But very soon, he realized something was wrong, the orb wasn’t absorbing his spiritual energy.

It was absorbing the evil thoughts within him.

Adam’s eyes turned red, he looked at the Book Saint, murderous intent surging in his gaze.

He severed the connection with his clone immediately.

Whoosh!

The clone dissipated, the black orb dropped back onto the table and regained its calm.

Adam let out a long breath, his eyes returning to clarity.

"How is it?" the Book Saint asked.

Adam shook his head. "This black orb is not simple, just as I guessed, it collects the evil thoughts of all living beings."

Evil thoughts had nothing to do with strength, stronger individuals could suppress them better, but once infected, the orb evoked evil desires hidden in the heart, just a moment ago, Adam’s own murderous intent had been drawn out.

"Is there a way to destroy it?"

"It’s possible, but I have no way to deal with the immediate release of evil thoughts!" Adam nodded, then shook his head.

The Book Saint nodded. "In that case, seal it first, we will purify it when the right opportunity arises!"

They decided to seal the orb in a specially made container and store it inside the Book Saint’s painting scroll, besides the Book Saint himself, no one else could enter that place.
