Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy
Chapter 845 - 864: Little Mo, Sorry, These Can Only Be Deleted
Silence—an endless, suffocating silence—spread through the small room.
This wasn’t right. The special segment had an incredibly high subscriber count; when Ting Mo checked the metrics that afternoon, the popularity was staggering. They had produced such a fantastic program, so she wondered why everyone was acting like this.
Ting Mo’s hands stiffened. "Sister Xiao Xiao, seniors... what’s wrong?"
Xiao Xiao was the first to break the silence. "It’s nothing. You’re back, Little Mo. Did you go out on location today? What kind of footage did you get?"
"It’s like this—" Although the timing felt a bit off, Ting Mo thought this news would cheer everyone up, so she continued, "I originally planned to shoot some general footage today, but on my way there, I noticed..."
She recounted the entire series of events: encountering the refugees, seeing them change directions, curiously following them to the Delicious Factory, and unexpectedly running into Jiang Qiuqiu—who had withdrawn from the competition—running a free medical clinic.
It was easy to get carried away when talking about something one loved. Ting Mo used engaging, vivid language to describe the scenes. The more she spoke, the more excited she became, eagerly showing everyone her harvest for the day.
She had a massive haul of video materials, including close-up footage of the medical treatments and several interesting Q&A interviews. There were also short articles and insights drafted from the interviews, along with photos of the food and brief food-tasting reviews. It was obvious that a lot of heart and effort had gone into all of it.
"Sister Xiao Xiao, has today’s behind-the-scenes feature been updated yet?
"Could we upload some of these videos in tonight’s behind-the-scenes segment? A lot of people have been looking forward to seeing her, and she was our ace contestant, after all."
She looked up at Xiao Xiao. Since this proposal would undoubtedly boost their popularity, Ting Mo had fully expected her to agree immediately. Instead, a highly complex expression appeared on Xiao Xiao’s face.
Ting Mo’s heart skipped a beat.
Xiao Xiao finally stirred. "Little Mo, you did a great job, but... no."
As soon as her voice fell, the camera robot by Ting Mo’s hand was abruptly snatched away by the cameraman. Then, Xiao Xiao locked Ting Mo’s permissions to post in the column.
Ting Mo was dumbfounded. "Sister Xiao Xiao... what’s going on?" Her heart sank to the bottom of her stomach.
Xiao Xiao didn’t want things to be this way either. "I told you before. There are some things we simply aren’t allowed to publish."
Then, right in front of Ting Mo’s eyes, the cameraman deleted all the videos she had shot that afternoon. Furthermore, Xiao Xiao demanded she wipe all the articles she had written. Once everything was cleared, Xiao Xiao pulled her over to sit on the bed.
"Little Mo, starting tomorrow, you are not allowed to move on your own. You have to follow the main team for interviews."
"But—" Ting Mo squirmed a bit, acting like an ordinary young girl worried about failing a promised task for a friend. "I promised my friend I’d help her with her graduation project materials."
"You can either get fired and help her, or drop it. Take your pick."
Ting Mo fell silent. Fired? Was it really that serious?!
That evening, the room was dead silent. Everyone began editing their videos, but the atmosphere was far gloomier than it had been over the past two days.
Desperate for more information, Ting Mo feigned innocent curiosity, incessantly asking Xiao Xiao what on earth had happened.
Xiao Xiao didn’t reveal much, only saying, "The person you interviewed got involved in something they shouldn’t have touched. Do you understand?"
Something she shouldn’t have touched?! Wasn’t it just a free clinic? Setting up a charity clinic and offering free medical treatment—how was that touching something she shouldn’t have?! She wondered who was behind this, and what was going on.
She wanted more detailed information, but no matter how much she pressed, Xiao Xiao refused to say another word. Since she couldn’t pry any more information out of them, she... she had to pass this news to the outside.
