Gravity Mage with Level-Up System
Chapter 2211: An Unusual Plea for Help
Crystal City - Residence
Days went by.
More and more gifts continued to arrive at the residence. Also, the day of the members’ departure had arrived. They would leave tomorrow, including Lady Caitlin.
Her new ID proof had come. Manager Lara had dispatched it through someone. Once they were gone, I would use my alternate identity to open the shop.
Swoosh!
The red smoke entered the room through the window. It appeared before me and turned into its original black knight form.
"Master, I brought today’s gifts and letters as well," the Zero Puppet said.
"Place the gifts on the table. Next, go through the letters. The letters are always about someone asking for permission to meet up. I hope there is something new this time," I said to him.
The Zero Puppet then began to do the work. It placed the gifts on the table. Next, the Zero Puppet began to go through the letters.
I walked up to the table. My gaze once again fell on the desk. There were many gifts here. I used the system to scan the place again.
[Ding! Cursed object detected again.]
When I heard the system’s voice, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. How many times now? It had only been a couple of days, but this was already the 6th cursed object received by me.
A small smile appeared on my face. I didn’t know who was acting against me. The person must have known that I was not cursed.
That was why the person continued to send me the cursed objects. Tomorrow, the members would leave. Then I would use the Zero Puppet to track the person.
After making the decision, I placed the 6th cursed object inside the system space.
"Master, you should look at this letter," the Zero Puppet said to me.
Hearing that, I turned toward him. I accepted the letter from his hand. Then I unfolded the letter and began to go through it.
A shift in expression appeared.
[Wizard Vincent, I used to be a member of the True Element Society. I heard you were once a member of the True Element Society before joining the Silver Tower.]
[As a former True Element Society member, I hope you can help me out in this difficult situation. I am living in Creek City, in the outer territory under the Mage Union.]
After reading the letter once again, I didn’t know why, but I thought I should go and look into it. If it was someone from the old school, then I should help out.
The True Element Society was once my home as well.
"Zero, I’m leaving right now. You should watch over the place in secret," I said to the Zero Puppet.
Hearing that, the Zero Puppet obeyed the order. Then I placed the letter inside the storage bracelet. Next, I took the handheld device and called Manager Lara.
She answered the call right away. Then I explained the situation to her. After listening to me for a few minutes,
"It could be a trap. Be careful. Why would anyone contact you right when the news about your breakthrough is spreading everywhere?" Lara warned me.
"Don’t worry. If this is a trap, then the person behind it is going to regret it," I replied.
"It’s your choice. If you need any help, you can use your Mage Union Outer Hall badge. It has extraordinary functions," Lara said to me.
"Noted," I said.
Then we spoke for a few minutes before ending the call. I told her that if I got delayed by any situation, I requested her to watch over the shop.
I nodded to the Zero Puppet before leaving. After leaving the room, I came to the lobby. Then I summoned the members and the two pet monsters.
It didn’t take long for everyone to gather. When they arrived before me, my gaze swept across them.
"I know you guys are going to leave tomorrow, but I have urgent work. I’m going to leave the Mage Union territory now, so I cannot wait here to send you guys off," I said to them.
Hearing that, the faces of everyone shifted dramatically. They didn’t expect Master Vincent to leave right now.
"Master, is there any problem?" Otto asked.
"If there is any trouble, we can help," Patrick added.
Hank, Old Man Rock, and Lady Caitlin were also ready to help me, but I stopped them.
"It’s just a quick visit. If I don’t return by tomorrow, you guys can leave on your own. But the monsters will stay here," I said to them.
"What about the shop and the residence?" Caitlin asked.
"I have requested the help of Manager Lara. If I am delayed any longer, Manager Lara will come. She will look after the shop," I said to them.
Hearing that, everyone fell silent. Then I said a few words to them before leaving the place.
Swoosh!
The members came to send me off. I walked out of the residence. The next second, I saw someone coming toward the residence.
In my vision, I spotted the person. The person was none other than Elder Blake. He appeared in front of me and landed on the ground.
"Magic Lord Vincent, I’m getting calls every day. All the important people want to meet you. I don’t know what to say to them," Elder Blake said.
Hearing that, I smiled and said, "I’m leaving for important business. I don’t have time to meet them. Just reject their requests."
Elder Blake was taken aback. He didn’t expect Wizard Vincent to leave. Then he nodded his head.
Swoosh!
Under the gaze of everyone, I used my flight ability and rose into mid-air. Next, I departed from the place.
Like a shooting star, I headed toward the border.
I didn’t use the space layer; it was forbidden unless the situation was an emergency.
At this time, people who were paying attention to the surroundings saw someone leaving through the air.
When they tried to locate the point of origin, they found out that it was the Crystal Community. Only one person had the audacity to fly like this, and that person was none other than Magic Lord Vincent.
Already, the local media houses had their staff stationed there to gather information. Magic Lord Vincent’s departure was immediately noticed by them.
They quickly reported it as breaking news. A lot of people were watching the news online, eager to find out what Magic Lord Vincent was up to.
