Chapter 730: Chapter 284: The Synchronized Couple (Part 2)
Ron made a muffled sound, and now he was just regretful, very, very regretful.
I’m so foolish, really. I knew Snape was the head of Slytherin, but I forgot he was also the Potions professor, which theoretically allowed him to enter the Gryffindor Common Room.
On the contrary, it was Harry who looked up at Snape and asked, "Professor, is there something you need here?"
For a head of Slytherin to come to the Gryffindor Common Room, it wasn’t just a minor matter, it was definitely something important.
"The headmaster is waiting for you in his office, and since Professor McGonagall isn’t around, as your Potions professor, your old professor had to make a trip himself."
Snape’s voice was still dragging out, sounding somewhat impatient.
Harry felt something was off. How could Snape possibly be in the Gryffindor Common Room?
Others might not know, but Harry knew exactly what was going on.
In fact, there was nothing wrong with what Snape said, since back in his school days, Professor Snape never got along with Gryffindor, and the only time he came to the entrance, he was mercilessly rejected by the Goddess.
It hurt, it hurt so much!
"Thank you, Professor." Harry stood up and thanked Snape sincerely, only to get a back of the head and a ’hmph’ in return.
After leaving the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry followed Snape all the way to outside the Headmaster’s Office.
To his surprise, that "Snape" suddenly transformed into a witch, with her outfit changing as well.
She had a pale, heart-shaped face with a pair of dark, shining eyes; she dressed like any young and rebellious witch in a Quirky Sisters shirt and patched jeans; what surprised Harry was her hair, which was a very vibrant bubblegum pink.
"Hello, Harry." The witch smiled at Harry, "You can call me Tonks—I graduated from Hufflepuff."
Oh, an upperclassman from Hufflepuff.
"Hello, Tonks." Harry greeted her and then hesitantly asked, "What was that about just now..."
"Oh, it was just to liven up the atmosphere. Entering the Gryffindor Common Room with this face is quite mundane, don’t you think?" Tonks seemed in high spirits, "Wouldn’t it be fun to mimic Professor Snape and prank a couple of students?—Oh, right, make sure to tell Ron that the homework isn’t necessary."
"You’re going to scare him to death." Harry shook his head and said.
But he couldn’t hold back after a moment.
"Hahaha... but it’s really funny, did you see Ron’s face just now, he was almost crying... By the way, how do you know Ron?"
"I don’t know Ron, but I know he must be a Weasley." Tonks said casually, "I know his second brother, Charlie, and he has the same distinctive fiery red hair."
"Alright then." Harry shrugged, then saw Tonks suddenly cross her eyes and turn her nose into a pig’s snout.
An amusing upperclassman, Harry greatly praised her.
The door to the Headmaster’s Office suddenly opened, and Professor Snape came out of it.
As he passed Tonks and Harry, he glanced at them with his head held high but didn’t say anything, fluttering his cloak like a big bat and flying off.
"I bet he’s your nightmare right now." Tonks said, watching Snape’s back, "From Ron’s reaction just now, I could tell he’s definitely your nightmare."
"Who says otherwise?" Harry shrugged, "Let’s go, we should go in too and see what the headmaster has planned."
When they entered the Headmaster’s Office, they found many people sitting inside, including Lupin, Little Sirius, and a few people Harry vaguely recognized but didn’t know.
Of course, there was also Miss Grindelwald, the Deputy Minister of the Great German Ministry of Magic.
"These are our original members of the Phoenix Society." Dumbledore spoke first, "I believe the plan should be foolproof. With them at Hogwarts, Harry... well, at least you and Miss Grindelwald will have no worries."
Harry and Vivi exchanged glances, each seeing the "ha" in the other’s eyes.
Phoenix Society?
The original Phoenix Society?!
Bah!
The original Phoenix Society members were obviously Harry, Vivi, Cassandra, Pabi, Omnius, and Sebastian, and you all are just second-rate fakes at best...
Furthermore, you’re claiming to be the original Phoenix Society in front of the real original members?!
Who gave you the courage? Westlife?
"Of course, Tonks is a new recruit." Dumbledore added, "As an excellent Hufflepuff graduate, she should join the Phoenix Society."
"No objections here." Harry shrugged.
This Phoenix Society was not his concern, Harry felt.
"Neither do I." Vivi mimicked Harry’s manner.
"But I must say again, Harry." Dumbledore’s eyes sparkled, "This plan is truly very risky, and I still wouldn’t recommend you putting yourself in danger."
"It is indeed dangerous." Harry nodded, "But it’s just a necessary sacrifice—someone has to sacrifice, why not me?"
Dumbledore said nothing more and just nodded in approval.
"You’ll be fine, Harry." Little Sirius patted Harry’s shoulder, "You’re James and Lily’s son, you were born to defeat Voldemort—you’ve beaten him countless times, this time he can’t gain the upper hand."
"Additionally," Dumbledore continued, "regarding the Ministry of Magic—I believe it’s necessary to inform the Minister about Voldemort’s impending return, what do you all think?"
"I’ve no opinion." Little Sirius said lazily, but it was clear he held some opinions about Fudge.
"Certainly," Vivi scratched Harry’s chin lightly, saying with a smile, "It’s just another four-stage strategy—regardless of the message reaching Fudge in the first stage, he’d claim nothing happened."
"Yes, in the second stage, he’ll say perhaps something is happening, but they don’t need to do anything." Harry continued.
"In the third stage, he’ll claim something indeed has happened, but they can’t do anything about it." Vivi smiled lightly.
"In the fourth stage, he’ll say maybe we should have done something back then, but now it’s too late."
Harry finished speaking and high-fived Vivi in the air.
Dumbledore reached out to massage his temples, feeling that the couple’s coordination was increasingly seamless.
"Nonetheless, the matter must still be reported to Fudge." Vivi continued, "After all, he’s the Minister of Magic. Even if he can’t accept the news of Voldemort’s return, he must at least be aware of it."
"Why?" Tonks suddenly asked.
"Oh." Vivi chuckled mischievously, "As I said, he’s the Minister of Magic after all..."
Tonks felt a bit confused, sensing something she was missing but couldn’t figure out what.
"Miss Grindelwald is right." Little Sirius suddenly said, "Fudge is too concerned with his political career. If the news of Voldemort’s return spreads, it’s sure to be devastating to his reputation and position, so he’d inevitably try to suppress it..."
