Goblin Dependency
Chapter 1271 - 624: Suppressed Brutality, Decisive Overpower
Frogon watched from a nearby hill. To maintain his image in the Barbarian’s mind, Xia Nan certainly couldn’t let his inner desires run wild.
Frankly speaking, from Suo Yu Bay to Salt Rock Port, he did feel quite repressed.
The dull sailing life went without saying. When finally reaching the port, he found that the Barbarian he had agreed to meet there had already left, forcing him to set off immediately after a brief rest in the town.
In order to rush the journey, even when encountering goblin communities, he mostly just hacked through them carelessly without fully savoring the experience.
The suppressed wildfire in his heart burned ever brighter.
Now, having finally encountered such a large goblin community, to Xia Nan it was as if a lost traveler in the desert had found an oasis, a place where he should freely release himself.
Yet, due to considering the presence of the observer, he was forced to restrain himself.
Internally, he was truly suppressed.
But Xia Nan had always been quite good at handling pressure and was disciplined enough to weigh the importance of things clearly.
He knew that demonstrating his abilities through combat in front of the Barbarian Frogon, allowing the Barbarian to observe his shortcomings, was the most important thing right now.
And so, with an unimaginably steely willpower, he forcibly suppressed his inner desires and refocused his attention on the battle itself.
Being aware of the strength of his own abilities, he never overestimated himself without reason.
Though faced with goblin enemies he was very familiar with, Xia Nan still maintained a relatively cautious mindset, estimating the actual combat power of both sides within his heart before the battle officially began.
Regarding the goblins, the over one hundred ordinary goblins could be pretty much disregarded.
With his current combat style and Combat Skill System, ordinary goblins with a Challenge Level of merely "0.25" trying to overwhelm him through sheer numbers... even with conditions like a prohibition against retreat and a mandatory battle, the number of goblins required would probably be exaggeratedly high.
The current number over a hundred was far from sufficient.
Moreover, with Xia Nan’s keen Perception Ability, this goblin force had three Elite Individuals.
Among them, two had relatively weak auras, and based on his experience, should be two bear goblins with an ordinary Challenge Level of "1".
As for the remaining individual with a strange yet highly compelling aura, it should be the Commander of this goblin force.
Without actual contact or even seeing the other party, Xia Nan couldn’t possibly obtain more information.
Yet purely judging by aura intensity, the goblin Commander’s level should be akin to shark beast monsters of the Southern Islands, with a Challenge Level around Level 5, within his capability to handle.
Using this as a premise, with clear understanding of his own capability, knowing his actual combat power far exceeds apparent Professional Level, Xia Nan felt a bit relieved.
Such targets, covering both quantity and individual strength, served well for showcasing his current Combat Skill System.
"Ssssah!"
Without intending to sneak or assassinate, Xia Nan did not deliberately hide his form, directly walking towards the main gate of the goblins’ makeshift camp.
This caused several goblins at the camp’s periphery, acting as sentinels, to notice this black-haired adventurer wielding a Straight Sword approaching, and they issued sharp cries as alarms.
Yet, not being a force of wise beings receiving systematic military training, despite the goblins’ seemingly proper appearance, true chaos ensued upon this unexpected situation.
Through the simple and undefended fence ahead, he gazed into the camp.
Accompanying the sentry goblins’ shrill cries, some goblins even had no idea how to respond, running to the camp’s perimeter upon hearing the warning, and only upon seeing Xia Nan did they screech back into their huts to grab weapons.
A few individual goblins, similarly pent-up, had no military discipline whatsoever, rushing excitably toward Xia Nan with wooden sticks in hand.
Already being familiar with the chaotic evil nature of goblins, he held no expectations.
His dark eyes slightly moved, gaze bypassing those drooling green-skinned goblins charging towards him, looking deeper into the camp at the spreading chaos.
Firmly holding the Ash Fall Straight Sword, Xia Nan gradually quickened his pace.
As the stray hair on his forehead swayed, the invisible wind swirling around him was slowly tinged with a profound darkness amid the rising Wolf Howl.
Rumble—
...
...
Gak Blood Spear despised these noisy and stupid green-skinned goblins.
The goblins, having not long emerged from the earth, were almost more vexing than the most unruly cubs.
Even to get them to defecate and urinate at a fixed location, without spreading excrement everywhere in the camp, took it no less than half a month.
Fortunately, when numbers burgeon, eventually a few individuals with slightly better-developed brains emerge, able to understand its words, the "mutant" individuals.
Gak Blood Spear assigned the task of teaching newborn goblins to these goblin Captains who also had only recently emerged but had slightly higher intelligence.
In a sense, these goblin Captains were even more straightforward and efficient than it was.
Compared to its orders to the foolish green-skinned goblins to put the excrement they haphazardly expelled back through their own throats into their stomachs.
