Chapter 507: Arriving at the Ore Vein

‘Alright, time to start unlocking things.’

Void Energy was consumed, and one by one, new technologies lit up.

“Energy Conversion” and “Energy Condensation” were both part of the Undead Race’s most orthodox Spiritual Technology. They involved the Void, but only at a fundamental level.

However, Li Ziyu’s previous research had focused on the Undead Race’s Mechanical Technology. He had barely touched Spiritual Technology, so developing it now would consume a great deal of resources and time.

As the technologies were unlocked, more and more things appeared before Li Ziyu. He was amazed to discover that Spiritual Technology was even more powerful than he had imagined.

Take the Void aspect of Spiritual Technology, for example. In the later stages of Void Spiritual Technology, creating rifts to travel through space was considered a trivial matter.

They could directly create a Void Gate to completely link two realms. It was equivalent to a Wormhole that could be opened and closed at will. It was highly controllable and extremely safe, a perfect tool for transporting armies.

And these were just minor gadgets. He even saw schematics for Floating Battleships and Floating Fortresses.

But all of that was a distant dream. Li Ziyu didn’t even know if he’d ever get the chance to develop them. After all, he couldn’t even build a single cannon yet.

He possessed an entire Undead Fortress, but it didn’t have a single main cannon.

He had developed a whole host of unit types, but he hadn’t managed to create any true strategic weapons.

Time flew by as he focused on his research in seclusion. A month had passed by the time Li Ziyu finished working on “Energy Conversion” and “Energy Condensation.”

The full names of these two items were “Energy Conversion Core” and “Energy Condensation Core.”

The Great Lich who invented the Energy Condensation Core felt he was much smarter than the Great Lich who invented the Energy Conversion Core. After all, the free-floating Soul Energy from the conversion process couldn’t be used directly. P.S. Li Ziyu’s mouth twitched as he read the P.S. on the Energy Condensation Core’s description.

‘This is getting more and more ridiculous.’

The Kryptonite and Helium Stone in the requirements were both companion minerals found in Void Energy Crystal Ore Veins. The Undead had gathered quite a lot of them while collecting Void Energy Crystal Stones, so Li Ziyu had enough to use.

He built one of each.

The two cores looked similar, both spherical in shape. The only difference was that one was encased in Kryptonite and the other in Helium Stone. Both were driven by a Spiritual Core.

Li Ziyu activated the Energy Conversion Core with great curiosity.

Upon activation, the Energy Conversion Core immediately left Li Ziyu’s palm and floated into the air. It formed a special gravitational field with an attractive pull around the sphere, absorbing the free-floating Soul Energy from its surroundings.

‘Tsk, this thing looks so simple. Just as expected of the Undead’s Spiritual Technology—so simple and crude.’

He thought for a moment, then activated the Energy Condensation Core as well.

Unlike the Energy Conversion Core, the Energy Condensation Core transformed into something like a ball of lightning. It hovered in the air, forcefully snatching the free-floating Soul Energy that had been gathered by the Energy Conversion Core.

Li Ziyu observed for a moment, and then it all clicked.
