Murong Qing did not cry, nor did she ask Go Biqing why, she just said, "Oh, your girlfriend must be very pretty, she seems to be very nice to Nana too, I hope you are happy. You go back first, I will go back myself."

Go Biqing was a bit worried initially, but upon hearing Murong Qing’s calm and even cold voice, it seemed as if what he said had nothing to do with her.

Moreover, considering Murong Qing’s lack of concentration while driving earlier, Go Biqing truly felt uneasy about her going back alone.

"Are you alright? How about I drive you back?" Go Biqing asked softly.

Murong Qing said in a very normal way, "I want some quiet time alone, can you go back first? I’m begging you."

Go Biqing and Murong Qing never spoke words of confession, but Murong Qing’s intentions were obvious to anyone, even someone as clueless as Go Biqing, and Murong Qing knew that Go Biqing should have understood her feelings over the past few days, making many words unnecessary to say. Although the two had a tacit understanding, some words were unsaid, and some relationships were not established, she had no grounds to cry or fuss, not to mention, Murong Qing would not cry or fuss. She had her principles, she only wanted Go Biqing to understand her feelings, and hoped that by working hard Go Biqing would accept her, at least to hear Go Biqing verbally express pursuit. But now it seemed that everything was impossible.

"What is this?" After walking a few steps, Go Biqing wondered why there were some water droplets on his face. He touched them and instinctively tasted them on his tongue, it turned out to be bitter. That morning, after completing his tasks as part of his routine, Go Biqing came to the entrance for breakfast, suddenly seeing Murong Qing’s car approaching, his heart skipped a beat. Soon Murong Qing came down, followed by Li Mei. Seeing Go Biqing at the entrance, she greeted him like an ordinary friend. "How’s it going? Are you used to your work? Haven’t seen you for a few days and you look thinner, are you too tired?"

Murong Qing’s tone at this time was simple, a pure friendly greeting. After saying this, Murong Qing went straight out the door, Li Mei trailing behind her briefly escorted her, then returned, seeing Go Biqing still standing at the entrance as if lost in thought, she asked, "Thinking about something?"

Go Biqing was called back to reality by Li Mei’s voice and asked, "Sister Li, you seem to know Murong Qing?"

Li Mei looked at Go Biqing curiously, wondering if Murong Qing hadn’t disclosed the company’s situation to him; as she thought of this, although she originally intended to tell Go Biqing that this company belonged to Murong Qing’s family, she instantly refrained, fearing she might overstep and offend Murong Qing.

"Of course, why?" Li Mei said with a smile, "from now on, you two will get to meet every day!" Having said this, she quickly went upstairs, fearing Go Biqing would press her with questions, unsure of what she should or shouldn’t say.

Go Biqing could sense the meaning behind Li Mei’s last words, but what could he do now? He could only smile bitterly, at least he knew that outwardly he and Murong Qing were friends now, but only Go Biqing himself understood he still felt somewhat uneasy every time he met Murong Qing.

The entire day that followed, Go Biqing was restless, feeling as if something big was about to happen, and that it wouldn’t be good.

Meanwhile, at Sun Yan’s house, Sun Yan was feeling helpless with a baby just a few months old, having just returned home after being called by an urgent phone call from the nanny.

Earlier that morning, the nanny heard the doorbell, and upon opening the door, she saw a young woman holding a baby, who said she was Gwen’s aunt. Seeing this woman call out Gwen’s name, along with Sun Yan’s name and even knowing Go Biqing’s name, she thought nothing of letting her in. But after sitting for a while, the woman said she had some matters to attend to, asked the nanny to look after the baby, then left and never returned.

The nanny carried the baby around until the afternoon, realizing something was wrong when Gwen’s aunt didn’t return. Thinking it through, she realized that coming to visit wouldn’t involve bringing lots of baby luggage, and immediately understood she had been deceived, promptly calling Sun Yan.

Sun Yan inquired a bit about the woman’s appearance over the phone and felt a chill in her heart, hastened back home.

Upon returning, the first thing Sun Yan did was instruct the nanny to not say anything, insisting that the baby truly was Gwen’s aunt’s child, then asked the nanny to leave.

Then, holding the letter in the baby’s bundle, Sun Yan was at a loss for words.
