was probably a formidable human passing by; he remained motionless, assuming as long as the person didn’t enter the store, they wouldn’t notice him.
There was nothing in the abandoned convenience store except for dust on the floor and empty pockets.
Comparing his initial arrival with Changxing and the others, resources were more scarce, with barely any food to be found.
The footsteps grew closer and closer.
A male voice was heard.
"Let’s check inside to see if there’s anything."
