Chapter 366: World Piercer

Priam looked up at the sky, shocked. It was a Wyvern truly similar to the ones from Earth’s legends: a gigantic reptilian creature with two pairs of colossal wings, two legs, and arms fused to the wing membranes, exactly like a bat.

The creature was completely covered in fire-red scales, and its slit-like eyes glowed with a radiant amber light.

As for its power... Priam felt the air grow heavy. That monster was a Level 9 Sage Enlightened, on the same level as him.

Priam had already studied this before: Primordial Chaos Beasts were famous for specializing in a single element or power, pushing it to such an extreme level that they became unstoppable calamities.

A fire beast like this one, for example, could never be defeated by a humanoid or demon specialized in the same element. Not only did it possess absolute, impenetrable resistance to flames, but its offensive power was several levels above that of any other race.

Each major race had its own unique characteristic.

Humanoids, for example, were known for mastering countless paths and possessing an endless variety of abilities. They were versatile, and when fighting in groups, they became shockingly difficult to defeat.

Demons, on the other hand, were masters of manipulating life energy and possessed unique methods of ascension and combat. High-level demons could reach the pinnacle at a terrifying speed, mastering the power of the soul, mind, and vital energy.

Priam narrowed his eyes. Originally, the plan had been nothing more than to subdue the eagle. Then the lizard had appeared out of nowhere. And now, an even more terrifying creature had emerged.

’This Primordial Chaos Beast race was among the first to be born in this world, feared by all humanoids as the Infernal Fire Calamity! Only an army of experts specialized in the Water and Yin elements can withstand its flames!’

Dandara explained mentally, genuinely stunned by the sight of the creature. To her, that beast was practically a legend, something she had never dreamed she would see in her lifetime.

*ROAR!!!*

Suddenly, the Wyvern moved. Its crimson wings glimmered, and its massive body shot forward like a flaming meteor.

Its wings spread wide, and the runes engraved upon them lit up. Countless fire arrows rained down upon the ground in an incandescent storm, heralding the end of the world.

*KBOOOM!*

Colossal explosions echoed through the area. The entire region of the forest was engulfed in flames; the eagle and the lizard let out agonizing cries before turning to ash almost instantly.

Priam and Dandara were a safe distance from the mountain, so the flames didn’t reach them directly.

Dandara held tightly onto Priam, and he could feel her heart pounding rapidly. Witnessing a legendary race she had only ever studied in books was an overwhelming shock.

As for Priam... he stared at the flames and took a deep breath. They were far too terrifying.

He possessed his father’s fire bloodline and could consider himself a master of the element. However, in a direct clash of flames, his fire would be completely overwhelmed.

That enemy fire seemed alive—as if it were hungry specters from hell, desperate to devour any organic matter. Even after reducing everything to ash, the flames continued twisting in every direction, desperately searching for something else to burn.

Suddenly, Dandara froze.

The Wyvern’s amber eyes suddenly turned in their direction.

Priam snorted. Of course this creature would sense Dandara’s presence. Her concealment ability was far from perfect and could only fool ordinary creatures.

*ROAR!!*

With a deafening roar, the Wyvern flapped its wings and opened its jaws wide.

’It’s a Dragon Breath!’

Priam thought, caught between shock and excitement.

As the overwhelming wave of flames surged forward, Priam activated his Elemental Physique and shot away, carrying Dandara with him.

The fire exploded against the ground and rose into the sky, causing a vast area to tremble from the impact.

Priam and Dandara reappeared high in the air.

Seeing that Priam had no intention of running away, Dandara took a deep breath to calm her racing heart.

Did he really want to defeat that thing? Did he really want her to subdue a monster of that level?

Could there be anything more incredible than this?

"Boss... I can unleash all my power at once. I’m sure I can infect it with my miasma. If we fight together, we can defeat it without having to kill it."

Priam nodded. "Good, but not yet. Keep your distance for now. I’ll need your help later."

Dandara nodded and released her hold on his back, landing agilely on the branches of a distant tree.

At that moment, Priam turned toward his opponent.

"COME!"

*BUZZZ!*

Priam roared and activated his Celestial Battle Armor. He looked like a golden sun igniting in the sky. An immense power surged through his body, causing his confidence to soar.

Ananke covered his fists. Facing such an incomparably terrifying creature, he was completely certain that he could win if he went all out. However, his goal wasn’t to kill it, but to subdue it.

Dandara needed the strongest beasts possible. Priam wanted to give her the best that existed—and now he had struck gold.

Without waiting for the Wyvern to react, Priam charged forward.

His fists shot out, causing the very space in the sky to shatter into countless cracks that spread in every direction like spiderwebs.

His attack was so fast that it struck the enemy before it could even react.

*BOOOM!*

The attack collided with the Wyvern’s scales, which instinctively reacted by creating a kind of natural barrier. It was as if every single one of its scales were tiny power cores merging together in an instant.

’Damn, it’s really skilled at both offense and defense.’ The reaction surprised Priam. His direct attack hadn’t even managed to break through that automatic defense.

Suddenly, the Wyvern let out a shrill cry. Its eyes glowed like two blazing yellow suns. Without warning, the beast fired a devastating beam of fire.

The attack came without any warning or cooldown. Even so, Priam was able to see everything in slow motion and easily dodged it.

The infernal flames exploded into the ground with such depth that it was impossible to see the bottom.

A shiver ran down Dandara’s spine. That attack was far too bizarre. The legends had been telling the truth: a simple strike infused with those flames was terrifyingly destructive!

It wasn’t brute force tearing the ground apart. Rather, anything that came into contact with the flames was turned to ash almost in the very same millisecond.

And this planet possessed an extremely high-level natural energy, the densest in all of Ur-World. Even Priam, if he attacked the ground with 100% of his strength, would only cause superficial damage.

Priam snorted and shot forward like a ghost.

The Wyvern roared and responded as quickly and precisely as it could, firing a rain of fire arrows.

Priam dodged the arrows covering the sky as if they were nothing. In the blink of an eye, he appeared directly in front of the creature again.

For such a colossal monster, it shouldn’t have been that agile. Priam’s plan was to get close and find a weak point. Otherwise, subduing it would be far too complicated.

*BOOM!*

He had barely gotten close when the Wyvern’s wings slammed into him, tearing apart the fabric of space.

’Space is being compressed!’

Priam was surprised. This Wyvern didn’t just possess overwhelming long-range attacks—its close-quarters combat was terrifying as well. The attack compressed the space around it, restricting the target’s movements.

’Using space against me?’

The Wyvern had chosen the wrong opponent.

Priam’s eyes gleamed, and the God-Weaver bloodline began burning through his veins.

Priam had read and studied the entire Ancestral Art of that race. Although he hadn’t put it into practice yet and his control over Space-Time was still rudimentary, he understood its fundamentals.

That race’s bloodline allowed them to manipulate the fabric of Space-Time. Its most shocking and devastating technique, however, was the ability to pierce through reality—the legendary World Piercer.

The World Piercer was the absolute pinnacle of the race, something even Rank 1 Sages couldn’t use. However, upon reaching Rank 2, it became possible to execute it in its most primitive form.

The technique could be used for both mobility and offense.

At a high level, its mobility allowed one to cross the entire universe or jump to other universes in the world almost instantaneously.

As an offensive technique, it could pierce through absolutely any defense, inscription, or barrier, striking the target directly with potentially fatal force.

The problem was that even a Level 9 Exalted Sage could only unleash this maximum power once, exhausting all of their energy.

Furthermore, although it could pierce through anything, the technique itself required an enormous amount of power to tear through reality. As a result, the remaining impact might not cause overwhelming damage if the enemy possessed absurd regeneration or resistance.

In the end, the World Piercer was a power truly meant for Immortals to use. Sages simply weren’t at the level required to wield it to its full potential.
