Chapter 109 — Poor Miss Potter

Harry saw that Fudge’s expression had turned slightly unpleasant. Just when he thought Fudge was about to turn around and leave, Fudge immediately laughed again.

"Haha, Dumbledore, I’m only saying that there are accusations. Of course, I don’t believe them myself.

"I just have one question. Why did those people specifically ask for Vesey Potter? Harry Potter was obviously there at the time. They could have simply taken Harry Potter with them!"

Dumbledore didn’t answer.

He simply pulled Harry away.

"Where’s Vesey?"

Not long afterward, they saw Snape, who had just regained consciousness.

His face was pale, almost corpse-like.

"The Aurors are searching for—"

Dumbledore had barely spoken a sentence when Snape turned and left.

He knew Dumbledore wasn’t to blame for what had happened. He simply wanted to find Vesey as quickly as possible, together with the Aurors.

Harry didn’t notice Snape hurrying away. He just stared stubbornly at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore looked at him calmly.

"Harry, you should go outside and let the Aurors take you to St. Mungo’s. All the injured students are being taken there."

Harry shook his head.

"I don’t have any questions... There are questions..."

It was Vesey.

Thinking about how Vesey had been slapped by those people to save him, and how so many spells had been thrown at her, made his heart ache.

Dumbledore looked at him with some pity.

"Don’t worry. She’ll come back. Those people don’t want her dead!"

He knew it.

After learning that a group of vampire wizards was responsible, he immediately understood that this had been Voldemort’s doing.

He wanted the Vampire Conversion Potion.

Voldemort must have obtained the diary.

Perhaps an attack like this had happened in the original timeline as well.

That must have been when Vesey wanted to create the Vampire Conversion Potion.

The scale of the incident might have been large, but it certainly wouldn’t have been as comprehensive as this time.

And in that timeline, Vesey had indirectly caused the deaths of many wizards at the scene, offending several powerful families.

But this time, Vesey had been captured and specifically named.

It was obvious that there was human interference this time.

And that person was Voldemort.

Dumbledore was almost certain that the last of the six people the mysterious being had told him about was Tom.

Voldemort had clearly read the diary and wanted to obtain the Vampire Conversion Potion, so he had orchestrated this attack and captured Vesey.

He probably wanted Vesey to create the potion for him, and then...

Dumbledore felt a chill of fear.

He didn’t know what would happen to Vesey, but he knew very well that even if Voldemort didn’t kill her, she would suffer terribly.

For Vesey, who had escaped from that wolf’s den only a year ago, this might be another nightmare.

For the first time, Dumbledore began to hate that mysterious existence.

Someone who showed the diary to everyone, peeling away Vesey’s scars bit by bit...

That person had to be a devil!

At the same time.

Vesey was taken to a remote location by the vampire wizards.

She immediately used Energy Points to create a small area that isolated magic.

"Where did he tell you to take me? Or rather, what did he ask you to do to me?"

she asked curiously.

"The master told us to take you to the Riddle House first and lock you up for a while, and..."

They gave Vesey a wary look.

Vesey sighed.

She could practically guess what that old bastard Voldemort had in mind.

Put a group of men and a young girl together and just imagine what might happen.

She looked at the vampire wizards.

The wizards controlled by her Energy Points still retained most of their original personalities. They were almost exactly the same as before, and they even knew to call Voldemort Lord Voldemort.

The only thing that had changed was that they now obeyed Vesey.

However, their obedience would only last for about a month.

Two hundred Energy Points were enough for short-term control.

It took two thousand Energy Points to completely control a vampire wizard.

Vesey hadn’t had enough Energy Points at the time, so she had only placed them under short-term control.

Now that she had accumulated more Energy Points, she could kill some of them and completely control the rest.

These people would certainly be interrogated afterward, so she could control exactly what they should and shouldn’t say.

That would at least give Dumbledore some clues to work with.

And when Voldemort returned, these vampire wizards under her control would definitely prove useful.

Although she didn’t know exactly how yet, these wizards were quite powerful. She could simply make use of them later.

It was Voldemort himself who really gave her a headache.

Kill him?

Not only would his Trust Level reset, but the diary would probably collapse as well.

After all, if the biggest villain died, who would use that diary as an answer key?

Therefore, Voldemort had to stay alive.

But she had to find a way to make Voldemort behave himself when dealing with her.

There was no need to rush.

For now, she should simply take these people to the Riddle House.

That was where Voldemort had ordered them to take her. Killing a few vampire wizards there shouldn’t be a problem.

After all, Voldemort had ordered these people to do something terrible to her. In her anger, she could activate her Obscurus and kill several of them.

That would be easy enough to explain.

After all, if an innocent person were pushed to the brink like that, it would be perfectly believable for her Obscurus to emerge and even kill someone.

And her Obscurus had already been openly established.

"Let’s go!"

Vesey said.

Then, using her Energy Points, she deliberately left traces at the place where she had supposedly been assaulted by those people.

Every step had to leave traces.

If there were no traces at all, that would create problems.

Once she had finished, she left with the vampires.

Not long after they departed, the Aurors arrived at the location.

"A magical suppression spell was used here earlier. These people may have stayed here briefly before heading to their real destination.

"However, there must still be traces left behind. Let’s search the area thoroughly!"

an Auror said.

The other Aurors immediately began examining the area with their wands.

"There are eighteen sets of adult footprints and one child’s.

"But the child only moved around in one place... It should be Vesey Potter.

"She is still alive, but she has clearly lost the ability to fight."

"Another discovery: these people seem to have fought with one another here. There are traces of a struggle. They didn’t use spells—it was purely physical combat."

"In addition, we found a message that Miss Potter left behind about Riddle House. It seems to contain something she overheard during the conversation between these people.

"Of course, it’s also possible that those people deliberately forced her to leave the message behind..."

"Director, I also found something. It seems these people may have fought because of Miss Potter.

"Look here. Miss Potter appears to have been pushed to the ground. They probably tried to remove her clothes, and then an argument broke out..."

After saying this, they suddenly looked sympathetic.

They all knew what had probably happened.

Miss Potter would likely have been assaulted by those people...

Poor Miss Potter.
