Chapter 2374: Chapter 680: Ten Million Miles In Pursuit of My Wife (12)_3
"You two, get out!"
Qin Mu was taken aback, not knowing what to ask them at the moment, just feeling the two of them were incredibly awkward, and thus she softly ordered the siblings to leave.
They obediently turned and ran out.
Qin Mu, worried about scaring them, hurriedly said to him, "Let go of me quickly, Huanhuan and Chengcheng saw us!"
"Haven’t they seen it often before?"
Mu Yichen asked her in a low voice, reminding her again without the slightest hint of jest or mockery, merely stating the fact.
Only then did Qin Mu gradually calm down, though her heart was still unsettled for a long time, hoping the siblings weren’t frightened by her cold demeanor earlier.
"See, I told you Mom and Dad have made up, they’ve been sleeping together these past few days!"
Downstairs, Huanhuan excitedly caught her breath and didn’t forget to mention this to her brother.
"Looks like it’s only a matter of time before we go home!"
Chengcheng nodded, looking very trusting, which was rare for him to trust Huanhuan like this.
"Oh, I knew they would reconcile, haha, although Dad seems a bit cold, he’s always considerate of Mom and can always make her happy."
Mu Yichen’s image in Huanhuan’s mind grew even more towering.
"Mom is just stubborn, but she really loves Dad, she can’t live without him at all."
Huanhuan wrapped her arms around her elbows, looking as if she saw things very clearly.
Chengcheng imitated her, even taking a few steps, then turned back, lightly tapping his little finger on his elbow, acting all grown up: "Now that Mom and Dad have reconciled, are we going home soon?"
"Ask Dad later,"
Huanhuan thought for a moment and told her brother.
Chengcheng nodded again.
So at breakfast in the morning, the siblings exchanged glances, watching the two adults remain silent, but they couldn’t hold back, especially Huanhuan: "Dad, when are we going home?"
Mu Yichen, hearing this, lifted his eyes to look at Huanhuan full of anticipation mixed with suppressed excitement, instinctively turning to look at the woman beside him.
Qin Mu, feeling his gaze, looked back at Mu Yichen after seeing Huanhuan’s eyes: "He’s asking you!"
He’s asking you, why are you looking at me?
"Ask your mom!"
Mu Yichen, hearing Qin Mu’s words, simply threw the question back to her.
Qin Mu...
"Mom, when are we going home then?"
Chengcheng timidly asked, suddenly feeling a bit nervous for some reason. Did Mom and Dad really reconcile?
"Do you want to go home?"
Qin Mu softly asked them, suddenly realizing they seemed not too fond of staying here.
"I haven’t been to school for several days, and I miss Grandpa and Grandma!"
Huanhuan muttered, her eyes carrying a bit of sadness.
Qin Mu felt a sting of pain in her heart and then looked at Chengcheng: "What about you?"
"I miss my friends at kindergarten, and I miss home too!"
Chengcheng thought of his room full of toys and the warmth of home, though he couldn’t express it.
Qin Mu, after hearing this, contemplated in pain, then turned to Mu Yichen, looking at him with a resolute gaze.
"Then book the tickets!"
Qin Mu said to Mu Yichen.
"Yay! We can finally go home!"
"We’re going home, haha! We’re going home with Mom and Dad!"
"Hooray for Dad! Hooray for Mom!"
"Stop! You two are going back, I’m not going!"
Suddenly the siblings jumped up, bouncing and clapping behind the dining table, and Qin Mu realized they’d misunderstood and hurriedly stopped them.
And she really did stop them, the siblings immediately fell silent, just staring blankly at Qin Mu for a while, then turned to Mu Yichen for answers.
Mu Yichen showed no opinion, as everything was expected by him, so he looked at the disappointed children: "Eat first!"
The siblings, saddened, returned to their seats. Picking up the bowl, Huanhuan’s tears suddenly fell, appearing large and exceptionally precious.
Qin Mu secretly observed her, her heart feeling as though it was cut by a blade unknowingly, one slash after another.
Chengcheng no longer wanted to eat either, casting a resentful glance at his mom.
Feeling guilty towards them, Qin Mu wanted to explain but just as she opened her mouth, Chengcheng suddenly ran upstairs, saying nothing, hurrying away.
Qin Mu rested the spoon in her hand, her eyes silently reflecting the sorrow as she watched that departing back.
But how could she go back now?
"Mom and Dad, both of you like this make me and my brother very disappointed!"
Suddenly, Huanhuan put down the bowl she was holding and shouted in grievance before running off.
