Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 747 - 293: Will You Be My Girlfriend, Cassandra?

Chapter 747: Chapter 293: Will You Be My Girlfriend, Cassandra?

"I really don’t like spiders anymore."

A muffled voice sounded next to them, and Ron turned around to see Victor looking displeased.

Of course, Victor’s displeasure wasn’t directed at Ron, but at that spider.

Yes, the very spider that successfully captured him and trapped him in its web.

Hearing Victor’s words, Ron felt as if he’d found kin, exclaiming happily, "You don’t like spiders either, right? I really hate them too, Merlin’s socks... Heaven knows how I felt when Fred and George used spiders to scare me when I was little—oh, Fred and George are the identical red-headed pair, they’re my brothers."

"What do you mean identical red hair!" The twins were not pleased after hearing this: "We’re your brothers, dear Little Ronnie, and we warn you, don’t be cheeky!"

Having been teased, Ron lowered his head, blushing, his freckles very apparent.

"I know those two, they’re famous." Victor glanced at the twins and said to Ron, "I think even if they went to Durmstrang, they’d make a name for themselves. Their personality... well, it’s somewhat exuberant."

Ron thought to himself, that’s more than just exuberant, it’s exuberance passing through the door; exuberance at its peak!

"So, are you going to participate in the next Quidditch World Cup?" Ron quickly steered the conversation towards Quidditch, "You’re my favorite Quidditch seeker—aside from Harry, that is..."

Victor thought Ron was just trying to save face for Harry and didn’t pay much attention.

He smiled and said, "Of course I will participate. I plan to keep playing for several more tournaments, until I’m too old to play Quidditch."

"No worries." Ron patted Victor on the shoulder, "Age isn’t a problem, in the seeker position, older players are even craftier."

They walked to the Great Hall, chatting warmly and pleasantly.

The Great Hall was well-decorated, and the space had been appropriately expanded. From the outside, it still looked the same as before, but stepping inside, it held many wonders.

The four long tables were extended even further, but no extra tables were added, possibly implying that Dumbledore wanted those who’ve graduated from Hogwarts to find their respective house tables.

Of course, that’s exactly what they were doing. For instance, the Weasley family gathered around the Gryffindor table, talking animatedly about Harry’s recent moment of glory.

Mrs. Weasley insisted on knitting Harry a sweater with a pattern of him raising the Flame Cup. Harry laughed and accepted, without refusing the kind gesture from Mrs. Weasley.

"Mr. Potter."

Lucius’s voice sounded from behind him. Harry turned and saw Lucius’s family, with Cassandra standing arrogantly beside them.

It was evident that in the presence of family, Cassandra would put on such an expression—back in the day, whenever Mr. Septimus or Ignatius stood beside Cassandra, her expression would be even more proud than it was now.

However, Harry could tell that Cassandra’s expression was an act—at least, the arrogant face wasn’t directed at him.

"Mr. Malfoy." Harry returned the greeting politely.

"Congratulations on winning this year’s Triwizard Tournament," Mr. Malfoy said formally, extending his hand to shake Harry’s. "On behalf of the Malfoy family, I offer you our sincerest congratulations."

"Thank you." Harry nodded and asked Mr. Malfoy, "Could we speak privately for a moment?"

"Of course." Lucius wanted nothing more and followed Harry aside.

"Regarding Voldemort, how much do you know?" Harry asked Lucius. "In recent days, has he invited you to a summons?"

"Yesterday, the Dark Lord did trigger the Dark Mark, but with the magic items gifted by you, Mr. Potter, my Dark Mark causes me no pain," Lucius said in a low voice. "Of course, I didn’t respond to his summons. The Dark Lord is now fading, and the Malfoy family cannot possibly follow him again!"

This was said very straightforwardly. Lucius had no intention of hiding anything from Harry, saying what he needed to say.

Exactly, they were straightforward relatives, and given the grandaunt, Mr. Potter would naturally lend a hand to the Malfoy family when needed.

"I understand that, Lucius." Harry nodded. "It’s a good thing you can stand with us against Voldemort..."

"Crabbe and Gall also received orders from the Dark Mark, but rest assured, I told those two fools not to act rashly. They have now successfully been persuaded by me to resolve to break free of the Dark Lord’s evil control!" Lucius said steadfastly.

"That’s good, that’s good." Harry said with a laugh, "We must gather all the strength we can. Besides them, is there anyone else? Like other pure-blood clans wanting to break free from the Dark Lord’s evil control?"

Harry could tell that Lucius still harbored fear of the Dark Lord, otherwise, he wouldn’t use the term ’Dark Lord’ to refer to Voldemort instead of his name.

It was said that Voldemort had cursed his own name, so that whenever someone spoke it aloud, the Death Eaters would know that person’s location and hunt them down.
