Chapter 108: Playboy Killian

"This equipment is good!"

Regis smiled in satisfaction as he looked fondly at the armor he was wearing.

However, Killian looked at him with a strange expression, "Yeah, sure. But maybe it will be better if we wear it after we grow up..."

Currently, Regis was wearing armor that was too huge for him.

Just the helmet alone almost reached his shoulders, while the metallic boots already served as pants for him.

"Pffft! You look silly, Brother!"

Killian then looked towards her and facepalmed, "You’re really not any better..."

"Oh? What’s wrong?"

Pandora looked at what she was wearing and found no problem whatsoever.

Looking at her, Regis chuckled, "Sister, I thought we’re going to become adventurers. So why do you look like you want to outshine the sun itself?"

Instead of picking armor for herself, Pandora went on and wore almost every single jewelry in the whole household.

Unable to keep his composure, Killian spoke with a tired voice, "Just remove it please."

""Okay...""

Regis and Pandora answered with downcast expressions.

Killian then went on and guided the both of them in choosing the most suitable pieces of equipment.

After all, even though the three of them were all the same age, his social status and upbringing made it so that he’s quite knowledgeable when it came to these things.

A few minutes later...

"It’s a pity that we don’t have metal armor pieces for children like us, so this would have to do for now..."

"Also, I’m sorry Pandora but this is the only staff we had in our family."

"Anyways, we’re just novice adventurers. It’s unlikely that we’ll encounter something that warrants more than this, so this should be enough for the time being."

Currently, both Regis and Pandora were wearing leather protective pieces.

The former had a longsword on his back while the latter was holding a pristine metallic silver staff with a shiny green jewel on top of it.

Pandora also had a shortsword on her waist as a sub weapon.

The two of them looked at their reflections on the mirror with bright eyes, clearly loving their equipment.

Regis took the sword out of its sheath and admired its mirror-like gleam, "I can even see a reflection of my face!"

"This jewel is so shiny... I love it!" On the other hand, Pandora stared fixedly at the green jewel of her staff.

"I’m glad that you both like it. Those equipment were crafted with top notch materials."

"Yeah, I can tell... This is amazing!" Regis smiled happily.

"Anyways, since you’re all good, let’s go."

His words prompted the two of them to both look at him, "Where to?"

"What do you mean where? Let’s go adventuring!"

Killian looked at them with an excited smile.

"Eh? We’re starting now?"

As they have just been discharged, Regis and Pandora glanced at each other.

But soon enough, an excited expression appeared on their faces as they said, "Let’s go!"

A few minutes later...

"Hey, didn’t you say we’re going to go adventuring? Why are we at the Adventurer’s Guild?"

Regis asked as he stared at the three story building in front of them.

Behind him, Pandora also looked askance.

Killian smiled helplessly as he looked at the both of them, "Well, before we go, it’s better to look at some quests first."

"Ohhh!" As an avid reader of fairy tales, Regis was quick on the uptake.

However, Pandora was still clueless, "What does he mean by that, Brother?"

As they followed behind Killian, Regis began to explain, "Well, adventuring doesn’t really only consist of hunting monsters. It could be doing someone’s request and the like..."

"Besides that, some might even request specific monster parts so we could collect it for rewards after we hunted monsters."

"But Brother..."

"Yes? Do you have any questions?"

"What is he doing?"

With a confused expression on his face, Regis looked to where Pandora was pointing.

"What the hell..."

A curse escaped from his mouth as a frown appeared on his forehead.

The two of them looked at Killian who was talking to the young girl who seemed to be the receptionist.

Seeing the way they giggled and the girl that was blushing, a thought appeared on their minds.

’Is he seriously flirting with her!?’

Regis and Pandora glanced at each other as they remembered one of the pieces of information they heard about Killian in the past.

It was the fact that he was a skirt-chasing, hedonistic young master of the Gladius Family.

"He’s kind of amazing, though..."

"What do you mean by that, Brother?"

Regis saw Pandora’s frown and immediately waved his hands, "I mean, the receptionist looked to be a teenager. On the other hand, Killian’s the same age as us."

Pandora’s frown became deeper as she didn’t understand what he was implying.

The fact that someone the age of them who was only around the age of ten years old, was able to flirt with a teenager was quite impressive, to say the least.

However, she obviously could not grasp the idea, ’Is it really that amazing...’

Killian and the receptionist’s conversation lasted for a few minutes before he seemed to bid her farewell with an "unwilling" expression.

"Yo! I think I have the best quest for us!" Killian said with a smile as he approached Regis and Pandora.

However, he soon noticed the strange looks they were giving him.

Knowing that they had witnessed his conversation with the receptionist, Killian chuckled awkwardly.

"What are you guys waiting for? Let’s go to the bulletin board!"

He changed the topic as he led the two towards a board with numerous flyers on it.

His way of distracting Regis and Pandora seemed to work as the two excitedly looked at the flyers on the bulletin.

"So this is what a bulletin is like, huh?"

Regis muttered to himself with a tinge of excitement.

He had read various fairy tales where it described the hero’s party to be visiting the Adventurer’s Guild and taking on quests.

It was like a dream come true to him at this moment.

"Mission. Collect 100 Goblin Fangs and 50 Goblin Hearts. Difficulty: Novice. Reward: 10 Silver Coins..."

As Regis read some of the flyers, he discovered that there were three main pieces of information that they all had in common.

It was the fact that every quest concisely stated the mission that needed to be done, the difficulty of the mission, and the reward.

’It’s simple but effective, I like it.’ Regis glanced at Pandora and saw that she was also reading a flyer.

He then approached her and looked at what she was reading.

Mission: Mine crystals at Lakulum Cave.

Difficulty: Below Novice.

Reward: 30 Copper Coins.

A helpless expression soon appeared on Regis’s face, "What are you looking at?"

"Crystals. It says that we can get crystals at that cave!" Pandora’s eyes sparkled at the thought of getting crystals on her own.

’I knew it. She’s distracted by the word "crystal"...’

At this moment, Killian approached them with a flyer in hand, "I’ve gotten the quest that was suggested by Rebecca! Let’s go!"

"Who’s Rebecca?" Regis asked with a curious expression.

However, Killian only waved his hands dismissively, "Come on, let’s focus on the important matters at hand."

The three of them then went to the receptionist, who requested for them to look at their Adventurer IDs.

After a moment, the receptionist, Rebecca, gave the Adventurer IDs back and smiled at them, "Alright! I’ve recorded your information. I wish the three of you goodluck on your journey!!!"

’She’s quite normal...’ Regis thought as he subtly observed her and Killian.

However, his thoughts came to a halt when he saw Killian winking at Rebecca, making her blush.

This event was also witnessed by Pandora, making their expressions freeze.
