Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Chapter 409: Great Contribution

Knowing that today was the registration day for the outer sect disciples, Nise and her allies were quite excited and went out to welcome them. However, as soon as they arrived, they came across a rather peculiar scene.

Priam’s faction was fiercely attacking hundreds of law disciples, while Priam himself was surrounded by a crowd of nearly a hundred people. It was absolute chaos, leaving them completely dumbfounded.

"Lady Dandara, what happened here? Why are you guys fighting?" Nise asked as she approached Dandara, who was watching everything from farther away.

"The reason? The usual one. Idiots looking for trouble... but they ended up messing with the wrong person."

"What?"

Nise was left speechless, shocked by the situation. "Priam hasn’t even stepped into the inner sect yet, and he’s already caused a fight this massive?"

"Actually, this is already the second one. We had another one on the way here," Dandara replied with a faint smirk.

Hearing that, Nise couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh.

"Let’s join the fight too!"

Some of Nise’s disciples started rolling up their sleeves. After fighting side by side with that army during the Event, they all wanted to feel the adrenaline of being part of that force again.

However, just as they were about to charge forward, Nise immediately stopped them. Those youngsters were immature and had never experienced anything like this before. After all, as core disciples, no one dared cause them trouble in their daily lives.

They didn’t even know that using weapons or energy there was strictly forbidden. And honestly, when it came to hand-to-hand combat, they didn’t even come close to Priam’s faction’s soldiers. If they tried to get involved, they’d just get beaten up for free.

"Don’t spread out your attacks! Work together and surround him! Don’t let him dodge—"

One of the law disciples tried to bark out orders, but Flaris skillfully slipped through the crowd, knocking down anyone who got in her way. Before the guy could finish his sentence, he received a devastating kick between the legs and staggered backward. The unbearable pain kept him from even getting back up.

The remaining law disciples formed a circular wall around Priam, pressing in from every direction at once. It seemed to be the only way to contain his unpredictable movements.

"Attack!"

More than a hundred people charged forward in sync, with several of them leaping into the air to block every possible escape route around Priam.

Priam merely snorted in disdain. Then, he slightly raised his knee...

*BANG!*

He stomped on the ground with terrifying force. Even without using a drop of energy, the impact was brutal.

The pavement had been built from extremely high-level ores, specifically designed to disperse energy and withstand any impact without cracking. However, under Priam’s overwhelming physical strength, the sheer shockwave violently spread outward in every direction.

Everyone charging toward him was instantly blasted backward, spinning wildly through the air as if they had been hit by a hurricane.

The spectators around them were completely dumbfounded.

With a single purely physical strike against the ground, the entire area around Priam was completely cleared.

Priam was now holding two law disciples by the legs. Both of them hung limp like wet rags, their bodies riddled with multiple broken bones.

Those two were the truly unlucky ones this time.

At that moment, Priam had grabbed them and used them as flesh-and-blood weapons, swinging them wildly through the crowd and knocking dozens of others out at once before they finally passed out themselves.

However, Priam had actually shown a certain degree of restraint, since he had deliberately chosen the two physically toughest law disciples for the maneuver. He hadn’t spared them out of kindness during the fight. He had been saving them specifically for that moment.

A few minutes later...

The gate was now covered by a sea of fallen bodies. Only seventy or eighty law disciples remained standing. However, when they looked at Priam and the monstrous faction positioned behind him, they were overwhelmed by absolute fear.

Not a single one of them dared take another step forward.

"RETREAT!"

With desperate shouts, everyone who could still move turned around and fled without looking back.

If hundreds of them hadn’t even managed to scratch those newcomers, continuing with their reduced numbers would be nothing more than asking to get beaten to death.

"Amazing!"

After a brief second of stunned silence, a round of applause and excited cheers erupted from the crowd.

Many of those spectators had also been intimidated and extorted by the veterans when they first arrived. Unfortunately, back then, they didn’t have the experience, let alone the overwhelming power that Priam and his soldiers possessed. Seeing those arrogant law disciples getting put in their place was incredibly satisfying.

"Honestly... they talked so much, but that was all they had?" Flaris commented with pure disdain, wiping her knuckles.

"You insolent brats! You have no right to be so arrogant!" one of the law disciples cursed from a distance. "If it weren’t for the rules here, we’d have beaten you into pulp already!"

The greatest frustration for those veterans was being unable to use their main advantage: their energies and magical weapons. Because of that, getting beaten purely through physical strength was doubly humiliating. Although they had been completely overwhelmed in a straightforward, brute-force fight, they felt that the restrictions had limited them far too much.

Priam simply ignored their shouting and continued forward with a calm, indifferent expression, his entire faction following closely behind him.

"Losers are always the same, aren’t they?" Dandara snorted disdainfully.

Shione nodded in agreement. "At least we made a great contribution to the sect. I guarantee half of those idiots won’t be able to have descendants in the future."

The women of the faction nodded with satisfied glints in their eyes. To them, the brawl had been a true nut-cracking festival.

There wasn’t a single woman among that aggressive army of law disciples. Not that women couldn’t take on such positions—they simply didn’t participate in things like this.

Hearing that, all the male spectators around them instantly went pale. They looked at the law disciples lying on the ground and noticed, to their horror, that more than half of them were curled up with both hands between their legs, trembling and quietly groaning.

The faction walked through the gate with triumphant expressions. Shortly afterward, other disciples came over to tend to the fallen.

Although they were pretty badly injured, since it had been a purely physical confrontation, the wounds weren’t fatal... or at least, they shouldn’t have been.

Nise and her companions remained speechless. What kind of insane madness had they just witnessed? After beating the crap out of an entire army of law disciples, Priam’s faction simply walked away as if nothing had happened, proudly wearing radiant smiles on their faces.

Priam stopped for a moment and asked the spectators for directions to the exact place where they needed to register.

With the help of the curious onlookers—who now treated them with extreme respect—the process was completed quickly. Finally, each of them received their official status tablet as an inner sect disciple.

With the paperwork finished, they were officially given seven days of free time to settle in.

However, as they walked toward the exit, they discovered that the main gate was completely blocked by a new and imposing group of people.

Priam narrowed his eyes.

’What the fuck is this? Are we going through some kind of entrance test, and I didn’t even know about it?’
