The War Paladins immediately fell back to protect the remaining Holy Archers, escorting them to the position between themselves and the Giant Shield Guards.

In a fit of desperation, he commanded the Wisdom Priests to cast the wide-area spell "Sacrifice."
A sacred energy enveloped the sky and ground around them, inflicting a continuous, divine burn on all enemy units within its range.

This area-of-effect damage was exactly what the Highly Poisonous Bees feared. They were quickly burned out of the sky, falling to the ground as dried husks.
The commander then glanced at the open ground between his position and the front line and sent a message to the Holy Archers there.

They tried to re-enter stealth but found there were no longer any shadows to hide in.
Knowing they were doomed, the Shadow Reapers decided to make one last contribution and charged the nearest Wisdom Priests.
However, they were intercepted by the surrounding Temple Guards. While these guards had been largely ineffective against the bees, they now displayed their true mastery.
Though clad in heavy armor, they were as nimble as swallows, their speed equal to—if not greater than—that of the Shadow Reapers.
Moreover, the Temple Guards’ martial prowess was exceptional; they easily dodged or parried every attack the Shadow Reapers launched.
Their attack power was also incredibly high; with a swing of their swords, they could unleash Sword Qi. This Sword Qi had extreme penetrative power, easily piercing the Shadow Reapers’ leather armor. Some of the higher-level Temple Guards could even unleash a single wave of Sword Qi that could pierce two or three enemies at once.
The Shadow Reapers were completely stunned. They were already of a lower tier than the Temple Guards, and they weren’t units designed for frontal assaults. While their attack power was high, their other stats were average, and they usually relied on surprise attacks to be effective.
This direct confrontation immediately made them suffer bitterly.
Furthermore, the moment the Shadow Reapers were revealed, the Holy Archers on the front line launched their assault.
Having lost so many comrades to these assassins from the shadows, the Holy Archers despised them.

In just a minute or two, every single one of the revealed Shadow Reapers had been annihilated.
Amuti had just seen his Shadow Reapers achieve a major victory, while the Highly Poisonous Bees pinned down the enemy Priests and Heavy Armor Warriors. He was about to order a full-scale attack to finish off the Giant Shield Guards and War Paladins, but in the next moment, everything changed.
The Highly Poisonous Bees were wiped out by the Priests’ abilities.
The Shadow Reapers were forced out of stealth and then utterly slaughtered.
Now, all he had left were his Withered Messengers, Steel-backed Porcupines, and Spiny Porcupines.
’Alas, it seems we’re going to lose this battle,’ Amuti thought. ’But even if we can’t win, we won’t let you have an easy time of it!’
Amuti decided to order a full-scale charge, hoping to inflict more casualties on the enemy while his forces still had some fight left in them.
The commander of the Golden Corps saw the Third Legion’s intention. However, his blood was up as well, and he personally led the Temple Guards to the front line.
The two sides clashed head-on once more.
This time, even without the enemy Holy Archers focusing their fire, the Steel-backed Porcupines could barely hold on.

Without the Steel-backed Porcupines holding the front line, the Spiny Porcupines and Withered Messengers were also quickly wiped out.
